The beautiful seaside town of Eastbourne welcomes athletes back for the Eastbourne Triathlon on the 14th June 2020. The 2020 event will once again feature a standard distance race alongside the established sprint distance event. Athletes of all abilities and experience, from novice to elite, can sign up to take on the challenge. Starting from the lifeguard’s beach, triathletes will take on an iconic route, swimming against the backdrop of the historic Eastbourne pier, cycling the roads through the South Downs National Park via Beachy Head and running on the iconic promenade to Holywell, before finishing on the Western Lawns.
The sprint distance event is ideal for novice triathletes, consisting of a 750m swim, 18.3km cycle and a 5km run. The Olympic distance race is a 1,500m swim, followed by a challenging 41.5km cycle and a 10km run.
There are also relay and aquathon (swim/run) options for both distances.
