SUMMARY:eDreams Mitja Marató de Barcelona ( Barcelona Half Marathon)
DESCRIPTION:Barcelona Half Marathon 2019\nThe eDreams Mitja Marató de Barcelona 2019 does not live with its back to solidarity. For this reason\, it encourages sports with values and offers you the possibility of supporting a social cause through the solidarity crowdfunding platform\, migranodearena.org. \nWhat we propose is very simple: add a solidarity challenge to your sport challenge and support the organization you prefer (NGO\, foundation or association). In addition\, for that you will have a compensation: a free solidarity number to participate in the marathon. \nYou can support the cause that interests you most: health and medical research\, social exclusion\, international cooperation\, childhood\, environment\, etc. At migranodearena.org\, there are more than 2.400 non-profit organizations to whom dedicate your marathon. \nTo get one of the free solidarity numbers available\, you must create and lead a crowdfunding campaign in migranodearena.org and gather in a minimum of € 500 among friends\, family and workmates. SUMMARY:The Maritzburg City Marathon 2019
DESCRIPTION:Maritzburg City Marathon\nThe 2019 ‘Maritzburg City Marathon takes place at 5:00am on Sunday 24th February 2019. \nThis race has become the most popular marathon and half marathon combination in KwaZulu-Natal. The race not only has generously achievable cut off times (four hours for 21\,1 km and seven hours for the marathon) but caters equally for runners and walkers. This is an ideal entry level Marathon\, Half Marathon or 10km. \nThe basket of races also includes a 10km race beginning at 9.30am. This is open to runners and walkers and has a generous 2 hour 30 minute limit. \nTo give you something different\, we have added two trail runs. Lynton Kynloch has designed a trail course along the banks of the Umsinduzi River. The trail will offer a 7 km option as well as a 16 km distance. These events will be run on Saturday morning\, 23rd February. \nTHE MARATHON OF CHOICE \nTraditionally\, more Comrades entrants used this race as their qualifier than any other race. Comrades Marathon Qualifying time is 4 hours 50 minutes. The 42.2km is also a Two Oceans Marathon (5 hours) qualifier. \nIn our continuing efforts to improve this event\, the organisers have The Witness as a Media Partner\, and Thirsti handling logistics. With their assistance we are growing the event to include the FUN RUNS along with the usual fare and upgraded entertainment. \nKeep an eye on this web site\, our FaceBook page and the media for the arrival of each piece of good news. \nA whole weekend of running and entertainment festivities. \nBy kind support of LIBERTY MIDLANDS MALL\, EL SOMBRERO SPUR and PINKDRIVE\, we are\, again\, providing a KIDZONE for both Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th February. Here\, your family will be safely entertained whilst you run or enjoy the registration and races. No more excuses! No more feeling left out. No more running on your own in different races. Now both Mum and Dad can enjoy and achieve together and the kids will be there to share your day. \nWhere we lead\, others follow. \nThis is the twenty third running of this event. By popular demand\, we are maintaining the unique double faced medal which will be given to all official finishers who complete any of the distances on offer\, inside the generous cut off times as well as beautiful T-shirts to ALL marathon and half marathon entrants. Early bird 10km entrants will also receive T-shirts as will trail athletes. Postal entries must be sent early enough to arrive in our office by the closing date. This will ensure that we supply sufficient cold water\, Coke and energy drink for all the participants. \nRace enquiries can be made on the Internet at http://www.pmb42.co.za\, e-mail enquiries to rd@pmb42.co.za or by telephoning the race office which will be open\, 9am to noon\, Monday through Friday\, from 29th January to 23rd February 2018. \nRules & Regulations

SUMMARY:Free Triathlon Training in Ipoh Malaysia
DESCRIPTION:Ipoh\, Perak\, Malaysia is going to have two great international athletes leading workshops and training camps for anyone interested in Triathlon.  Swimming Cycling and Running. \n  \nHi Everyone \nBelow is you’ll find the weekly training structure for our group and others that are bound to join. It will help develop us all for our goals moving forward even if your goal is just to be a healthier happier person J \nThese sessions start TOMORROW and I just want to run you through some key points on the plan. \nThe track session is a key session for the week and will develop your run technique and leg speed\, giving you tremendous pace awareness. The first session TOMORROW is an important session where I will test your aerobic capacity (or your run VO2 max)\, this can be done fairly accurately with a simple time trial and will provide paces which will really help each training phase. If you do own a pace watch PLEASE wear it to each session and I will provide you with your paces that we will be using after our simple test tomorrow. We meet at the polo ground run track (around the pond) at 7am sharp for a 1 hour session. \nSwim sessions are less than I would like at just two 1 hour sessions per week\, we should swim more than this and we eventually will\, but please attend these two sessions if possible and use the techniques learnt in your own sessions. Just pay your public entry fee at 8am to access the outside MBI pool\, PLEASE bring Fins\, Paddles\, Pull Buoy and kick board if you have them and if you do not PLEASE purchase them as you will not be able to participate in valuable drills without them! Head to the pool as quickly as possible so we can get in and secure a centre section of the pool in what is a public session. \nKelly’s Castle TT on Tuesday nights is both fun and a very valuable session we will meet at the Sri Maha Mariamman Hindu Temple next to Kellies Castle https://goo.gl/maps/8yAqnVkHmaE2 I have agreed parking here for all our participants\, but please kindly make a donation at the box inside the temple to show our appreciation for accepting us! These sessions WILL build speed and develop your threshold power through the season\, I can give you pointers on this\, but the fun bit is that all results will be entered onto a league table to provide end of year results which will result in prizes and awards for the most improved and fasted riders as well as some fun awards as well! The league table will be updated and published after each Tuesday evening session. \nAll other sessions are group runs or bike rides where there is no specific coaching but we will work as a team and improve together sharing experience and advice. \nYou may notice there is a Junior bike skills session which Dave Spence has kindly agreed to run\, this still needs final agreement but will be a great session for bike development and I have some good ideas I can share with Dave to make it both fun and beneficial which it’s bound to be!! \nInterim Sessions \n• Track session – Monday 7am (Polo ground or 200m track TBC) \n• Swim set – Tuesdays 8am (MBI public pool) \n• Kelly’s castle Cycling TT – Tuesdays 6pm (Sri Maha Mariamman Temple) \n• Run Easy – Wednesday 7am (Polo grounds park) \n• Bike group – Thursday 6.30am (Tambun McDonalds) \n• Swim set – Friday 8am (MBI public pool) \n• Long Bike ride – Saturday 7am (Public Bank Simpang Pulai) \n• Junior Bike skills – Saturday 5.30pm (location TBC) \n• Long Easy Run – Sunday 7am (Meeting point TBC) \n \n
