A fun\, festive\, family orientated event taking place over a 3km course through the beautiful setting of the Southampton Outdoor Sports. It’s not a race\, it’s a fun run\, jog or walk around the course\, allowing you to be a part of a fantastic Christmas experience as one of hundreds of Santas taking part. It’s the perfect way for you and your family to get active this Christmas. \nThe obstacles are distinctly Christmas themed and include a sledge pull\, a chimney climb and even a present sack carry plus more challenges which will be announced nearer the event. As a family event\, the course can be tackled by children aged 4 upwards but 4-7 year olds must be assisted around by a parent or guardian and under 16 require parental consent. Some of the obstacles will be separated so these little helpers can take on appropriate sized challenges whilst adults can tackle theirs side by side. \nThe event village will be a Christmas hub of activity and include bag drop area\, the start and finish line which includes our festive themed warm zone and who knows\, it may even snow We will even have a Santa’s grotto. We will be charging for parking\, Santa’s grotto and bag drop with all the proceeds going to our nominated charities. \nDistance – 3km

DESCRIPTION:The Revenant is an individual or two person team Ultra Adventure Run. More than 190km & 16\,000m-ish of vertical ascent\, if you navigate it perfectly. The race is at Welcome Rock on Blackmore Station\, straddling the border of Southland and Central Otago. It’s an area rich in the history of the Otago Gold Rush. \nThe course covers a huge variety of terrain from alpine tussock land to Fiordland-like Beech forest. You’ll be hot\, you’ll be cold\, you’ll get wet and have little time to sleep. It could even snow. You may not finish. Miners bashed their way across this unforgiving wilderness in search of gold. Only a very few got rich. Most didn’t. Many never came back. DESCRIPTION:Come along to England and Wales Highest Peak – Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa – for the ultimate hiking challenge. Fantastic for keen hikers looking for a new conquest\, the challenge is to climb up and down Snowdon as many times as you can within 24 hours. Come along for a test of endurance like no other. \n\nSnowdon 24 Challenge route\n\n\n\nThe hiking challenge of all hiking challenges – athletes either individually or as a team must ascend and descend England and Wales highest peak as much as they can in 24 hours. \nThe course begins in Llanberis Village and will take you up the Llanberis path\, which is a 15KM out and back route. The course will take passed the famous Half Way House\, Allt Moses and Clogwyn Bridge. \nThe winner will be those who have completed as climbs as possible and there are three race categories: \nSolo Entry\nPair Relay Entry\nTeam Relay Entry \nThere will be rest areas on site. Always Aim High will be given their own shelter\, Pair Relays will be given space for one shelter between the pair (2 person tent)\, and teams will be given space to pitch a 3 person tent. \nBetween 9 PM and 8 AM\, there will be no music or noise\, while the rest area will be a silent zone for the duration of the 24 hours.

SUMMARY:The Original Grim Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Grim Challenge 2022\nThe GRIM is one of the original muddy/trail/obstacle races with a history that dates back to 2003. After a COVID absence in 2020\, it bounced back strongly in 2021 with more than 1000 runners taking part in the event. It returns in 2022 in much the same format: the route takes you over Army vehicle testing ground in Aldershot with two distance options\, a main race 8-miler and a lighter version over a shorter 4-mile course. \nAlthough the GRIM is a tough trail race in which you will certainly find yourself at times cold\, wet and dirty\, it is not an obstacle race\, it’s a running event. We don’t build any ramps\, walls or swings on the course. All the obstacles are natural\, formed by tanks driving over the route or by incessant rain in the weeks leading up to the event. Of course\, at this stage\, we can’t guarantee the rain but it’s never let us down before! In a few places\, you will be crawling under cargo nets or wading though waist-high water. The distance may not sound daunting but don’t take this lightly\, on a cold December morning\, the GRIM is a challenge and you will think it aptly named when you have run it. \nWe also have a new charity partner… Combat Stress. \nCombat Stress is the UK’s leading charity for veterans’ mental health. For over a century\, it has helped former servicemen and women with mental health problems such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)\, anxiety and depression. Today it provides specialist treatment and support for veterans from every service and conflict\, focusing on those with complex mental health issues. \nThe work it does is life-changing and often life-saving. We are delighted to be working and supporting the work Combat Stress at the GRIM Challenge.
