Devon Dualthon Autumn 2023

OVERVIEW

Bicton College is a  stunning location for a duathlon, with quiet local roads & trails and ample free parking.

The sprint duathlon, a British Triathlon European qualifier for 2024, starts with a 5k mixed terrain run. The bike is an anti-clockwise 22K loop on rolling roads. The final run is an accurately measured out & back 2.5K tarmac run on the first half of the 5k run course. If you’re competing in the qualifier, you must register as a qualifier on the British Triathlon website.

The standard distance duathlon begins with a 10 km 2 lap run on tarmac & gravel paths. The bike leg is 43 km and is two laps of our sprint distance bike course on rolling roads. The Standard duathlon finishes with a final one-lap 5K.

All duathlons are non-drafting & run in accordance with the British Triathlon Federation rules.

Plenty of free parking in the car park at the top of the drive on the right.

  • Medals

There is a medal for all finishers. Please note we operate a one-prize per-person policy. So if a vet is an overall winner, they will get that medal & prize & the other Vet 40s will move up one place.

Award categories are all for males & females except Team Relay, which is unisex.
Prizes for the top 3 provided we have at least 6 in the category two weeks before the date of the race. Otherwise, the prize will just be for the winner of the category.
If we have more than 150 entries in a race, we will also award prizes to the Top Senior.
