SUMMARY:13th Dartford Bridge 10k 24th September 2023
DESCRIPTION:Race day information for the 10th Bridge 10k.\n\n\n\nThank you for entering this year’s Dartford Bridge 10k. I really can’t believe it’s our 12th Anniversary race. \n\n\n\nParking will be in the Crosswater Lake View House\, Rennie Drive\, Dartford\, Kent\, DA1 5FU. There will be signs directing you to the race start. Please don’t leave any rubbish behind. They do have security cameras on site. \n\n\n\nRegistration is about 400m from the car park.  Keep off the fast track at all times\, as the buses are still using the road. Registration will open at 8:00 a.m.\, and we will start the run at 9:30 a.m. \n\n\n\nWe have real toilets and showers on site\, which are about 200m away next to the security office.  Please car share if you can as we have limited parking spaces. There will be bike racking next to registration for anyone cycling there. There will be a bag drop area to the left of the registration. We will have a tea wagon on site this year next to registration. There will be a short race brief over the PA\, but all you really need to know is the race brief. \n\n\n\nThe run course will be two laps around both lakes. We now feel it’s not safe to cross the road by the roundabout. The course gets checked every year and is 100% a 10k. Please don’t wear headphones. You will be crossing the FastTrack bus lane\, and you must listen to any instruction given to you by the marshals. \n\n\n\nThere will be a water station as you start the second lap and at the finish. The race is chipped-timed\, and we will be giving out trophies to the following winners. \n\n\n\n\n1st 2nd 3rd Overall Female / Male overall\n\n\n\n1st 2nd 3rd 40 + Female / Male\n\n\n\n1st 2nd 3rd 50 + Female / Male\n\n\n\n1st 2nd 3rd 60 + Female / Male\n\n\n\n1st 70 + Male\n\n\n\n\nOnce again\, Please keep off the fast track at all times\, as the buses are still using the road. We get told off by the bus company.\n\n\n\nFun run-only information \n\n\n\nThe Children’s Fun run will start at 11:00 a.m. You can enter this on the day. All children will also receive a bespoke finishing Medal.  The run will take you once around the South Lake. The entry fee for the fun run is £3\, and this year\, we are raising money for the foodbank in Dartford. \n\n\n\nIt finally happened – We are now on Instagram. Please follow us @bridgeeventsdartford. If you have any questions about The Bridge 10k\, please get in touch info@bridgetriathlon.co.uk.

SUMMARY:Bacchus Wine Half Marathon &10KM
DESCRIPTION:Date: Sunday 10th September 2023 \n\n\n\nSet in stunning surroundings of the North Downs\, Bacchus has rapidly become one of the must-do events on the UK running calendar.  Most of the field turns out in fancy dress\, and bands and other musical entertainment are around the course. Still\, the drinks stations on the route separate Bacchus from other running races and epitomizes the event’s spirit. \n\n\n\nYou will have the chance to sample six fabulous award-winning English wines at five drinks stations along the course (you visit one station twice\, going out and coming back) with food and soft drinks to accompany them. If you are running 10K\, you’ll visit two of the wine stations. More food\, drink\, and music are waiting for you at the finish at the post-race hog roast\, where the party carries on long into the evening. \n\n\n\nUnfortunately\, there will be no Marathon in 2023. As numbers in the full Marathon distance start to dwindle we felt we could no longer fully support the marathon runners without compromising the Half Marathon or 10K. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nSTART WAVES \n\n\n\nThere will be eleven start waves\, the first seven for the Half Marathon runners starting at 9:30 am. Subsequent waves will be set off in 10-minute intervals. There will be three 10K start waves starting at 10:40 am. You will need to pre-select your wave to be sure of starting with your friends. The children’s fun run has one start wave at 11:05 am.  \n\n\n\n09:30am                400 HALF MARATHON RUNNERS \n\n\n\n09:40am                400 HALF MARATHON RUNNERS \n\n\n\n09:50am                400 HALF MARATHON RUNNERS \n\n\n\n10:00am                400 HALF MARATHON RUNNERS \n\n\n\n10:10am                400 HALF MARATHON RUNNERS \n\n\n\n10:20am                400 HALF MARATHON RUNNERS  \n\n\n\n10:30am                400 HALF MARATHON RUNNERS \n\n\n\n10:40am                10K RUNNERS \n\n\n\n10:50am                10K RUNNERS \n\n\n\n11:00am                10K RUNNERS \n\n\n\n11:05am                FUN RUN \n\n\n\nTOILETS \n\n\n\nFor 2023\, as well as ample toilets in the car park and behind the main building at the start/finish area\, we will have portable toilets on the route at two different locations. \n\n\n\nBAGGAGE \n\n\n\nA secure baggage area is behind the main marquee to the right of Denbies’ main building. You will be asked to approach the start by walking through the marquee and will therefore pass the baggage area on your way to the start. After finishing\, reverse your direction and pass the baggage again before entering the marquee\, which hosts the post-race hog roast.  \n\n\n\nMUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT \n\n\n\nThere will be bands or musical entertainment at each of the drinks stations and at other sections of the course. A DJ will also be playing at The Hog Roast in the finish area.  \n\n\n\nHEADPHONE POLICY \n\n\n\nAs we are not running on any public highways (although there is one road to cross in two places)\, we allow headphones to be used. Still\, it is your responsibility to make sure you listen to any instructions from marshals\, and you wear headphones entirely at your own risk.

