SUMMARY:Dormouse Challenge
DESCRIPTION:What’s a 6 hour event?\nIt is an event that enables all abilities of runner to run together (or hike/walk!). Ultimately you can run as many 5k laps as you wish in the time limit. You can run one lap in 20 minutes\, pick up your medal and Big Bear drink and go home! Alternatively you can head out on your 15th lap at 14:55 and finish in 6:30 having covered over 50 miles! It’s completely up to you. \nThere is no pressure from us\, but we’ll also see if you want one more lap! The format is great for people looking to run further than they’ve ever done before\, do a long training run for future events or to enjoy a sociable event with your friends. \nWhere is it?\nSalcey Forest is a Forestry England site with a café and toilets near Northampton. Use the post code NN7 2HX for Sat Navs . It is here  on What 3 Words. \nYou do have to pay to park (we’ve negotiated a special offer of £3.50 for the day! We’ll send emails out to entrants to make this happen).  That said\, be a hero and car share\, save money and the world! \nThe number 33 bus stops inside Salcey Forest (just after 9am) and goes between Northampton and Milton Keynes. \nIt is 18 minutes from Northampton and 9 minutes from Junction 15 of the M1. The closest train station is Northampton. \nHow far is the race?\nYou decide! The 3.5-mile off-road loop means your race can be 5k or even over 80K and anywhere in between. You decide how many laps you’re going to do on the day within the 6-hour time limit. If you’re looking to cover a marathon distance you’ll need to complete 7 laps (+ a little out and back) and a half marathon will be 4 laps (and a little long at 14 miles!). \nCourse description:\nThe route is along well maintained pathways. There isn’t a meter of asphalt and the pathways are mainly crushed stone or very well trodden open forest floor. Obviously being in the middle of a forest the narrower ones are covered in tree detritus and can become a bit muddy and grimy\, especially when wet. SUMMARY:The Rubber Duck Dash
DESCRIPTION:About The Event\nDue to the success of our Rebellious Rubber Ducky Run in 2025 we are holding our second event inspired by the adorable bath toys! At this event\, not only will you earn a super cute rubber duck themed medal but also\, your very own rubber ducky to take home with you!! \nDate & time: Saturday 21st of February 2026\nOfficial start time: 9am \nLocation: The Last Hop\, Unit 2\, Thames Edge Court\, Clarence Street\, Staines\, TW18 4SU \nThe £23.00 entry price is available only to members. You can become a member by logging into your profile and purchasing one of the membership schemes. As well as the cheapest entry price\, a member is guaranteed entry to the run and gets a mini-me medal pin at every event they attend! \nDistance & Time\nThis is a 7 hour Time Challenge event which allows you full control over the distance you want to run. The minimum distance is 3km\, which is part of a lap. A full lap is 4.37 miles or 7km (this is subject to change to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions) and you can run as many\, or as few\, of these laps as you like subject to UK athletics age restrictions (please see the restrictions below). We will have a 3k turn point and 5k turn point within the lap which is available to allow our younger runners to comply with the UK Athletics distance rules. It is 3 laps for a half marathon\, 6 for a marathon and 7 or over for an ultra\, we also have a 50km distance available. \nCourse\nThe course along a beautiful stretch of the River Thames. It is fully signed so no navigational experience is required. The course is mainly well made paths and tarmac with a very short grass section. Road shoes are suitable all year round. \nAll abilities are welcome at our super-inclusive events and we also welcome walkers too. \nSpecial Event\nIf our event is a special event for you\, for instance your 50th\, 99th\, 100th\, 150th\, 200th\, 250th etc. marathon or half marathon then please let us know. We will provide you with a great number with your name and the event date on it. \nVenue Facilities\nToilets are available at the start/finish area inside the venue HQ. There are changing facilities available at the venue. These facilities will be open from 8am and will be available for use throughout the entire event. \nOther Information\nThere will be somewhere to leave a bag at the start / finish area.
