Carthage Race International Marathon 2018
The Race
The Carthage Race event will take place in Carthage with departure from the Carthage theater gate to Sidi Bousaid – La Marsa and back near Carthage parc on an accurately measured, fast and flat looped course . Full marathoners would need to run the half marathon plus 2 laps.

Full Marathon: Friday, February 23 th 2018 from 11 am till 6pm & Saturday, February 24th 2018 from 10am till 6pm.
START TIMES

This is 5 hours race. from 9:00 till 2 pm
RULES & REGULATIONS
Your registration for The Carthage Race Marathon, Half-Marathon, The 10 is non-refundable and non-transferable. However, if you have registered but find you are unable to participate you may choose to defer your entry to 2018. The option to defer will remain open until January 31, 2018.
AID STATIONS
5 Km mark + start/finish – Please plan your race responsibly – REFUEL regularly. February can be medium cold. Carry extra water & electrolytes.
We take our aid stations seriously – we will be stocked with juice drink, water, bananas, dates… etc.
One Note: If you know that you rely on one specific food item each loop, e.g. bananas, then you should plan on bringing your own supply. The aid stations are to serve ALL runners with ALL foods. Our goal is to help everyone finish their race!

Awards for all races to top Male & Female Runner overall, and 1st Male & Female Runner in each age division (<40, 40-49, 50-59, 60+).
No duplication of awards. A custom designed medal for all finishers.

EVENT RULES AND GUIDELINES
The following event rules and guidelines are intended to help ensure the safety of all participants, to meet the requirements of local government permits and to be compliant with applicable International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) regulations for participant performance records and event liability.
All entry fees are non-refundable and Sports Med’Event’s.Co retains the right to refuse entry to anyone declaring false information on their entry form, not making the required payment, or otherwise failing to meet the stated entry requirements.
PARTICIPATION
An email address is required for all entries. All correspondence will be via email. A separate email address for each participant is preferred but not required.
Your email address will be passed to our official marathon photographers for the purpose of posting a link to your official race photos, timings and any other relevant information.
Each entrant is automatically signed up to the marathon newsletter with training plans and event information. Entrants can opt out at any time by sending an « unsubscribe » email.
To register you must be 18 years of age or older on event day.
Each participant must agree to the disclaimer and Terms & Conditions before participating in the event.
All participants take part at their own risk and a disclaimer waiving all claims against the organisers and any party acting on its behalf must be completed by all entrants.
Registrants must be capable of completing the full distance, start line to finish line, within the event time requirement. For the marathon, this is 5 hours and 2 hours.
The event time requirement and age minimum apply to all forms of entry and event participation.
All participants must provide their full name and details of any health problems or medication upon entry.
By taking part, all participants confirm that they are happy for their names and any footage or photographs taken during their participation to be used to publicize any Sports Med’Event’s Co.event.
Participant race number bibs are specific personal identifiers and may not be exchanged with or transferred/sold to any other person. Sale and/or transfer of race entry/bibs are strictly prohibited and will result in the disqualification and/or banning of any individuals involved from future events.
Registration closure is determined and announced when event participation reaches the established capacity.
EVENT DAY
• Participants must follow instructions as given from all event officials including race staff, volunteers, medical personnel, security officers and city officials throughout the duration of the event.
• All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner during their participation in the event. This means, for example, that urinating or defecating anywhere on or near the course shall be strictly prohibited except in toilet facilities. Anyone violating this rule of conduct shall be disqualified from the event and will be asked to leave the course.
• Every participant shall be provided with an event bib number, which shall be conspicuously worn on the front during the event. The event bib number is to be worn as issued. No participant shall be permitted to participate in the event without the appropriate bib number.
• Baby joggers, baby strollers, skateboards, Nordic sticks, roller blades, unauthorized bicycles or any other wheeled device will not be permitted on the course.
