They can take on the obstacles\, crawl through the mud pit and have fun with friends\, all the while helping raise valuable funds for life-saving research. \nPlease note\, all children taking part must be at least 1.2m tall on day of event. \nAll of our Pretty Muddy Kids events are approximately 5km. At the majority of venues\, there will be a shortcut available at approximately 2km or 3km\, which will lead back to the finish line. \nDISTANCES\n5 km\, 3 km or 2 km x 2 events \nKey Information\nDate: Saturday 4 May 2019 \nTime: from 09:45 \nChildren: £10.00\nSupervising Adult: £0.00 \nVenue: Weston Park\, Weston-Under-Lizard\, Nr Shifnal\, Telford\, TF11 8LE View map \nDistance: Pretty Muddy Kids \nCourse information\nThe Pretty Muddy Weston Park route is a circular route around its beautiful grounds making it the perfect setting for an event like this. The course is a mixture of path\, tracks and grass\, it is mostly flat but there are some hills offering some scenic views over Shropshire and Staffordshire. \nAll of our Pretty Muddy Kids events are approximately 5km. At the majority of venues\, there will be a shortcut available at approximately 2km or 3km\, which will lead back to the finish line. This will signposted on the day. If the shortcut is taken\, it may mean missing out some of the obstacles\, but we will make sure all children get to take part in the muddy slide at the end. \nObstacle layout and shortcut distances will vary from venue to venue. Adults accompanying children will run alongside the course but will not be allowed to take part on the obstacles. \nDue to the nature of the event it is not suitable for wheelchair users \nSupporter / spectator access\nThis is a day for all so why not bring your friends and family along to support you – they can even look after your change of clothes! There will be some activities such as face painting\, spectator cheering point\, merchandise and refreshments on the day so don’t forget your change.

SUMMARY:The Zofinger City Run 2019
DESCRIPTION:Zofinger City Run 2019\nA sporty ambience with spectacular duathlon and running sports in the middle of Zofinger’s old town. \nThe Duathlon Interval and the Zofinger Stadtlauf offer participants and the public a great range of adrenalin and entertainment. \nThe Zofinger city run is a compact and atmospheric city run with various categories for young and old\, teams and individual athletes\, amateur athletes and performance athletes. It will be held for the 22nd time in 2019 and can be played singly or as a team. The routes are 6km or 10km. \nGetting There\nThe journey is easily possible both by train and by car. Zofingen train station is only 400m away from the competition area. For the car\, the public parking outside the city\, preferably at the station parking garage\, to use. \nDoping\nThe use of doping substances is prohibited. \nPhotos\nOur photo team will capture the occasion with impression pictures. The organizer declines any liability for accidents and damages of any kind (including theft). \nParticipants must submit a signed waiver and exemption from liability before the start of the race. \nMusic\nIf you cannot do without: Music in the ears is allowed at the Zofinger city run\, although it is forbidden in the international rules. Please adjust the volume so that the surroundings can be perceived\, eg calls from other runners. \nPersonal Data\nThe personal data of the participants can be used for marketing purposes (eg brochures\, mailings\, etc.) and for this purpose also be passed on to partners. Nevertheless\, you are responsible for turning the target channel after your number of laps! \nPrize money / finisher prizes\nThe 3 best categories in all categories receive prizes in kind. \nNo prices will be forwarded. \nAll participants over 12 years receive a commemorative price in the city run look. \nChildren and pupils up to 11 years receive the city run finisher medal. \nRankings\nThe rankings are published online at Ranking Lists or at Datasport.ch . \nOn race day\, printed rankings are hung at the info points. No rankings will be sent. \nMedical service\nSanitation is on site. \nPresentation ceremony\nAfter the races\, the award ceremonies take place during the festival in the market hall. \nCosts insurance\nEntry fee insurance is the responsibility of the participants. You can insure yourself for a small amount when registering. There is no refund of entry fees from the organizer. \nStarting numbers\nThe start numbers are not sent. They can be picked up on the race day at the start number issue (Rosengartenturnhalle). \nThe bib number issue will open on Sunday morning at 09:00 . \nFood\nDuring the race there is a refreshment point with water every 2km shortly after the start sheet. In addition\, refreshing fruits are served in the finish area in addition to drinks. \nIn the covered area of ​​the market hall\, young and old can quench their thirst and hunger and this right up close to the running track. The final runner then makes the finish line. \nCity run group registration\nAs an alternative to online registration\, you can fill out an Excel form (in full) for your team or for a large number of children or adolescents and send it to nadine.zurschmiede@crossfirecoaching.ch . Then you get the account data for the immediate deposit of the entry fee. SUMMARY:The Big Five Marathon
