DESCRIPTION:Start the festive period off right with one of these fantastic endurance duathlon and running events. Great for beginners and experienced athletes alike\, the courses loop around Dorney Lake\, home to the 2012 Olympic rowing events. Come for the stunning scenery or for the physical challenge. \nHow to enter:\nTickets are available until Fri Dec 10 2021 \nWhat’s included: \n– Finisher’s medals\n– Chip timed event\n– Refreshment stations\n– Aid stations\n– Marshalled course\n– Prizes for 1st\, 2nd\, 3rd overall Male and Female\, 1st Vet (40+) Male and Female.\n– Free car parking \nRoute description\nRun Routes \nThis is one of the flattest courses in the UK and perfect for those looking to get a PB. \nThe course is a 5km lap around the iconic Dorney Lake. Runners will get to feel like an Olympian as they pass over the Olympic Rings near the finish line. \nHalf Marathon: 4.5 laps\n15k: 3 laps\n10k: 2 laps\n5k: 1 lap \nDuathlon Routes \nFirst Run Course \nThe run will start next to the Main Registration Marquee and will be an out and back course measuring 2.5km.\nThe Super Sprint Duathlon run will be 1 out and back lap\, the Sprint Duathlon run will be 2 out and back laps and the Standard Duathlon run will be 4 out and back laps.\nOnce completed\, competitors will proceed into the RUN IN entrance of the transition area.\nBike Course \nThe course consists of approx. 5km laps up and down the side of the famous lake.\nSuper Sprint Duathlon will complete 2 laps\, the Sprint Duathlon will complete 4 laps and the Standard Duathlon will complete 8 laps.\nPlease note that it is the competitor’s responsibility to count the number of laps they have ridden.\nFinal Run Course \nThe final run course is once again an out and back loop equal to 2.5km.\nThe Super Sprint distance will be 1 lap and the Sprint & the Standard distances will be 2 laps. \nLogistics and schedule\nSchedule \n07:00 Enquiries open \n08:00 Standard Duathlon start \n08:25 Sprint Duathlon start \n08:45 Super Sprint Duathlon start \n11:00 Half Marathon start \n11:30 15k start \n11:45 10k start \n12:15 5k start \nEvent Registration is located by the Main Marquee as you enter the lake on the right-hand side. \n*Please arrive 60 minutes before the start of your race in order to complete the registration process. \nSpectators\nSpectators will not be permitted at this event to help keep participants and staff as safe as possible. \n \n  \n​Race Organiser: f3events \n
