Enjoy live music and entertainment as you run the closed roads of Reading. \nWhere and when\nLocation\nMadejski Stadium\, Junction 11\, M4\, Reading RG2 0FL\, UK\nStart times\n8:30 am Green Park Challenge\n10:15 am Half Marathon \nRoute information\nRunners will be taken around the closed-roads of Reading in this Half Marathon and Green Parks Challenge.\nThe Green Parks Challenge is a short 3k run starting at Longwater Avenue and finishing with a photo finish at Madejski Stadium.\nThe Half Marathon follows closed tarmac roads and will be a great\, flat route around Reading and will enjoy a tour of the city as they race in this atmospheric event. \nWhat’s included\n– Bespoke Finisher’s Medal\n– Bag drop\n– Race Village\n– First aid support\n– Refreshments\n– Massage & physio\n– Wide range of entertainment\n– Pacers\n– T-shirt for Green Challenge runners \nHow to get there\nMadejski Stadium\, Junction 11\, M4\, Reading RG2 0FL\, UK \nShuttle Bus\nThere will be free shuttle buses between Reading Station and the Madejski Stadium from 07:00-14:30\, open to everyone.\nBy Car\nIt is asked that people do not use junction 11 on the M4 to gain access to Reading town centre as this will be affected due to road closures.\nParking\nPlease note\, there will be no parking at Madejski Stadium.\nThere are car parks available for pre-booking\, which will cost £12.50.\nRed Car Park (Not on sale yet) – Located on A33/ Longwater Avenue\, RG2 0QS\, this car park is approx. 2 minutes’ walk to the Race Village. *Please note there is a height restriction of 2.1m. All vehicles must also be parked by 9 am\, and there is no exit before 12:30 pm. They also require you to move your car before 4 pm when the car park is locked.\nYellow Car Park (Not on sale yet) – Located at the wood. (formerly Foster Wheeler)\, Shinfield Park\, Shinfield\, RG2 9FW. There is a free shuttle bus to and from the Race Village. We recommend you park by 8:30 am.\nPink Car Park – The organisers are hoping to offer the usual pink car park. However\, due to circumstances out of their control\, they cannot confirm if this car park will become available. They will make an announcement when they know.\nBy Taxi\nThere is also a Taxis service between the station and the Stadium\, with taxi pick up points at both locations – a fixed price of £10 between these locations. Please note a taxi will take you to other destinations from the Stadium\, this will be charged on the meter. \nEvent day logistics\nFriday\n17:00 – 20:00 Race pack collection opens\nSaturday\n10:00 – 16:00 Race pack collection opens\nSunday\n07:00 Race Village & Helpdesk opens\n08:30 Green Park Challenge starts\n10:15 Half Marathon starts\n15:00 Helpdesk closes\nIt is recommended that entrants arrive approximately 45 minutes before their race to ensure plenty of time to get to the start lines.\nStart Waves\nHalf Marathon\nAll entrants will be issued a colour-coded race number based on the estimated finish time entrants supply when registering for the event. Please start in the wave associated with the colour on your bib.\nGreen Park Challenge\nThe Green Park Challenge will have two waves\, one for participants 11 & over and including the Corporate Challenge Green Park Challenge runners. The second wave will include those U10 and all accompanying adults.\nRace Packs\nRace packs will be available for collection at the Voco Hotel\, Madejski Stadium\, Reading RG2 0FL\, both on the Friday and Saturday before the event.\nIf you have requested your race pack be posted to you\, you should receive it by the following dates:\nEntries made before February – published at the beginning of September\nEntries made after early October – posted the last week in October\nIf your race pack does not arrive by these times\, then please collect a replacement pack from the events Helpdesk\, which will be open on Friday evening and Saturday morning at times listed above.\nInternational runners will need to collect their race pack from the Helpdesk situated in the Race Village. Please bring a copy of your race entry confirmation email as well as a form of ID.\nAge Requirements\nAll entrants must be 17 and older to enter the Half Marathon.\nPacers\nThere will be pacers at the Half Marathon running at 5-minute intervals between 1:20 and 2:30 and are a great way to help you stay on target.\nWater Stations\nWater stations will be positioned at every 3-mile point along the route.\nFancy Dress\nRunners are more than welcome to dress up for the event\, but it is recommended that you test out your outfit first to make sure it’s suitable and comfortable to run in. \nSpectator Info\nEntry into the Stadium is free for spectators\, so definitely come along and cheer on your family and friends.\nThere are no official meeting points for family and friends at the event\, so spectators and runners are encouraged to find a suitable meeting point pre-race. \n \nRace Organiser: Goldline Events \n
