DESCRIPTION:Ipoh\, Perak\, Malaysia is going to have two great international athletes leading workshops and training camps for anyone interested in Triathlon.  Swimming Cycling and Running. \n  \nHi Everyone \nBelow is you’ll find the weekly training structure for our group and others that are bound to join. It will help develop us all for our goals moving forward even if your goal is just to be a healthier happier person J \nThese sessions start TOMORROW and I just want to run you through some key points on the plan. \nThe track session is a key session for the week and will develop your run technique and leg speed\, giving you tremendous pace awareness. The first session TOMORROW is an important session where I will test your aerobic capacity (or your run VO2 max)\, this can be done fairly accurately with a simple time trial and will provide paces which will really help each training phase. If you do own a pace watch PLEASE wear it to each session and I will provide you with your paces that we will be using after our simple test tomorrow. We meet at the polo ground run track (around the pond) at 7am sharp for a 1 hour session. \nSwim sessions are less than I would like at just two 1 hour sessions per week\, we should swim more than this and we eventually will\, but please attend these two sessions if possible and use the techniques learnt in your own sessions. Just pay your public entry fee at 8am to access the outside MBI pool\, PLEASE bring Fins\, Paddles\, Pull Buoy and kick board if you have them and if you do not PLEASE purchase them as you will not be able to participate in valuable drills without them! Head to the pool as quickly as possible so we can get in and secure a centre section of the pool in what is a public session. \nKelly’s Castle TT on Tuesday nights is both fun and a very valuable session we will meet at the Sri Maha Mariamman Hindu Temple next to Kellies Castle https://goo.gl/maps/8yAqnVkHmaE2 I have agreed parking here for all our participants\, but please kindly make a donation at the box inside the temple to show our appreciation for accepting us! These sessions WILL build speed and develop your threshold power through the season\, I can give you pointers on this\, but the fun bit is that all results will be entered onto a league table to provide end of year results which will result in prizes and awards for the most improved and fasted riders as well as some fun awards as well! It will help develop us all for our goals moving forward even if your goal is just to be a healthier happier person J \nThese sessions start TOMORROW and I just want to run you through some key points on the plan. \nThe track session is a key session for the week and will develop your run technique and leg speed\, giving you tremendous pace awareness. The first session TOMORROW is an important session where I will test your aerobic capacity (or your run VO2 max)\, this can be done fairly accurately with a simple time trial and will provide paces which will really help each training phase. If you do own a pace watch PLEASE wear it to each session and I will provide you with your paces that we will be using after our simple test tomorrow. We meet at the polo ground run track (around the pond) at 7am sharp for a 1 hour session. \nSwim sessions are less than I would like at just two 1 hour sessions per week\, we should swim more than this and we eventually will\, but please attend these two sessions if possible and use the techniques learnt in your own sessions. Just pay your public entry fee at 8am to access the outside MBI pool\, PLEASE bring Fins\, Paddles\, Pull Buoy and kick board if you have them and if you do not PLEASE purchase them as you will not be able to participate in valuable drills without them! Head to the pool as quickly as possible so we can get in and secure a centre section of the pool in what is a public session. \nKelly’s Castle TT on Tuesday nights is both fun and a very valuable session we will meet at the Sri Maha Mariamman Hindu Temple next to Kellies Castle https://goo.gl/maps/8yAqnVkHmaE2 I have agreed parking here for all our participants\, but please kindly make a donation at the box inside the temple to show our appreciation for accepting us! These sessions WILL build speed and develop your threshold power through the season\, I can give you pointers on this\, but the fun bit is that all results will be entered onto a league table to provide end of year results which will result in prizes and awards for the most improved and fasted riders as well as some fun awards as well! DESCRIPTION:Kids Smart Cycling Class\nKids on Bikes will be hosting a Smart Cycling class as a professional development opportunity for our staff\, but we encourage other community members to participate.  The Smart Cycling class may be useful for anyone who hopes to lead group rides\, coach bicycling camps\, volunteer with Kids on Bikes\, or just wants to become a more confident rider. \nFriday\, April 5th: 6pm – 9pm\nThe first section of the class will take place on Friday at the Pedal Station (1026 S Tejon St.) and will cover basic bike maintenance\, bicycling attire and accessories\, and nutrition.  Participants only need to bring themselves to this session\, though we do encourage arriving by bike if possible. \nSaturday\, April 6th: 9am – 3pm\nThe second day of the class will take place at the Colorado Springs Sustaina center (704 E Boulder St.) and involves a mix of classroom time\, on-street and trail riding\, and bicycling skill practice.  Participants must provide their own bike and helmet. \nWeather Policy: We expect the class to take place rain or shine\, but exceptions may be made if roads are dangerously icy or snowy. SUMMARY:Glentress Seven 2019 - MTB Endurance Event
