Adventure Championships 2023 Sprint Triathlon

From the quarries of Llanberis to the spectacular Newborough Forest with a few little hills in between, this series is something you won’t forget in a hurry! North Wales is the only place in the UK where towering mountains meet crystal clear waters on sandy beaches and freshwater lakes. The distance may be shorter, but the experience is everything and more.
SLATEMAN SPRINT
What a start! The first part of the Adventure Championships, The Slateman Triathlon, is the most iconic adventure triathlon in Wales. Starting in Llanberis, the heart of Snowdonia’s industrial heritage, this is an unparalleled race which combines stunning scenery with epic challenges. 220 Tri Magazine has listed the Slateman run course as one of the best in the world!
SNOWMAN SPRINT
The second instalment of the Adventure Championships, the Snowman Triathlon, is not only the toughest event of the Adventure Championships but also known as the toughest event in the UK.
The Snowman encompasses all that the adventure playground of North Wales offers and is infamous for a reason; when you think you’re done, there is a different challenge you’re not expecting. Exciting, adrenaline-fuelled and a truly epic and unforgettable experience.
SANDMAN SPRINT
The final part of the Adventure Championships and a fitting close – the Sandman has been described as the most beautiful triathlon in the race calendar.
The race starts and ends in one of Anglesey’s most treasured spots, the incredible Newborough Forest, an exclusive 700-ha area of woodland adjacent to the world-famous Llanddwyn Beach.
One of the few Triathlons on the calendar with a beach start and sea swim, your supporters can build sandcastles and eat ice cream whilst you race!
