Tel Aviv Samsung Marathon 2018
The Tel Aviv Samsung Marathon is a leading sport event to take place again this spring in one of the most exciting Mediterranean cities.
Tel Aviv is among the leading metropolitan attractions in the world, integrating one of the most ancient port cities – Jaffa with vibrant modern Tel Aviv. The city is a fascinating urban mixture of east and west uniquely rich in culture, business and entertainment.
The Tel Aviv Samsung Marathon is a multi-course event allowing runners in all levels and styles to take part. It is a yearly citywide celebration designed for professional long-distance runners as well as beginners.
This year’s marathon offers the following courses:
Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and a Kids Mini Marathon.
The event will also include 42K Handcycle race for people with special needs. Marathon runners will enjoy a beautiful run along the seashore and the main streets of Tel Aviv, an official UNESCO world heritage site, promising a one of a kind experience.
The Marathon is one of Tel Aviv’s core international projects, this year 40,000 people are expected to participate, making it the most popular running event in Israel.
– The Kick-off Area will be located on Rokach Blvd. Next to Merkaz Hayeridim
– There are 2 starting gates labeled A-B.
= Entrance will only be allowed for those whose bib numbers are for the upcoming kick-off. Entrance to each gate is based upon the letter (A or B) which will be printed on the left side of each runner’s bib number. Your gate number has been determined by the goal time you specified upon registering.

Note: All courses start and end at the gate at Rokach Blvd. (Between Park Hayarkon and Merkaz Hayeridim)

The race organizers reserve the right to make any changes.
Entrance to the 500 meter race courses is limited for one adult chaperone only
No entry for baby strollers to the race course
Mini Marathon participant’s kit distribution will take place at Rabin Square:
Sunday, February 19, between 12:00 pm- 9:00 pm
Monday-Tuesday, February 20-21, between 11:00 am- 9:00 pm
Wednesday, February 22, between 11:00 am- 9:00 pm
On event day at Sarona:
From 4:00 PM until the end of the event
Kits will not be distributed at Rabin Square on Wednesday between 12:00pm-4:00 pm
Cut Off Times
Marathon 42.2K – 6 hours after kick off
Half Marathon – 2:45 hours after kick off
10K – 1:45 hours after last kick off
5K – 50 minuts after kick off
Every registered runner will receive a medal (given to them at the finish line) and a race kit which includes:
● Adidas running shirt
● Timing chip*
● Bib number
● Various giveaway items
Race kit will be handed out during the Marathon Expo.
The Expo will take place on February 18-22 at Rabin Square, located at the heart of Tel Aviv.
Sunday, February 18 from 12pm until 9pm
Monday, February 19 – Wednseday, February 21 from 11am until 9pm
Thursday, February 22 from 12pm until 5pm
* Timing chip is not supplied in the 5K and Kids Mini Marathon
In case the runner can’t collect his/her race kit, it can be picked up by a representative accompanied by a power of attorney and a photo ID of the runner.
Receiving Race Kit via Courier Mail
Entrants may have their race kit personal delivered by courier mail until January 22 at 16:00 for an additional fee of 60 NIS. Shipping available within israeli borders only.
