DESCRIPTION:If you have never been to Riga then running a marathon or half-marathon could be a good reason to visit one of the most beautiful cities on the Baltic Sea coast. Marathon running has a long history in Riga City and after 28 years it has grown to welcome 38 000 runners from 82 countries offering five racing categories\, together with many running festivities throughout the weekend. \nRimi Riga Marathon has been awarded to prestigious IAAF Gold Label thus confirming the high quality and excellent organizational level of the race. \nThe course lies in the very centre of Riga City and all runners can enjoy the charm of the largest city in the Baltic States. The course allows all visitors to run on both sides of the Daugava River\, the largest river in Latvia and with the help of three bridges – Vanšu\, Akmens and Salu. Runners can enjoy some of the most beautiful spots in Riga – the Art Nouveau district\, the amazing panorama of Old Riga and Pārdaugava\, as well as the paved streets of the Medieval Hanseatic Old Town and wooden architecture of Ķīpsala island. Ensure you drink plenty of water throughout the day prior to the event and drink early in the event before you become thirsty. Stop to walk or at least slow down at drink stations to allow adequate rehydration. DO NOT compete if you have had diarrhoea within 48 hours prior to the event or are suffering from a viral infection or even feeling unwell.\nREMEMBER to also drink plenty of water after the event. DESCRIPTION:The World’s Largest Junior Triathlon \nHever Castle Triathlon has established itself as an essential destination for British and international triathletes and the mainstream media\, for its picture postcard venue\, elite action\, age-group choice and festival atmosphere. Put simply\, instant classic doesn’t do the Hever Castle Triathlon justice. \nSibling bonding\, friendship and sporting camaraderie are the theme at the Hever Castle Triathlon. The World’s largest children’s triathlon continues the Brownlee spirit\, with a festival of sport at the historical Kentish and iconic venue. \nAs in previous years\, the children’s races are split over two days (8-10 year olds on Saturday afternoon and 11-15 year olds on Sunday afternoon). \nThe races will again commence with an open-water swim in the spectacular 38 acre Hever Castle Lake and River Eden\, transitioning into the undulating cycle that takes athletes around a circuit through the High Weald of Kent\, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty\, and up to the stunning Ashdown forest for the longer distance races. We’ll see you on the start line! \n\nCOVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS) UPDATE\nWe are closely monitoring the developments with COVID-19 and will continue to take the advice of the UK government around the staging of large public events. \nAt present the Great South Run is scheduled to go ahead as planned\, but we will assess over the coming weeks and update participants as a priority if anything changes. \nWe understand the commitment and dedication you make when you enter one of our events and we would not take any decision to cancel or postpone lightly. We love delivering our events and we work hard to make sure our participants can enjoy them in a safe and happy environment. \nIn the meantime we want to reassure you all that we are keeping in close contact with Public Health England. If circumstances dictate that we must cancel any of our events everyone who had entered would be entitled to a refund. \n  \n\n