DESCRIPTION:The wildest of them all\nThe Big Five Marathon is an exclusive event that combines a challenging marathon experience with a classic African safari vacation.\nThe Big Five Marathon in South Africa is held among the wildlife of the African savannah. Runners from all over the world will meet in one of the most spectacular Big Five game reserves in Africa. \nIn these magnificent surroundings\, we combine exciting game drives with a challenging marathon route going right through the habitat of the most famous African game: Elephant\, Rhino\, Buffalo\, Lion and Leopard. \nNo fences\, no rivers\, nothing at all separates the runners from the African wildlife! \n \nRace Info\nThe Big Five Marathon features a classic 42.195km marathon and a half marathon. The distances are colour coded – marathon is black and half marathon is red. Marathon and half marathon – Minimum 18 years old on race day. \n\nRoute description\n\nThe Big Five Marathon is known for its challenging course\, which takes runners through incredible scenery and showcases the natural beauty and wildlife of South Africa. \nThe start and finish line are situated at Lakeside Lodge on the upper escarpment. After the start\, the marathon and half marathon routes take the runners past Ravineside Lodge\, the Entabeni Monolith and further on to the lower plateau. This first section is run on dirt roads made up of red sand. Runners will pass a few hills (nothing too bad…the most challenging is yet to come!). And when you reach Hanglip View Point\, you backtrack and run back before you reach Yellow Wood Valley. Pay attention to this section as the surface is very uneven with loose rocks\, pebbles and holes. \nThe Yellow Wood Valley is the most dreaded part of the course. You are about to run down the steepest slope of your life! This sharp descent is on a paved surface. The next three kilometres or so will be excruciatingly hard on your quads as you negotiate the steep slope. You reach lion country after the descent. And\, although the next nine kilometres are flat\, you’re running through deep sand. Full marathoners do a 9km loop\, whereas half marathon runners run a 2km loop. \n\n \n  \n\nThis brings us back to Yellow Wood. And yes\, you guessed correctly – we’re going up the dreaded hill this time! Be prepared to take things slowly as it’s virtually impossible to run up this hill. \nThe route carries on to Long Drive\, a narrow valley\, where marathon runners do a 6km loop. Half marathoners run across the valley and reach the final section of the route. This section is run on dirt trails\, a welcome respite from the deep sand and loose stone terrain earlier on. \nThe end of the run is fairly hard (final four kilometres). We run halfway down the ridge\, which provides us with a wonderful view out over the plateau’s lake. The surface is fairly bad\, consisting of hard uneven stony ground with plenty of large rocks and stones of all sizes. This final part has quite a few hills and as the surface is loose\, it pays to keep a careful watch on the ground as we run towards the finish. With the finish line in sight you can now take it nice and easy. \nThe weather is very dry\, sunny and cool at this time of the year. DESCRIPTION:The Isle of Man Marathon is a competitor friendly event taking place on the picturesque course in the North of the Island\, nestled between England and Ireland. The Half Marathon has been voted in ‘Runners’ World’ as one of the top ten races in the United Kingdom\, Stunning Scenery and an undulating route await those who enter. \nUnique medal\, Tech T-shirt and goody bag for all finishers. Free buffet lunch and the bar will be open! Electronic chip timing. Trophies for first 3 men and first 3 women in all age groups. Race numbers will be allocated at the registration desk only on the morning of race day from 07:30 am or Saturday 10th August between 10:00 – 12:00. \nThe race will be run over the Manx Northern course\, starting and finishing in Ramsey. Start in Ramsey. Head along Mooragh Promenade past the site of the former Grand Island hotel and on to Bride. From there to Andreas and St Judes before turning back towards Ramsey. The race is set every year in week 33. Lofoten Triathlon will take place 16th till 17th of August 2019\, in the town of Svolvær. \nCLICK HERE FOR NORWEGIAN TRIATHLON CHAMPIONSHIP PROGRAM AND INFO.\nFriday 16th of August: \nEXTREME: 4 km swim in the harbor of Svolvær\, 196 km bike ride around Vestvågøy\, Gimsøy and a short visit to iconic Henningsvær before you return to Svolvær. DESCRIPTION: It is an unique event and an opportunity to enjoy Swedish landscape with your running shoes on. The four distances: 42\,2 – 21\,1 – 10\,5 – 5\,5 km is great if you bring friends and family. You are able to change distance until last day. \n\nA lovely feature of the race is that you celebrate your achievement by taking a swim. The start and finish is at Fjällnora\, a beach located at an isthmus between two lakes\, surrounded by forests. \n\nThe event is small scale and friendly\, we expect no more than 200-300 people on each distance. Our aim is to focus on lovely run courses and less garbage. So we will provide runners with multi-use cups instead of plastic cups. Less merchandise\, but more run fun. You may actually meet a steam train along the course!\n\nOur race is open for runners with dogs\, last year there were just two dogs. Please contact us if you are not comfortable with four footed friends.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPRACTICALITIES\n\nAccommodation\n\nHotels in Uppsala or Stockholm. Cottages in Fjällnora.