SUMMARY:South Downs Trail Half Marathon & 10km\, QE Park Petersfield
DESCRIPTION:The South Downs Trail Half Marathon and accompanying 10K are two of the classic trail runs in the South of England. They both start and finish at QE Country Park and run out to join the South Downs Way on a network of Bridle Paths through beautiful downland and forested countryside.  In 2022 we introduced Canicross waves for the first time. They were a great success\, and they will be returning in 2023 with a Canicross wave starting before the main races and a separate Canicross prize list. \n\n\n\nHalf Marathon\n\n\n\nStarting at Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Petersfield\, the half marathon follows a route through the Country Park\, then across fields to the Village of Chalton before picking up the Sussex Border Path\, bringing you to the South Downs Way. The route then returns\, running west for 4 miles on the South Downs Way back through QE Park to the finish. \n\n\n\nWe are planning to have two wave starts for the half marathon in 2022 to prevent congestion at the stile after 3.5miles and to maintain social distancing before the start: \n\n\n\n\n9:55am       Canicross Wave\n\n\n\n10 am Half-Marathon wave 1\n\n\n\n10.10 am    Half-Marathon wave 2\n\n\n\n10.20 am    10Km\n\n\n\n\nThe half marathon field has wave starts to avoid congestion in the early part of the course\, where there are a couple of narrow sections on the route. The waves will be split on estimated finishing times\, with the faster runners starting first. Prizes for the first three male and female finishers will be awarded to the first three to cross the line\, so if you think you have a chance of winning\, please make sure you start in the first wave. \n\n\n\nTo view the route or download a GPX route to your device\, follow the following link: HALF MARATHON ROUTE PROFILE Contains OS data (c) Crown copyright and database right 2022 \n\n\n\n10K Trail Run\n\n\n\nTaking in the first 2.4 miles of the half marathon route\, the 10K course will divide and run on the Staunton Way up to where it joins the South Downs Trail as it enters QE Park at the Buriton Gate. The route then returns to the finish along the same route as the half marathon (South Downs Way). Essentially the route is a gradual climb up to halfway\, then a downhill return to the finish at the base of Butser Hill. \n\n\n\nTo view the route or download a GPX route to your device\, follow the following link: 10KM ROUTE & PROFILE Contains OS data (c) Crown copyright and database right 2022 \n\n\n\nTime Table \n\n\n\n\n09.55 am: Canicross Wave Start for Half and 10K Start and Queen Elizabeth Country Park\n\n\n\n10.00 am:  Wave 1 Half Marathon Start at Queen Elizabeth Country Park\n\n\n\n10.10 am:  Wave 2 Half Marathon Start at Queen Elizabeth Country Park\n\n\n\n10.20 am:  10km Start at Queen Elizabeth Country Park\n\n\n\n\nPRICES\n\n\n\nHalf Marathon: Up to 30 Apr £32 (£35 Canicross entry) / From 1 May £37 (£40 Canicross entry) \n\n\n\n10km: Up to 30 Apr £22 ((£25 Canicross entry) / From 1 May £27 (£30 Canicross entry) \n\n\n\n(Entry prices include all registration platform fees. SUMMARY:Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 2021
DESCRIPTION:This 10k Winter Run will have participants passing world-famous landmarks as they run through the heart of the city. Great for keeping fit this winter and getting ready for a summer season of running. \n\nCancer Research UK London Winter Run route\n\n\n\nThe 10k run will start in the famous Trafalgar Square\, otherwise known as the Snow Blast-Off Zone\, which will set each runner onto the 10k course with a burst of snow. \nOnce onto the wintry route\, runners will head past Nelson’s Column\, along the Strand past the world-renowned Adelphi Theatre and The Savoy hotel\, before veering towards Holborn. The route will then take them past The Royal Courts of Justice\, where they will shortly come across some of the new winter characters who have been invited to join this year’s event at the Husky High-Five Zone. \nPacing through the City of London and up Chancery Lane\, runners will then pass Chancery Lane Tube Station before continuing to the London Stock Exchange. Onto the medieval Cheapside\, participants will continue down the fast and flat course pass St Mary Le Bow church\, before being greeted by a Swiss Chalet themed Drinks Station at the Guildhall Yard. Setting off for home the runners will loop around the Bank of England\, past the much loved Penguin Party\, where runners will be given a warming boost from the cheering crowds\, led by their Antarctic friends! \nNext up comes Mansion House before taking in the sights of the prestigious St Pauls Cathedral – a fantastic landmark for the runners to soak up the heritage of the course. \nFrom here\, the runners will continue to circle back round to the Royal Courts of Justice for the second time\, before passing Kings College London\, Somerset House and onto Charing Cross Station. Taking a left down Whitehall the adrenaline will rise as they come to a finish just before Westminster and Downing Street. No politicians here though\, just jubilation\, as finishers are greeted by the famous warm Polar Bears for a victory hug and medal presentation.
