DESCRIPTION:Richmond RunFest – Kew Gardens\n \nKew Gardens 10k race Starting & Finishing:  \nThe Broadwalk\, via Victoria Gate\, Royal Botanic Gardens\, Kew\, Richmond. \nThe Richmond RunFest – Kew Gardens 10k will start in Royal Botanic Gardens\, Kew and finish in Old Deer Park. All runners and their supporters can enter Kew Gardens free of charge and we have baggage trucks in place to collect your personal belongings and transport them securely to the finish line where they will be safely stored until collection. \nWe strongly advise all runners to arrive more than 1 hour before your race. Any late comers who arrive after 8.40 am will be denied entry and will not be able to take part in the race. This also is the same for friends and family. Friends and family can enter after 8.40am but will have to pay a normal Kew Gardens ticket (visit Kew Gardens website for prices). \nPlease take Sunday public transport timetables and delays into consideration. There are facilities in Kew Gardens serving hot drinks and food so come early and enjoy the surroundings before your run. \nParking is unavailable at Kew Gardens and we strongly advise participants to travel to Kew Gardens via public transport. If you are driving\, we suggest you park in Richmond and travel to the start via public transport (bus/ train) or on foot. \nSuggested car park is next to Richmond Station. \nCan supporters and family see me in Kew Gardens for free? \nYes\, Kew Gardens have kindly waivered any entrance fee in the morning\, no tickets needed so runners can get the send off and finish they deserve. Cafes will be open for hot and cold beverages.  \nPLEASE NOTE: Friends and family need to be inside Kew Gardens before 8.40am otherwise they will have to pay the normal entry fee when the gates reopen to the general public. \nTerrain:\nKew Gardens 10K: All on road and path inside Kew Gardens. SUMMARY:The Beijing Marathon 2017
DESCRIPTION:The Beijing Marathon\nThe Beijing Marathon has been organized by the Chinese Athletics Association annually since 1981. The race holds an IAAF Gold Label Road Race. It is AIMS-certified course\, making it eligible for world record performances. It hosted the Asian Marathon Championship races in 2006. \nRACE DATE AND PLACE\nRace date: Sunday\, September 17th\, 2017\nPlace: Beijing.\nEVENT: Marathon (42.195KM)\nDIVISIONS: Male and Female\nSTART TIME: 7:30 a.m. September 17th\, 2017 \nRACE COURSE\nStarting Point: Tian’anmen Square\, Beijing.\nFinishing Point: the Celebration Square in central area of Scenic Boulevard inthe Beijing Olympic Park.\nCourse goes through Dongcheng District\, Xicheng District\, Haidian District\,and Chaoyang District. \nRULES OF COMPETITION\nThe competition will follow the latest track-and-field competition rules approved by the CAA and the competition rules of Beijing Marathon 2017. \nRoll-call: All participants need to wear the bib number in front of the chest and arrive at the Tian’anmen Square 60 mins before the race start for roll-call. Elite athletes shall arrive at the specific that located near with the starting line 40 minutes prior to the race start. Elite athletes shall present their original passport for roll-call. \nStart order: In the sequence of elite athletes and general athletes (divided in separate zones)\, with 10 meters in-between. Wheelchair racing runners need to start in your own zone for roll-call. \nStart: All participants will start at 7:30 a.m. \nTiming method:\nAll participants will use timing chips\, which starts working when participants cross the start line. Timing carpets are placed at the start line\, every 5KM point\, half point(21.0975KM)\, turning point and the finish line. Participants shall run through each timing carpet during the race. Those who finish within the cutoff time but without complete record from all timing points will not be qualified for final ranking. Timing chip is to be released with bib number at Beijing Marathon Expo. No deposit required. \nCut-off time:\nFor the safety of all participants\, traffic control will be operated in different time periods at specific road section. Cut-off time is set at some road sections. After the cutoff time\, timing carpet will stop working and public traffic in this section will be back to normal. Those who are unable to complete the respective distance by the cutoff time shall stop racing and leave the course\, in case of any dangers. Those who drop out of the race can take event vehicle or take public transportation to the finish line.  \nBaggage Deposit and Collection: Participants shall deposit personal belongings by the order of bib number at designated area of Tian’anmen Square. After finishing the race\, participants shall go to respective area for collection. Please do not put valuables in your deposit bag (such as mobile phone\, identification document\, cash\, keys\, credit card\, iPad\, etc.). In case of damage or loss\, participants shall bear all the consequences arising. Service of baggage deposit on race day will be closed 15 minutes prior to the race start. Please plan your time accordingly. Baggage collection will be available by 14:45 on race day at designated areas. Those who are unable to collect the baggage by above-mentioned time can go to the organizing committee and claim storaged bag within one week after the race day. After this one-week\, all unclaimed baggage will be disposed by organizing committee. \nREGISTRATION\nAll entrants shall be at least 20 years old by race day (born in 1997 or before). Physical requirement: Marathon is an athletic sport of high load and great intensity over long distances. It is also a high risk athletic sport which has high physical demands on participants. Those who wish to participant in Marathon race shall be in healthy condition\, have experience in running and have completed training with distance over half-marathon. Anyone who has any of the following diseases are not recommended to participate: \n1. Congenital heart disease and rheumatic heart disease. \n2. Hypertension and cerebrovascular disease. \n3. Myocarditis and other heart diseases. \n4. Coronary artery disease and server irregular heartbeat. \n5. Diabetes. \n6. Having cold symptoms two weeks prior to the race. \n7. Other diseases that is not suitable for sports. \n8. Pregnant. \nRegistration and payment: \nRace Capacity: 30\,000 entries. \nRegistration and payment can be completed at the official website of Beijing Marathon.
