DESCRIPTION:Celebrate fancy wine\, fancy dress\, and plenty of running in this event at Denbies Wine Estate. With a hog-roast\, wine at drinks stations\, and stunning routes along the way\, this is so much more than just a race. Enjoy live music\, great food\, and a fantastic atmosphere at the Surrey Bacchus Marathon. \nRoute description\nThis undulating\, multi-terrain course takes place within and around the stunning Denbies Wine Estate. All routes offer beautiful views over the Mole Valley\, Ranmore Common and the North Downs\, and runners are welcome to run as quickly as possible or take their time and enjoy the wine sampling stations on the route. \nThe drinks stations are what separates this event from all the others. Not just any old drinks stations\, the last 2 along the route serve wine and food and soft drinks\, and with marathon runners completing 2 laps\, that means double the wine. After the race\, enjoy the hog roast\, where the party carries on well into the evening. \nA completely traffic-free course\, all routes start and finish by the main building at Denbies\, and there’s only one crossing of a major road which marshals will direct. \nHalf Marathon runners will complete 1 lap and Marathon runners 2 laps. \nLogistics and schedule\n08:15 Registration opens \n09:30 Marathon starts \n09:45 1st Half Marathon wave starts \n10:00 2nd Half Marathon wave starts \n10:15 3rd Half Marathon wave starts \n10:30 4th Half Marathon wave starts \n10:45 5th Half Marathon wave starts \n11:00 1st 10k wave starts \n11:15 2nd 10k wave starts \nIt is recommended you arrive at least an hour before your start time to give you time to collect your number in the morning. \nRegistration \nRegistration will be open from 8:15 am on race day\, where runners can collect their race numbers. \nRegistration will take place in the large marquee next to the main building of Denbies\, which will also be the site of the Hog Roast after the event. \nStart Waves \nThere are 5 waves of Half Marathon start times of 400 runners each. Waves will start at 9:45 am in 15-minute increments all the way until 10:45 am. A preferred start wave will be chosen by runners when registering for the event. \nThe 10k has two waves starting at 11 am and 11:15 am. \nCut-off Times \nThere are a strict 2 hours 50-minute cut-off time for the first lap of the Marathon\, and all runners must be able to run a 5 hr 30 mins time. Any runners unable to complete the first lap in this time will be asked to stop and given a Half Marathon finisher’s medal. \nFancy Dress \nMost participants show up in a fancy dress to participate in this fun and friendly event\, so don your best clothes and enjoy the live music and entertainment around the course. \nT-Shirt Sizes \nT-shirts are included in the price of entry for Marathon and Half Marathon runners but not 10k runners. DESCRIPTION:You’ll need to bring a head torch for this epic event in Woodbury. There’s something for the whole family with mixed and fun sections on the course and multiple races on offer. So lace up your running shoes and start the year right at the Battle of Woodbury Common 2021. \nHow to enter\nTickets available until Fri Jan 14 2022 \nWhat’s included: \n– Finisher’s medal\n– Chip timing\n– Fully marked course\, including lights\n– Feed station\n– Bottled water for finishers\n– Category prizes \nRoute description\nThe flat and varied routes will take in the lovely surroundings of Woodbury Common and Bicton College. Although runners may encounter some mud\, most of the courses will be run on well-drained\, sandy soil\, allowing runners to enjoy their running on flat and reliable surfaces. All the races will occur in the dark\, creating a wonderful and unique experience for all competitors. The courses will all be well marked with poles\, arrows and flashing lights. \nKids 1k and 2k \nBoth races will take part exclusively within the grounds of Bicton College. \n5k \nThe 5k route is new for 2022\, and although 3k of this race will take place on the tarmac\, it is on tranquil country lanes where there will be little to no traffic. The race will be a combination of these on-road sections and a few grand and varied off-road areas. \n10k \nThe 10k has the same start and finish as the 5k\, with the extra distance coming from a complete loop of Woodbury Common\, which includes a fun single track section. DESCRIPTION:Lisbon Eco Marathon is the only Marathon with its entire course within the city of Lisbon.\nIt positions the Portuguese capital in the calendar of this type of renown races around the world. \nEcology\, Competition and Social Solidarity are the main assumptions of this event. \nIn addition to the “mythical” distance of 42\,195 km\, you may choose running two additional distances\, the Half Marathon and a 12 km race\, thus opening the challenge to all kind of athletes. \nConviviality and good disposition are our main slogans. \nMost of the course is held in the “lungs of the city” – Parque Florestal de Monsanto (Monsanto Forest Park)\, in a way that minimizes the annoyances for the resident population\, due to the reduced need for roadblocks\, and at the same time makes it an event with one of the most iconic courses for the practitioners of this sport. \nIn order to make this event a unique experience\, we gathered the practice of this sport in a party atmosphere in the center of the city. \nThe start line coincides with the departure and arrival of the three distances\, to welcome athletes and their families in a comfortable and fun way. \nAnd it takes place in an iconic boulevard of our charming city – the top of Parque Eduardo VII\, next to the National flag\, which has a privileged view of Lisbon’s main arteries\, river and castle.

