DESCRIPTION:About The Event\nDue to the success of our Rebellious Rubber Ducky Run in 2025 we are holding our second event inspired by the adorable bath toys! At this event\, not only will you earn a super cute rubber duck themed medal but also\, your very own rubber ducky to take home with you!! \nDate & time: Saturday 21st of February 2026\nOfficial start time: 9am \nLocation: The Last Hop\, Unit 2\, Thames Edge Court\, Clarence Street\, Staines\, TW18 4SU \nThe £23.00 entry price is available only to members. You can become a member by logging into your profile and purchasing one of the membership schemes. As well as the cheapest entry price\, a member is guaranteed entry to the run and gets a mini-me medal pin at every event they attend! \nDistance & Time\nThis is a 7 hour Time Challenge event which allows you full control over the distance you want to run. The minimum distance is 3km\, which is part of a lap. A full lap is 4.37 miles or 7km (this is subject to change to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions) and you can run as many\, or as few\, of these laps as you like subject to UK athletics age restrictions (please see the restrictions below). We will have a 3k turn point and 5k turn point within the lap which is available to allow our younger runners to comply with the UK Athletics distance rules. It is 3 laps for a half marathon\, 6 for a marathon and 7 or over for an ultra\, we also have a 50km distance available. \nCourse\nThe course along a beautiful stretch of the River Thames. It is fully signed so no navigational experience is required. The course is mainly well made paths and tarmac with a very short grass section. Road shoes are suitable all year round. \nAll abilities are welcome at our super-inclusive events and we also welcome walkers too. \nSpecial Event\nIf our event is a special event for you\, for instance your 50th\, 99th\, 100th\, 150th\, 200th\, 250th etc. marathon or half marathon then please let us know. We will provide you with a great number with your name and the event date on it. \nVenue Facilities\nToilets are available at the start/finish area inside the venue HQ. There are changing facilities available at the venue. These facilities will be open from 8am and will be available for use throughout the entire event. \nOther Information\nThere will be somewhere to leave a bag at the start / finish area. DESCRIPTION:What’s a 6 hour event?\nIt is an event that enables all abilities of runner to run together (or hike/walk!). Ultimately you can run as many 5k laps as you wish in the time limit. You can run one lap in 20 minutes\, pick up your medal and Big Bear drink and go home! Alternatively you can head out on your 15th lap at 14:55 and finish in 6:30 having covered over 50 miles! It’s completely up to you. \nThere is no pressure from us\, but we’ll also see if you want one more lap! The format is great for people looking to run further than they’ve ever done before\, do a long training run for future events or to enjoy a sociable event with your friends. \nWhere is it?\nSalcey Forest is a Forestry England site with a café and toilets near Northampton. Use the post code NN7 2HX for Sat Navs . It is here  on What 3 Words. \nYou do have to pay to park (we’ve negotiated a special offer of £3.50 for the day! We’ll send emails out to entrants to make this happen).  That said\, be a hero and car share\, save money and the world! \nThe number 33 bus stops inside Salcey Forest (just after 9am) and goes between Northampton and Milton Keynes. \nIt is 18 minutes from Northampton and 9 minutes from Junction 15 of the M1. The closest train station is Northampton. \nHow far is the race?\nYou decide! The 3.5-mile off-road loop means your race can be 5k or even over 80K and anywhere in between. You decide how many laps you’re going to do on the day within the 6-hour time limit. If you’re looking to cover a marathon distance you’ll need to complete 7 laps (+ a little out and back) and a half marathon will be 4 laps (and a little long at 14 miles!). \nCourse description:\nThe route is along well maintained pathways. There isn’t a meter of asphalt and the pathways are mainly crushed stone or very well trodden open forest floor. Obviously being in the middle of a forest the narrower ones are covered in tree detritus and can become a bit muddy and grimy\, especially when wet. SUMMARY:Run The Grim Reaper 2025
DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to announce that The Grim Reaper is back at the stunning Grimsthorpe Castle Estate in South Lincolnshire on May 24 & 25\, 2025. Runners have the option of four solo distances – 10\, 40\, 70 & 100 miles – plus 40-mile and 100-mile team relay options. There will be two 10-mile races\, one in the morning and a night version. \n\n\n\nExpect a mix of estate roads\, limestone tracks and grass trails. Trail shoes are recommended\, especially in damp/wet conditions. \n\n\n\nThe new direction for the Grim Reaper\n\n\n\nThe Grim Reaper was relaunched in 2023 by Steve Cole & Laura Bailey\, runners local to the Grimsthorpe Estate who compete in races of distances from 10km up to 100 miles. Their plan was to create an event that catered for runners of all abilities in a stunning location with a friendly\, supportive vibe. It’s fair to say that the 260+ runners in 2023 feel they achieved that goal\, judging by the 4.8* (out of 5) rating on Letsdothis.com. \n\n\n\nLocated at the beautiful Grimsthorpe Castle\n\n\n\nThe route is a 10-mile loop that covers beautiful grass trails through ancient woodland\, limestone tracks\, quiet estate roads and a stretch along a disused Victorian railway line. It also skirts around the picturesque estate lake before reaching the start/finish point in front of the castle itself. \n\n\n\nWe class this as an ‘undulating’ trail course with no major hills to contend with\, making it ideal for those new to ultra-running\, looking to take the next step to a longer distance or aiming for a PB. The course will be fully marked. \n\n\n\nRoute / Aid Stations\n\n\n\nThe 10-mile loop around the stunning Grimsthorpe Castle Estate includes a mix of grass trails through ancient woodland\, quiet estate roads\, limestone tracks and even a disused Victorian railway line. You also skirt around the beautiful Grimsthorpe lake before reaching the start/finish point in front of the Castle itself. \n\n\n\nMedics\n\n\n\nThere will be fully qualified medics onsite throughout the event. \n\n\n\nAid Stations\n\n\n\nIf you are running one of the ultra-distances\, you are expected to be self-sufficient and manage your own supplies. You are encouraged to bring your own tent/shelter\, which can be left close to the start/finish point. There will be an Aid Station at mile 5 stocked with limited snacks & water. You are free to walk the whole course to cheer on competitors. There will be food and drink available to purchase. \n\n\n\nPacers (70 & 100 mile runners only)\n\n\n\nPermitted from mile 50 and on foot only. Only one pacer per runner at any one time. \n\n\n\nCrew\n\n\n\nWhilst you are welcome to walk the whole course\, a crew point is only permitted at the start/finish location. Anyone found breaking this rule will be disqualified. \n\n\n\nRules\n\n\n\nCut-Off Time\n\n\n\nThe 70 and 100-mile races have a strict cut off time of 28-hours. The 40-mile race has a strict cut off time of 27 hours. \n\n\n\nMandatory Kit List: 40\, 70 & 100 Mile solo races only\n\n\n\nA kit check will be carried out upon registration. \n\n\n\n\nFully charged mobile phone\, including the numbers for the Race Medic and Race Directors. Both numbers will be supplied to you prior to the race.\n\n\n\nSurvival blanket (1.4m x 2m minimum).\n\n\n\nHeadtorch/primary light source – minimum of 75 lumens (from 6pm).\n\n\n\nBack-up light source (from 6pm)..\n\n\n\nLong sleeved baselayer\, separate to what you are wearing at the start\n\n\n\nWaterproof jacket\n\n\n\nWater bladder/vest/bottle capable of carrying a minimum of 1 litre of water.\n\n\n\nWe are operating a cupless race so you must bring a cup with you. These will be available to purchase on the day.\n\n\n\n\nThere will be a well-stocked running shop on site should you forget anything. \n\n\n\nMandatory Kit List (10-mile night race only)\n\n\n\nHeadtorch or chest torch (for 10-mile night and team runners starting a lap after 6pm). \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nExtra Info\n\n\n\nWithdrawals\n\n\n\nIf you need to withdraw for any reason\, unfortunately we are unable to offer a refund. However\, you can defer your place to 2025 up to 4-weeks prior to the race (April 27). After this our race day costs\, which are based on numbers\, have been incurred. \n\n\n\nIf you would like to transfer your place to another runner\, please email hello@bogdogrunning.co.uk with the runner’s name\, address\, date of birth\, gender and any medical information. Transfers after May 3 will incur a £5 admin fee. \n\n\n\nQualification Standard\n\n\n\nWhilst there is no official qualification standard\, we suggest the following: \n\n\n\n40-mile runners: Comfortable running 15 to 20-mile distances