Kids Duathlon Event 2019
Due to the ongoing success of our Twyford Kids Triathlon we’re very excited to be moving our Kids Duathlon to the same venue. The community of Twyford really gets behind our events with yummy refreshments on offer from the Youth Centre and lots of local kids taking part.
Event has been put forward to be part of the Triathlon England South Central Junior Series for the third year.
Off-road run and cycle on grass around large recreation ground.
Open to all children aged 8 (including those turning 8 in 2019) – 14 years old. Open to all abilities — come and have some fun, and bring your family and friends!

10am start – TriStars Start (Age 8, YOB 2011)
400m Run/ 850m Cycle/200m Run
10:15am start – TriStars 1 (Age 9-10, YOB 20010/9)
1.2km Run/1.7km Cycle/400m Run
10:45am start – TriStars 2 (Age 11-12, YOB 2008/7)
1.6km Run/3.4km Cycle/600m Run
11:30am start – TriStars 3 (Age 13 – 14, YOB 2006/5)
2km Run/5.1km Cycle/800m Run
NOTE: Age group is based on age as of 31st December 2019
COURSE:
Traffic-free, large flat, grass field.
Children always in sight of a marshal.
RULES OF PARTICIPATION:
Age restrictions: ‘8 – 14 (as of 31 December 2019)
No headphones to be worn at any time during the event — this is for your own safety and the safety of other competitors. We will disqualify any competitor we find wearing headphones.

COST:
£17 entry fee – no online entry fees
ADDITIONAL £1 fee for non-British Triathlon Members
Online entry will close at midnight, Wednesday 8 May.
Cancellation/Refund:
Subject to our cancellation policy and consistent with other organisations, there is a need to protect the staging of this event and the resultant costs incurred by the event organiser. Before any entries are accepted, events start to incur costs which places the organiser at risk. The organiser is forced to recoup costs to ensure the event’s ongoing success. Failure to do so has predictable results. From the moment you enter this event further costs are created therefore there are no cancellation reimbursements or refunds.
