The Orangutan International Run 2018
The main objective in organising The Orangutan International Run 2018 event is to create awareness on the plight of critically endangered orangutans found in Borneo and Sumatra Islands.
We aim to create a wildlife and environment caring society – being that Sandakan is internationally known for it’s Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre – the first and the oldest rehabilitation centre in the world.
The run is also to commemorate and celebrate the “World Wildlife Day 2018” which falls on 3rd March 2018.