regularly. \n\n\n\n70-mile runners: Comfortable running marathon to 50km distances regularly. There is a very generous cut-off limit so those walking still have a good chance of finishing. \n\n\n\n100-mile runners: Have completed at least a 50-mile distance within a year of the event\, with a finish time of at least 13-hours. \n\n\n\nEntries\n\n\n\nYou cannot change the distance you have selected upon entry. If you enter the 100-mile race and decide to drop out at mile 70\, you are classed as a DNF. Likewise\, if you enter the 70-mile race\, finish this distance and feel good enough to attempt the 100\, you cannot upgrade to this distance. \n\n\n\nRules\n\n\n\n\nRunners must follow the marked course at all times. DESCRIPTION:What is TrailFest?\n\n\n\nIt’s a day of moving around wonderful woodland for all abilities\, speeds and experiences. Whether you’re an experienced ultra runner keen to get an early season 50 km in or a newbie trail runner looking to do their first 10K TrailFest is for you! \n\n\n\nWe’ve got 4 distances for you to choose from 10K\, half marathon\, marathon and 50 km. A distance to suit everyone! \n\n\n\nThe idea of the day is to bring everyone together and to experience the fun of trail running in a fantastic forest. Being around others doing what seems impossible can often make it seem a lot more possible\, too!! If you want to come and run your personal best or bimble about with your mates\, we’ve got the perfect distance for you. \n\n\n\nWe’ve got very generous cut-off times\, too\, to try and remove some of those barriers to new people trying out the sport. \n\n\n\nWhere is it?\n\n\n\nSalcey Forest is a Forestry England site with a café and toilets near Northampton. Use the post code NN7 2HX for Sat Navs . It is here on What 3 Words. \n\n\n\nYou do have to pay to park (between £4-£8 at the time of writing). That said\, be a hero and car share\, save money and the world! \n\n\n\nThe number 33 bus stops inside Salcey Forest (just after 9am) and goes between Northampton and Milton Keynes (check for Sunday times) \n\n\n\nIt is 18 minutes from Northampton and 9 minutes from Junction 15 of the M1. The closest train station is Northampton. \n\n\n\nCan I run with my dog?\n\n\n\nNot at these events. As the event is run under a UK Athletics/ Trail Running Association license there are no dogs allowed at any of the events. \n\n\n\nCourse description\n\n\n\nThe different routes are all on the specific event pages; however\, they all use similar sections of the forest. \n\n\n\nThe majority of the routes are along well-maintained pathways. There isn’t a meter of asphalt (except 2 road crossings for the longer events!)\, and the pathways are mainly crushed stone or very well-trodden open forest floor. Obviously\, being in the middle of a forest\, the narrower ones are covered in tree detritus and can become a bit muddy and grimy\, especially when wet. There are a few sections across the grassland. If we are experiencing a wet winter\, expect these to be muddy or waterlogged. Potentially very muddy and very waterlogged! \n\n\n\nPlan to do this event in trail shoes\, if it’s suitable for road shoes we’ve had a dry winter! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat does it cost?\n\n\n\nWe operate a tiered pricing approach. You can have crew\, they’re really helpful for more extended events but you cannot have pacers. To be clear\, that means no-one can run with you or walk alongside you for any period of time except in the final 100m. \n\n\n\nWe actively encourage spectators and supporters\, but they must not move along the trail with you. They can pop up all over the course though – or just stay in the cafe all day”! \n\n\n\nThere is a large grass area near the HQ that can be used to put a gazebo up if your team\, club\, or supporters wish to. Just let us know beforehand if you plan to do this. \n\n\n\nAre there cut-offs?\n\n\n\nYes\, but they’re pretty generous! The cut-off for the event is 19:00. So for the 50 km event\, that means an 11-hour cut-off – 21min/mile pace. All other events have the same 19:00 cut-off – so that’s 10 hours to do the 10k! \n\n\n\nOur cut off’s aren’t mean to be punitive\, we just have to let volunteers and medics when they can go home! In the last 3 years\, only 1 person has been within 1 hour of an 11-hour cut-off on this course\, and they had about 30 minutes to spare. \n\n\n\nI’ve heard you do cupless events.\n\n\n\nThat’s right! Read all about how we do cupless events here \n\n\n\nIs there a mandatory kit?