Richmond RunFest – Kew Gardens
Kew Gardens 10k race Starting & Finishing:
The Broadwalk, via Victoria Gate, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, Richmond.
The Richmond RunFest – Kew Gardens 10k will start in Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and finish in Old Deer Park. All runners and their supporters can enter Kew Gardens free of charge and we have baggage trucks in place to collect your personal belongings and transport them securely to the finish line where they will be safely stored until collection.
We strongly advise all runners to arrive more than 1 hour before your race. Any late comers who arrive after 8.40 am will be denied entry and will not be able to take part in the race. This also is the same for friends and family. Friends and family can enter after 8.40am but will have to pay a normal Kew Gardens ticket (visit Kew Gardens website for prices).
Please take Sunday public transport timetables and delays into consideration. There are facilities in Kew Gardens serving hot drinks and food so come early and enjoy the surroundings before your run.
Parking is unavailable at Kew Gardens and we strongly advise participants to travel to Kew Gardens via public transport. If you are driving, we suggest you park in Richmond and travel to the start via public transport (bus/ train) or on foot.
Suggested car park is next to Richmond Station.
Can supporters and family see me in Kew Gardens for free?
Yes, Kew Gardens have kindly waivered any entrance fee in the morning, no tickets needed so runners can get the send off and finish they deserve. Cafes will be open for hot and cold beverages.
PLEASE NOTE: Friends and family need to be inside Kew Gardens before 8.40am otherwise they will have to pay the normal entry fee when the gates reopen to the general public.
Terrain:
Kew Gardens 10K: All on road and path inside Kew Gardens. Flat and fast!
No pace makers for the half or 10k
Water stations:
Water stations are at 3 miles, 6.5 miles, 9.5 miles, 10.5miles, 13.5 miles, 16 miles, 18 miles, 20.2 miles, 23.8 miles and at the finish.
Race Start Location: Broad Walk, Royal Botanic Gardens, Access via Victoria Gate (TW9 3JR), on Kew Road (A307) opposite Lichfield Road.
Race Finish Location and festival: Old Deer Park, (next to Pools on the Park Leisure Centre) Twickenham Rd, Richmond, Surrey TW9 2SF
