The swim course (750 meters/.5 miles)  is a triangle swim marked with orange buoys on the straights every 100 meters and 150 meters on the turn marked with two yellow buoys. The swim will be a counter clockwise swim keeping buoys on your left shoulder.  Swimmers will exit the course at Dolphin Beach. The bike takes place in the community of Montclair. With the coordination of the Cohasset Swim Center\, the South Shore Music Circus\, the Cohasset Public Schools\, and the Cohasset Board of Selectman this will be a sensational opportunity for your kids to get involved in a healthy and active sport. All of the participants in this event will be a winner! \n  \nCourse\nWe believe we have designed a perfect course to introduce our young athletes into the sport of triathlon. \nNothing is more important than the safety of every participant. We will work very hard to ensure all of our young participants are safe and having a great time. Unless there is an emergency\, there will be no cars on the course while the athletes are racing. Race volunteers and safety personnel will be positioned throughout the course. SUMMARY:The 3rd Annual Swim for Kids Event
DESCRIPTION:Swim for Kids Event 2019\nSaturday\, July 27\, 2019 marks the 3rd Annual Swim for Kids.  \nThis 1.5 km and 3 km open water swim in beautiful Lake Ontario will be held at Lake Ontario Park. The swim is open to swimmers aged 12+ of all abilities and provides a healthy way to enjoy some friendly competition while supporting two great causes: Easter Seals Ontario and YMCA of Kingston Y Penguins Aquatic Club. \nSwim for Kids Highlights\nHighlights of the event include the post-swim breakfast and awards ceremonies. Here\, swimmers celebrate their accomplishments\, receive awards\, prizes and recognition for their swimming and fundraising efforts\, as well as have the opportunity to meet YMCA of Kingston and Easter Seals local Ambassadors. Any assistance\, other than medical aid received during the swim will result in immediate disqualification.\n7.    No persons other than the participants and officials are permitted in the swimming area.\n8.    Participants in difficulty shall signal by raising an arm to the escorting kayaks for assistance.\n9.    Once assistance is rendered\, the participant must retire from the competition. \nCYCLING\n1.    Participants must ensure that their Bib Numbers are clearly visible on their adorned apparel at all times.\n2.    No bare torso is allowed at all times.\n3.    Participants are to ride in single file on the left side of the road except when passing another participant and are reminded to observe traffic rules at all times.\n4.    All participants will be required to perform their own repairs if their bicycles should break down.\n5.    Support vehicles and crews are not permitted.\n6.    All participants must wear helmets from the time they remove their bicycle from the rack.\n7.    The helmet must stay on the participant’s head until he/she has placed his/her bicycle at the allocated spot on the bicycle rack.\n8.    It is the participants’ responsibility to ensure that their bicycles and bicycle brakes are in good working condition.\n9.    Wearing headphones is not allowed at all times. Communication or entertainment devices of any type are strictly prohibited during competition.\n10.    Drafting is NOT allowed. You are considered drafting when you are within 5 metres of another participant’s rear wheel or riding next to someone within 2 meters. \nRUNNING\n1.    Participants must wear their Bib Numbers clearly visible on their adorned apparel at all times.\n2.    Support vehicles or pacers are not allowed.\n3.    Participants must run on the designated path for the entire route. DESCRIPTION:The Marathon course follows a part of the Olympic route along the Amstel River\, past stately homes and a few windmills. This route offers beautiful rural scenery (which includes the Arena) and gives an impression of the huge amount of daily business that takes place on the Amstel. \n  \n \nThe TCS Amsterdam Marathon is an IAAF Gold Label Road Race that for years has had one of the fastest courses in the world. DESCRIPTION:The courses for both the Miami Beach Halloween Half Marathon & the Freaky 4-Miler will start from South Pointe Park for the 2019 event! DESCRIPTION:Monster Dash is a family friendly event that takes place at the Ontario Science Centre. The race consists of a Spooky Mile and an accurately measured 5km and 10km run/walk. The 5km and 10km will be chip timed for prizing and posting results! \nNever fear Monsters\, costumes are not mandatory; however\, it is encouraged for additional prizes to be awarded to best costume\, scariest costume\, best group/team costume and more! \nKIDS SPOOKY MILE\nThe Spooky Mile will be restricted to participants who are 12 and under. It will be a fun run and there will be a clock for kids to see their time\, however it will not be chip timed.  \nSpooky Mile kids will receive a finisher’s ribbon\, a Miles head scarf and goodie bag in addition to the same post-race amenities as the adults.
