Monster Dash is a family friendly event that takes place at the Ontario Science Centre. The race consists of a Spooky Mile and an accurately measured 5km and 10km run/walk. The 5km and 10km will be chip timed for prizing and posting results!
Never fear Monsters, costumes are not mandatory; however, it is encouraged for additional prizes to be awarded to best costume, scariest costume, best group/team costume and more!
KIDS SPOOKY MILE
The Spooky Mile will be restricted to participants who are 12 and under. It will be a fun run and there will be a clock for kids to see their time, however it will not be chip timed.
Spooky Mile kids will receive a finisher’s ribbon, a Miles head scarf and goodie bag in addition to the same post-race amenities as the adults. The best part is the surprise candy stations along the way so don’t forget to bring your trick or treat bag!
5K and 10K
Join the fun and check out the many costumes and characters, from the giggling goblins in the Spooky Mile for kids to the fastest batmen, princesses and vampires in the chip timed 5k and 10km runs.
The Youth and the Adult Race starts together and goes through the dark and scary Sunnybrook Park.
All finisher will receive a unique, best in class finishers coffin medal.
Race Director Peter Donato believes aspiring Halloweeners shouldn’t shy away from creativity. After all, “Halloween is the one time of the year when we can pretend to be someone else, so bring on the scary and bring on the fun!”
