The Spring and Autumn races will be run on exactly the same route giving you a chance to compare your times in March and September. Will you improve as the season goes on?! \n\nROUTE INFORMATION\nThe 10km race will start on the beautiful Exmouth Seafront. \nRunners will head up to Orcombe point before looping around the flag pole and heading back along the full length of the beachfront\, and another turning point will be made to bring runners back around to start their second lap. The finish line sees you splitting at the Octogan Icecream shop to hug the beachfront railings to the finish line. \nBreathe in and enjoy the sea air as you go. Spectators will line the seafront to support and cheer you on\, creating an absolutely fantastic atmosphere. \nThe race will be chip timed\, fully marked with fluorescent arrows and well-marshalled. \nCOURSE DETAIL\nThis race will run solely on hard-surfaced footpaths. DESCRIPTION:Dorney Lake Christmas Half Marathon\nSet at the spectacular\, flat\, and smooth-surfaced Dorney Lake near Windsor\, this Christmas Half Marathon event takes you around the perimeter of the iconic water. \nThe legendary Eton Dorney – as Dorney Lake was known during London 2012 – held 30 events throughout the Olympics\, with Team GB taking a total of 12 medals. Soak up the atmosphere and invoke their heroics to inspire you to a new PB! \nThe Dorney Lake course is nestled amongst 450 acres of glorious parkland – including an Arboretum and Nature Conservation area – whilst being just a few miles from Windsor and a short drive from Heathrow airport and West London. \nEvent merchandise is available for purchase during registration for delivery by the following weekend when ordered by Sunday. \nAll of our events are organised following government and governing body COVID-19 guidance. We recommend participants familiarise themselves with the information therein\, specifically sections­­ 5 (Cycling)\, 6 (Running) & 7 (Transition)\, for details on equipment and their expected conduct during the event. The most accurate way to find our car park is using What3Words what3words.com/chuck.kicks.ruffling. \nAwards and Medals\nAll entries will get a finishers medal plus special podium medals & prizes. For the 10K race we also do awards for Vet 40\, Vet 50 & Vet 60 \nFor the kids races there are three categories: Under 8\, Ages 8-9 and Ages 10-11. \nFAQS\nWe recommend trail shoes for all our night runs. You should also wear a hi-viz top or vest so you can be seen on any road sections or crossings. Bring warm clothing to change into afterwards. And of course\, you’ll need a suitable head or chest torch. \nFor our night runs\, you need a suitable headtorch. Chest-mounted torches are also acceptable.

SUMMARY:Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 2021
DESCRIPTION:This 10k Winter Run will have participants passing world-famous landmarks as they run through the heart of the city. Great for keeping fit this winter and getting ready for a summer season of running. \n\nCancer Research UK London Winter Run route\n\n\n\nThe 10k run will start in the famous Trafalgar Square\, otherwise known as the Snow Blast-Off Zone\, which will set each runner onto the 10k course with a burst of snow. \nOnce onto the wintry route\, runners will head past Nelson’s Column\, along the Strand past the world-renowned Adelphi Theatre and The Savoy hotel\, before veering towards Holborn. The route will then take them past The Royal Courts of Justice\, where they will shortly come across some of the new winter characters who have been invited to join this year’s event at the Husky High-Five Zone. \nPacing through the City of London and up Chancery Lane\, runners will then pass Chancery Lane Tube Station before continuing to the London Stock Exchange. Onto the medieval Cheapside\, participants will continue down the fast and flat course pass St Mary Le Bow church\, before being greeted by a Swiss Chalet themed Drinks Station at the Guildhall Yard. Setting off for home the runners will loop around the Bank of England\, past the much loved Penguin Party\, where runners will be given a warming boost from the cheering crowds\, led by their Antarctic friends! \nNext up comes Mansion House before taking in the sights of the prestigious St Pauls Cathedral – a fantastic landmark for the runners to soak up the heritage of the course. \nFrom here\, the runners will continue to circle back round to the Royal Courts of Justice for the second time\, before passing Kings College London\, Somerset House and onto Charing Cross Station. Taking a left down Whitehall the adrenaline will rise as they come to a finish just before Westminster and Downing Street. No politicians here though\, just jubilation\, as finishers are greeted by the famous warm Polar Bears for a victory hug and medal presentation.

All routes offer beautiful views over the Mole Valley\, Ranmore Common and the North Downs\, and runners are welcome to run as quickly as possible or take their time and enjoy the wine sampling stations on the route. \nThe drinks stations are what separates this event from all the others. Not just any old drinks stations\, the last 2 along the route serve wine and food and soft drinks\, and with marathon runners completing 2 laps\, that means double the wine. A preferred start wave will be chosen by runners when registering for the event. \nThe 10k has two waves starting at 11 am and 11:15 am. \nCut-off Times \nThere are a strict 2 hours 50-minute cut-off time for the first lap of the Marathon\, and all runners must be able to run a 5 hr 30 mins time. Any runners unable to complete the first lap in this time will be asked to stop and given a Half Marathon finisher’s medal. \nFancy Dress \nMost participants show up in a fancy dress to participate in this fun and friendly event\, so don your best clothes and enjoy the live music and entertainment around the course. \nT-Shirt Sizes \nT-shirts are included in the price of entry for Marathon and Half Marathon runners but not 10k runners. Although runners may encounter some mud\, most of the courses will be run on well-drained\, sandy soil\, allowing runners to enjoy their running on flat and reliable surfaces. All the races will occur in the dark\, creating a wonderful and unique experience for all competitors. The courses will all be well marked with poles\, arrows and flashing lights. \nKids 1k and 2k \nBoth races will take part exclusively within the grounds of Bicton College. \n5k \nThe 5k route is new for 2022\, and although 3k of this race will take place on the tarmac\, it is on tranquil country lanes where there will be little to no traffic. The race will be a combination of these on-road sections and a few grand and varied off-road areas. \n10k \nThe 10k has the same start and finish as the 5k\, with the extra distance coming from a complete loop of Woodbury Common\, which includes a fun single track section.