It is like stepping into a different world. You will be welcomed by the locals as you run or walk through their villages\, and eat freshly prepared traditional homemade Nepalese cuisine. \nAfter a challenging run/walk there will be a prize giving ceremony followed by a traditional Nepalese party under the stars. This trip is intimate with only 20 participants each time as it is not a commercial run. Skateboards\, roller-skates/rollerblades or similar devices\, are strictly forbidden due to the risk of injury to participants. Be aware we may not have exclusive use of some of the shared paths.\nAll runners will assemble in the advised start area by foot and obey Police and Officials’ directions whilst awaiting the official start.\nTo ensure your safety and that of everyone else in the race\, the use of headphones or any musical device is strongly discouraged. Any use of headphones is a safety hazard since such use may compromise a participant’s ability to hear critical safety and/or directional instructions\, especially instructions that may arise in an emergency situation.\nThere are no prizes for running prams and we request all those pushing running prams not to be competitive\, start from the rear and enjoy the experience. Pushing through runners could lead to injuries.\nDehydration can be potentially lethal\, particularly if you overextend yourself in hot and/or humid conditions. However\, your body can still overheat even if climatic conditions are only moderate. Ensure you drink plenty of water throughout the day prior to the event and drink early in the event before you become thirsty. Stop to walk or at least slow down at drink stations to allow adequate rehydration. DO NOT compete if you have had diarrhoea within 48 hours prior to the event or are suffering from a viral infection or even feeling unwell.\nREMEMBER to also drink plenty of water after the event. If you feel distressed\, disorientated\, dizzy\, or excessively tired\, SLOW down or rest for a while. If you do not improve WITHDRAW.

DESCRIPTION:Welcome to your nightmare at The Hellstone Marathon we bring devilish hills\, heroic views and epic skies of the course\, but we couldn’t resist including a bit of magical woodland and a stone circle along the way.​ \nWe wanted to send you out into the countryside on an adventure but bring you back safely. \n\nWe wanted to make sure that even if its blowing a hooligan in top of those hills and raining\, its also not minus 5 degrees\, hence its in May. \n Hellstone Marathon is a qualifying race for the UTMB® (1 point) \n\n\nThese races will appeal to those who like to race a tough off-road challenge\, but also with the generous cut-off times\, be accessible to those runners who like to enjoy the scenery on the way round. (minimum age limits : 18 to enter the marathon\, 17 to enter the half marathon\, 16 to enter the 10k)\nYou can also run with your dog\, but please see our canicross specific rules before entry. \n\n\n​ \n\n\nHow Long? – Cut offs are 8 hours for the marathon and 4.5 hours for the half (no cut-off for 10k)  \n\n\n​ \n\n\nWhat’s included? – Unique medals for all finishers\, fully signed and supported route\, route maps\, Event Medics\, sweeper runners\, bespoke Trophies for first 3 males and first 3 females in each race\, car parking\, post race refreshment\, male and female changing areas\, option to purchase event t-shirts.