\n\n\n\nThis is different for different distances and strictly enforced for each piece of mandatory kit missing 1 hour will be added to your finish time. For 10k entrants\, there is no mandatory kit\, although a cup/bottle for water is strongly recommended. There are NO CUPS at this event. If you don’t carry a cup you cannot drink water! Half marathon entrants a cup/bottle capable of holding 200ml minimum is mandatory. Marathon & 50k entrants must have water carry capacity for 500ml minimum\, foil blanket\, waterproof jacket (with taped seams) and a charged mobile phone. These are mandatory minimum’s if you want to carry more or extra kit then please do so\, this is to make you safe not to make you run to your best ability. \n\n\n\nWhat if I need to withdraw?\n\n\n\nIt happens. Injuries\, life events… forgetting you’ve booked it! You can see our specific withdrawal policy for the TrailFest events here. They are a little different to our other events but still much better than most other events companies. I think they are fairer than most\, and as such\, they will be adhered to. \n\n\n\nHas the event been run before?\n\n\n\nYes! We’ve run at Salcey Forest many times in the past at TrailFest ran with great success last year for the first time too. You can read the reviews here \n\n\n\nI’m unsure what to expect at TrailFest?\n\n\n\nIt’s a great day of trail running in the forest. The format means it’s great for clubs and groups to support people doing varying distances\, and the generous cut-offs mean it’s great for those looking to increase their distances. Whatever your experience or ability we’ll do everything we can to support you for the day. \n\n\n\nWe’ve tried to make as much video content as possible so you can see what our events are like. Have a look at our YouTube channel. The key is that these events are for everyone. There is no such thing as too slow! \n\n\n\nWhat do I get when I finish?\n\n\n\nAll finishers will get one of the above medals. In addition\, finishers of the marathon and 50k distance will get a flapjack and a choice of Big Bear drink\, too. \n\n\n\nIs there a gpx of the route?\n\n\n\nThe routes can be found at the bottom of the page\, you can click on them to download the gpx. To be clear\, the course will be heavily marked on the day\, so the gpx files should only be necessary as a backup. \n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:The Chepstow Steeplechase is a super fun day out\, all about climbs\, crawls\, water and mud! These events are for everyone. You don’t need to be fit to take part. DESCRIPTION:Continuing the ‘PHOENIX Fridays’ – a series of Friday running events with flexible ‘rock up and run’ start times to suit you\, here’s our ‘Pyjama Friday’ – Thank Phoenix\, it’s Friday!. \n\n\n\nThese events are a little smaller than our weekend events\, and the entry fee is a little less than our standard themed entry\, but with no compromise on our legendary medals. We’ll have a selection of our usual big\, bold\, bright and epic bling for you to choose from at each of the PHOENIX Fridays\, and if there’s a specific medal you’ve been after for a while or one you missed out on from one of our previous events then just drop us an email\, and we’ll see if we can bring that one along for you. \n\n\n\nThe PHOENIX Fridays are a series of our timed events where you choose – from 5km to 10k\, half to marathon to ultra. You can complete as many\, or as few\, laps as you like of a 5.3km\, 3.28 mile\, out and back\, course along the beautiful river Thames. We welcome all abilities of runners – complete one lap\, and you’re both a finisher and a winner in our eyes or keep going and see how far you can get in the full time limit and everyone gets a fabulous bespoke finishers’ medal from our awesome selection. \n\n\n\nNot sure? Well\, the beauty of this format is that you don’t even need to decide in advance � simply come and run a lap and see how you feel on the day and keep on going if it feels right. \n\n\n\nPlaces will be strictly limited\, so don’t leave it too late to enter. \n\n\n\nMinimum distance is 3.28 miles or as far as you can go in 7 hours. Off the road trail\, the terrain is a riverside towpath. The overall course has no elevation gain/loss making this a flat and fast route. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe provide a physical running service and by entering our events\, you are purchasing an actual run\, either by attending our events or by running the event virtually yourself. All participants in our events\, both attended and virtual\, will receive a free giveaway medal/memento from your run.

