About Aspire
Every eight hours, someone in the UK is paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury. A spinal cord injury can happen to anyone at any time, there is no warning, no time to prepare, and no cure for the damage done.
Aspire is a national charity that works with people with spinal cord injuries to create opportunity, independence and choice. By fundraising in the Aspire Night Swim, you could help someone buy a lightweight wheelchair through Aspire Grants.
Your fundraising will also mean that Aspire can visit newly injured patients in hospital to offer support and advise them about our other services such as Aspire Housing, should they need accessible housing. It will also enable our Assistive Technology volunteers to train people, regardless of their level of injury, to use computers and get online.
Aspire ensures that everyone with a spinal cord injury has the opportunity to live an independent and fulfilled life. Aspire receives no statutory support and can only deliver these hugely important services with the help of its generous supporters.
