Renamed as the Kendal ‘Castle’ triathlon, this event will take you round Kendal Castle. This is a great first sprint distance triathlon.
You’ll start with a 400m swim in the pool and then transition to your bike for an out and back route which has a timed out neutral zone. Finally, a 5km off-road run using the route of the old canal for a short distance then onto woodland trails and the grassy slopes up to the Castle ruins before returning to the centre for congratulations and of course your well earned medal.
In whole the event is a 400m swim, 18km road bike and 5km run. It’s ideal for first timers or experienced and elite racers, to start the season with a flourish! The atmosphere is relaxed and the course is fast, so join us for an early season sprint!
