DESCRIPTION:Cycling Australia (CA) is pleased to announce the National Junior Racing Series will launch via the online cycling platform RGT Cycling from 17 May. \nDue to Federal and State and Territory Government restrictions that remain in place across the country due to the COVID-19 Pandemic no junior racing or training is currently being conducted. \nThe 2020 Cycling Australia Junior National Racing Series will be open to Cycling Australia and Cycling New Zealand Junior Race Members and will feature four races where individual riders will be able to compete in their own category against junior riders across the country.  Riders will race directly against athletes in their category. \nSunday 7 June – 11.00 am (AEST): Pienza \n“While our outdoor racing is on hiatus as we do our part to flatten the curve\, we are pleased to bring this new e-racing series to our members\,” said Cycling Australia General Manager – Sport\, Kipp Kaufmann. \n“It is exciting to provide our junior members with an opportunity to race\, and with the series opened to New Zealand riders\, it should provide some added rivalry.” \n“RGT’s mission is to make cycling better. DESCRIPTION:If you have never been to Riga then running a marathon or half-marathon could be a good reason to visit one of the most beautiful cities on the Baltic Sea coast. Marathon running has a long history in Riga City and after 28 years it has grown to welcome 38 000 runners from 82 countries offering five racing categories\, together with many running festivities throughout the weekend. \nRimi Riga Marathon has been awarded to prestigious IAAF Gold Label thus confirming the high quality and excellent organizational level of the race. \nThe course lies in the very centre of Riga City and all runners can enjoy the charm of the largest city in the Baltic States. DESCRIPTION:The swim course is set for Flowing Lake in TaiTung.\nThe two-lap swim is in a man-made reservoir with easy views for spectators to watch from the shore. The course starts from a pontoon in an anti-clockwise direction with a total of two turn buoys. The average water depth for most of the course is 2.5m. The swim course is in crystal clear water from a natural spring and mild temperatures. \nThe following rules will apply to the swim:\nWetsuit: to be confirmed at race briefing.\nEvent swim cap: compulsory and is provided at registration check-in. \nTransition 1 (T1)\nExiting the swim course at Flowing Lake\, you will need to collect your T1 (swim to bike) bag and proceed to either the men’s or women’s changing tents. Once you have changed into your cycling gear\, please place all of your swim gear in your T1 bag and leave at the collection point. One of the Volunteers will collect your T1 bag which will be placed at your bike. Bikes will be pre-racked (by you) the day before the race in numerical order. Your helmet must be clipped on before unracking your bike\, and you must proceed on foot to exit T1 and head out onto the bike course. \n  \n\nBIKE – 180km​\n\n \n\nThe 180km bike is set on an undulating two-lap course which heads north between the soaring Carp Mountains and spectacular Pacific Ocean coastline.\nThe course heads out of town over ZhongHua bridge and hits the coast shortly after XiaoYeLiu. After which it continues along Taiwan’s beautiful east coast rolling through Doulan and turning around BaWonWon to head back to TaiTung city to then turnaround for a second lap. \nAid Stations\nAid stations on the bike will be approximately 20km apart. These will have bike bottles with sports drink or water in them. Energy bars\, salty snacks and bananas will also be available from specific aid stations. \nDrafting\nIf you are caught drafting you will be penalized and/or disqualified. Please attend the Race Briefing for clarification on our drafting rules. \nTransition 2 (T2)\nOnce you come to the end of the bike\, you must dismount before you enter T2 and walk your bike to your numbered rack. You must once again collect your T2 bag (bike to run) and proceed back to the men’s or women’s change tents to prepare for the run. Once again\, put all of your cycling gear in your T2 bag and leave it at the collection point where our staff will collect it and place it at your bike after the race. \n\n\nRUN – 42.2km​\n\nThe run combines the cultural heart of Taitung city with the beautiful Pipa Lake Park\, the surrounding tranquil rice fields and orchards and vibrant ocean promenade.\nAid Stations\nAid stations will be positioned approximately every 2.5km on the run. The Organizer reserves the right to refuse participants without the required documents from collecting their entry packs. \nFor Participants Who Are Unable To Collect In Person: \nIf you are unable to collect your entitlements in person during the assigned collection days\, you may authorize someone to collect it for you. Your representative will need to produce the following documents in order to collect on your behalf: \n• A copy of the participant’s identification card and confirmation slip for verification. \nYour representative’s particulars will be noted down for record purposes. \nFor Foreign Participants: \nTravelling from overseas for the event?
