The Commando Obstacle Mud Run offers a unique and adrenaline-pumping experience, combining the intensity of a military-inspired obstacle course with the grit and toughness of the Royal Marines Commando training. Choose from three challenging distances: 3K, 6K, or 12K, and conquer a series of rugged obstacles designed to push your limits. This event is the only one that recreates the mud, sweat, and sheer determination required in real Commando training.
Our experienced team have crafted a truly immersive event where participants not only tackle the demanding course but also engage in a 2-hour survival experience within the castle grounds. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be transported into the world of a Royal Marine Commando, testing your endurance, teamwork, and mental toughness.
Spectators can get in on the action too! Watch the thrilling obstacles unfold from the event village, where you can enjoy a variety of attractions, including a climbing wall, live music, a fully stocked bar, and even a visit to the historic castle itself.
The Venue
Hever Castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn. Fortified with crenellations, a moat, and a portcullis. The 400-year-old defensive structure and a British icon create the perfect backdrop for The Commando. Later taken on by Lord Astor, himself a decorated military leader who preserved, improved and protected this heritage site. Hever Castle represents challenge, heritage, success, and military excellence.

Spectators are welcome and encouraged to soak up the Commando atmosphere. This payment also gives you full range of the stunning grounds. As the course circumnavigates the Hever Castle estate, there are several spectating areas. Along with the spectacular Hever Castle gardens and visitors’ entertainment, the event village promises to be a hive of activity, including retail outlets, music and food and drink vendors.