SUMMARY:Farnborough Winter Half Marathon & 5K
DESCRIPTION:Entry for the 2024 Farnborough Winter Half Marathon will open on March 1. There is a limit of 2500 entries in the event. \n\n\n\nEntries sold out in November 2022 for 2023\, so enter early to guarantee your place in the field. \n\n\n\nIn 2023\, the Farnborough Winter Half Marathon once again took place on its traditional date at the end of January. After a brief sojourn as a summer Half in 2021 we really enjoy returning to a winter event permanently again. For those who remember the icy chill conditions of the inaugural event in 2017 or the snow of 2018\, the weather in 2023 was just as cold! There were some phenomenal times\, at the front and all the way down the field: there were four runners (in 2022) under 65 minutes – all inside the old course record – and nearly 200 inside 90 minutes. This year’s race was no different with more extremely fast times across the board! \n\n\n\nFarnborough is generally the first major half marathon of the season so the weather will always be a roll of the dice in January\, but now we know just how fast the route is\, we expect it to be even more popular than usual. The 2024 race is confirmed as a qualifying race for the England Athletics Masters Programme\, giving Masters Athletes an opportunity to earn their England Age Group Masters vest. See here for more details. \n\n\n\nFor those of you not familiar with the route\, it is a fast\, largely flat\, traffic-free course\, starting and finishing at the historic Airship Hangar adjacent to Farnborough Airport. It is the same route as the previous three editions\, taking in a delightful semi-rural circuit which broadly circles Farnborough airport in an anti-clockwise direction. \n\n\n\nFrom its inception in 2017\, the event has been very popular with local runners and those from further afield looking for an early race to test their winter fitness. The main race is limited to 2500 runners and generally sells out early so don’t delay if you are thinking of running. Entries will be closed when we have reached our limit. Since it helps with our planning we incentivize you to enter early: \n\n\n\nSuper Early Bird \n\n\n\nFirst 500 entries (or up to May 31\, 2023\, at the latest) UKA Affiliated £28 Non-Affiliated £30 \n\n\n\nEarly Bird  \n\n\n\nNext 1000 entries (or up to September 30\, 2023\, at the latest) UKA Affiliated £33 Non-Affiliated £35 \n\n\n\nStandard Entry \n\n\n\nUntil the event reaches its limit of 2500 entries UKA Affiliated £38 Non Affiliated £40 \n\n\n\nAs in 2024\, the event will also incorporate a 5K\, which uses part of the same route\, starting 20 minutes after the half marathon. SUMMARY:Denbies Santa Run 2022
DESCRIPTION:It’s never too early to start thinking about Christmas and slipping into that red and white suit for a little festive fun and exercise at the Denbies Santa Run 2022. This will be the fifth time we’ve organised the event at Denbies and it’s been popular since day one. \nWe are already looking forward to the spectacle of hundreds of red-suited\, bearded Santas weaving in and out of the vines. If you are worried that you might not have the right outfit for the event\, worry not because we provide the suits as part of the entry fee. It’s one size to fit all\, although there is also a children’s size suitable for kids under 10. If you have your own suit\, you are welcome to wear it and you can certainly add embellishment to the ones we provide. \nThe event is very much a Christmas Fun Run. It isn’t timed and while there are medals and numbers there are no prizes for being first across the line. The numbers are there to identify yourself in the post-race photos because strangely it’s hard to pick out one Santa from another behind the white beards. Free digital downloads of your post-race photos are included in the entry fee. What is also included in the entry fee is a post-run cup of mulled wine and a mince pie (with soft drink options for children). \nThe run is two laps of a 2.5K route which broadly follows a circular route out and around Denbies main building taking in parts of the North Downs Way on a mixed track of concrete\, dirt trails and grass. If you are worried your children won’t manage the full 5K you can do one lap and still earn the medal\, mulled wine and mince pie. The route may be a bit muddy under foot as parts of it are on the North Downs Way through a wooded seciton but is suitable for running buggies/ strollers. \nVenue: Denbies Wine Estate\, Dorking \nStart time: 10:30 am \nEntries close: Thursday 8th December or when the race reaches capacity. \nEntry Fee: Adults £27 / Children under 15 £15 \nEntry fee includes: \n– Santa suit\n– Finishers Medal\n– Mulled Wine or soft drink\n– Mince Pie\n– Free Parking\n– Free race photos \n   \n

You should also wear a hi-viz top or vest so you can be seen on any road sections or crossings. Bring warm clothing to change into afterwards. Come to the Kempton Park Running Festival for the chance to clock a PB or for the delicious post-race flapjack. \n\nRunning at Kempton Park is back with the option of a 5k\, 10k\, Half and Full Marathon at the famous Kempton Park Racecourse!\n Quicksilver Running and RUNFEST EVENTS organised a new series of races within the flat Kempton Park Racecourse grounds. All distances are officially measured. We have four distances comprising 5k\, 10k and a half & full marathon. Every distance is on fully closed roads and paths. All races start and finish outside the famous racecourse finish line grandstand\, so the music and atmosphere will be electric. The pleasant open aspect promises to deliver fast times and a fun event against a scenic backdrop. Run under licence from UK Athletics; the event results will be recorded and eligible for inclusion in the Power of 10 Athletes rankings.
