DESCRIPTION:Date:Saturday 20th May 2023Venue:Barony Park\, Nantwich\, South Cheshire\, CW5 5QYEvent Start:From 1200hrsAge Range:5 Years to 16 Years (on race day)Prices:From £15 (each distance individually priced).\n\n\n\nThe Event\n\n\n\nThe Cheshire Kids Duathlon offers a spectator-friendly venue for supporting family or friends and a fun and relaxed atmosphere is guaranteed. \n\n\n\n\nAchievable distances for all abilities of 7-16 yr olds\n\n\n\nThe event course is contained within the grounds of Barony Park\n\n\n\nGrass cycle & run courses (all on grass)\n\n\n\nUK Kids Fun Triathlon finishers medal for every participant\n\n\n\nOfficial UK Kids Fun Event tech tees & hoodies available to purchase on the day\n\n\n\n\nNB: There will be a promotional video being filmed at the event\, so please be aware of this \n\n\n\nAs organisers of the biggest triathlon series across the UK\, we are passionate and proud of what we do. \n\n\n\nThe Kids Fun Duathlons are no exception and leave everyone with a special sense of achievement at the end of an event when hundreds of smiling kids’ faces\, parents’ words of appreciation and promises to return next year confirm that the end result was worth every bit of hard work all round. \n\n\n\nPlease Note: Competitor Race Day Information (Individual Start Times\, Bib Numbers etc.) will be emailed to competitors 7-10 days before the event. \n\n\n\nDistances\n\n\n\nFor Guidance OnlyEvent NameRunBikeRun5-7 yrsTIN100m1k500m6-9 yrsZINC200m1k500m8-11 yrsSTEEL200m2k1000m10-13 yrsBRONZE400m3k1500m12-15 yrsSILVER400m4k2000m13-16 yrsGOLD600m4k2500mAll AgesRELAY TEAM600m4k2500m\n\n\n\nCourse Maps\n\n\n\nCheshire Kids Duathlon – Main CourseCourse map not to scale. \n\n\n\nKids Duathlon Course logistics: \n\n\n\nRun Course 1 will be the start of the Duathlon for all the children (yellow lines). \n\n\n\nOnce they have completed Run Course 1\, the children will get their bikes out of the Cycle Transition. \n\n\n\nThey will run or walk to the cycle mount line. \n\n\n\nThey can only get onto their bike once they have crossed the cycle mount line. \n\n\n\nOnce they have completed all their allocated laps on the bike course\, they go back into the cycle transition and place their bike back onto the cycle racking in the same place (White lines). \n\n\n\nThe children must dismount their bikes before the dismount line. \n\n\n\nThen complete their allocated laps on Run Course 2 before going down the finish line (Orange lines). \n\n\n\nAll Relay teams will complete the same course as the 13 to16-year-olds \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRace Day Information\n\n\n\nPlease take some time to read all the event information.
