Train for your upcoming run or walk. The event is aimed to integrate like minded trail runners of all abilities, to share our passion and experiences. Support and techniques for trail running will be provided.
You will make new friends, relax and best of all get some miles of beautiful but serious trail running in. The hope is that you will leave these mountains feeling motivated and exhilarated having gained some experience and running confidence on the trails.
Medical support will also be available. We will have transport to pick up runners at various points if required.
Itinerary
Friday 15th November
You are more than welcome to arrive anytime on Friday evening after 16:00, where you will be greeted by some of the Trail Events Co Team along with coffee/tea and some delicious homemade cake.
We will have an evening getting to know each other with a lovely meal prepared for you (catering for all dietary needs). All of the weekends’ events will be discussed and looked at over Friday evening chats with like minded trail runners!
We will also sort the groups for the weekends’ running adventures, so don’t worry about what level you are at or if you are a complete beginner- we will have a group to meet your training needs.
TEA/ COFFEE / FRUIT DRINKS & BISCUITS WILL BE AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND
4pm onwards arrival
Home made cake with hot /cold drinks
6pm – meet and greet the team – introductions
7pm – Food & drinks- everyone is welcome to bring alcohol or anything else that they wish
8pm – discuss groups and study maps/ discussion on routes/ abilities/ weather / kit check
Saturday 16th November
From 6.30 – Breakfast, including toast, cereal, fruit, yogurt, bacon & eggs plus a range of drinks
7am – Running & medic staff arrive. Kit check and route check
By 8am – Runners leave base on specified routes
Groups to either return to base for lunch or remain out for the longer trails (with packed lunch)
Groups that return – return to the trails
4pm – Sandwiches, tea & cake. Group discussion
6pm – Staff leave. Runners are free to explore local restaurants, make the most of the kitchen or order take away from various restaurants, enjoy the fire pit and a well-earned drink.
Sunday 17th