DESCRIPTION:MTB Endurance Event 2019\nThe Glentress Seven is now Scotland’s most popular MTB endurance event – a great day’s riding and racing for everyone\, with the emphasis on great trails and a friendly\, fun atmosphere. \nThe 11km (approx.) course features some nice climbs\, fantastic singletrack\, great descents and a whole lot of fun – you can go as hard\, or easy\, as you like. The main descent is a total classic and not open for riding the rest of the year. Ride solo or in teams of two or three\, the most laps in seven hours wins. It’s a fun course – some people even say there seems to be more downhill than up! \nNew for this year – a limited number of camping spots for vans or tents will be available next to the parking field. There is also more camping and pods close by at the Glentress Forest Lodges\, these have access to toilets\, showers\, drying and kitchen facilities on site. \nA seven hour race – how it works\nThe aim\, to complete as many laps as you can in the seven hour limit. If you are riding in a team\, you ride in relay – there’s only one team member on the course at any one time. All timing is via an electronic card which is worn by the team member on course – when a rider crosses the lap finish line their time is recorded\, and they then pass the card onto the next team member and so on. The last chance to start a final lap will give enough time for one frantic effort for that final (winning?) lap. \nRiders can do as many laps as they want/can manage in the time. The transition/timing/ team change-over area is in the event village. The course is marked out all the way round and there are marshals at all key positions. \nRiders can go as hard or easy as they like\, and there’s always the lure of a nice cake and a good blether (and even a beer!) down at the event village. There’s also a cake and water station at the top of the course. \nThe race starts at 10am on Saturday 25 May. You must register beforehand to collect your race number\, timing chip and course information. DESCRIPTION:Explorers Mountain Bike Camp\nOur summer Bike Camps offer kids the opportunity to develop overall bicycling and mountain bike skills\, see a variety of terrain\, explore the local trail systems\, and cultivate a love for bicycling at a young age. Proceeds from our bike camps help us fulfill our mission and break down barriers to bicycling all year long. \nThese kids are riding on two wheels\, but are overall new to riding a bicycle and are still young (between ages 4 up to 7). This is a half day camp with lots of skill development games and fun rides to get these kids more confidence and focus on certain aspects of riding.  \nThe goal is to focus on having fun and being safe. At this camp we usually see a single speed bike with coaster brakes and 12-16” wheels.

DESCRIPTION:DYNAFIT VAIL HILLCLIMB PRESENTED BY VAIL’S MOUNTAIN HAUS.\n  \n\n\n\nRACE INFORMATION\nNamed best trail race by Colorado Runner Magazine in 2006 and 2011\, the Dynafit HillClimb tests local\, regional and national runners with a 7.7 mile climb from Vail Village to Mid-Vail. \nThe Dynafit Vail HillClimb will begin at 7 a.m. in Vail Village – next to Vail’s Mountain Haus – and finish at Mid-Vail after ascending over 2\,200 vertical feet.  Race participants will follow the historic gravel double-track route that has made the Dynafit HillClimb a favorite among trail running enthuasists. The race course will head east from Eagle’s Nest and end at the newly relocated finish line at Mid-Vail. \nGondola One in Vail Village\, which accesses Mid-Vail\, is open for spectators to ride to the top for FREE from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. All friends and family who are going to spectate will need to pick up a free voucher for gondola access good for that morning only at bib pick up the day before the race or on race morning at registration.  Failure to load the gondola by 7:30 a.m. will forfit access to Mid-Vail without paying a daily scenic ride ticket for $34. Dogs or other pets are not permitted to load the gondola. Post-race\, the gondola will be free for racers and spectators to download to Vail Village. \nThe Dynafit HillClimb is presented by the Vail Mountain Haus and is the third race of the 2019 Vail Trail Running Series.
