DESCRIPTION:Placencia Marathon – End of the World\nJoin The Placencia Marathon@End of the World Marathon \nCome join us for the annual End of the World Marathon in Placencia\, Belize.  \nCome for the run and stay for the fun in a Caribbean wonderland of beautiful beaches\, mystical Mayan temples\, spectacular caves\, pristine rain forests\, and the second largest barrier reef in the world. \nWhy the End of the World Marathon?\nThe first Placencia Marathon & Half Marathon was held in December of 2012\, days before the end of the Mayan Calendar on December 21\, 2012. That date\, often referred to as the “End of the World” was especially significant in Belize where the Mayans have lived for hundreds\, if not thousands\, of years.  \nThe Mayan calendar began on a date corresponding to 3114 BC and the earliest artifacts of Mayan culture discovered in Cuello\, Belize have been carbon dated to about 2600 BC.  \nAlthough the world did not end in 2012\, we retained the name “End of the World Marathon” in honor of the distinguished writer Aldous Huxley\, who wrote in 1934  about Belize ‘If the world had any ends\, British Honduras would certainly be one of them.’ \nRun for charity\nThe End of the World Marathon is not only about running and fun in beautiful Belize.  \nAll proceeds raised from the marathon go towards high school scholarships for children on the peninsula.  \nCourse\nThe 26.2 mile marathon course  begins at the football field at the bottom of the peninsula\, goes through Placencia Village\, Seine Bight Village\, and Maya Beach\, with multiple views of the Caribbean Sea along the way. The course then loops back a few miles south of Riversdale.  \nThe 13.1 mile half marathon course begins at the marathon turnaround and both races finish in Placencia Village.  \nThere will be water stations at about every mile. The course is completely flat.  \nSchedule\nSaturday\, December 9\, 2017 @ Turtle Inn\n3 pm – 6 pm:  Registration and Packet pick up\n6 pm: Pasta dinner ($15 BZ for Belizeans and $15 US for non Belizeans – can be paid for at packet pickup)       \nSunday\, December 10\, 2017 @ Placencia Village\n5:30 am: Marathon start\n5:30 am: Half-marathon start (13.1 miles north of marathon start)\n9:30 am: 2 mile fun run\n11:30 am: Awards\nNoon: Post-race party\n1 pm – midnight: Marathon Beach Party at Tipsy Tuna  \nThe registration deadline is October 16\, 2017. ​Runners who pay their fees after this date may participate in the event\, but will not be guaranteed an official race T-shirt and finisher medal.

DESCRIPTION:Goa River Marathon 2017\nSkechers Performance Goa River Marathon (SPSPGrm) is a 42 Kilomenter run in paradise with a route that runs along the pristine blue waters of the Zuari River. Held each year in second week of December\, this year’s event to be held on 10th December and will be our eight in a row! \nThe beautiful river view\, tree-shaded route\, super smooth roads and professional organization make this one of the top marathons in India and has been duly acknowledeged as such in various magazines including National Geographic which says “Goa River Marathon is one of the 10 Great Marathons in the world”. \nThe marathon starts at 04:30 a.m. the half marathon at 6:00 AM; the 10KM competitive run at 07:30 AM and 5KM fun-walk-or-run event at 9:00 AM. You can run for sport or you can run for fun in fact\, we insist you have fun while you run. \nThis year SPGrm has not only decided award prize money to top 6 instead of top 3 in open category\, we’ve decided to reward fans and participants with special loyalty discounts. If you participated in any previous edition of Skechers Performance Skechers Performance Goa River Marathon\, a 6% discount will automatically be applied. If you participated in any two previous editions of Skechers Performance Skechers Performance Goa River Marathon\, a 8% discount will automatically be applied. If you participated in any three or more previous edition of Skechers Performance Goa River Marathon\, a 10% discount will automatically be applied. \nAdditionally when you register (even first timers)\, your registration confirmation email will contain a referral discount code which you can send to 10 of your friends. DESCRIPTION:Maritime Run 2017\nThe Maritime Run is organized by Ministry of Transport in conjunction with World Maritime Day. \nRegistration\nEveryone needs to register via Online Registration  \nNote:\n– Online registration is only valid with online payment. Other means of payment (cash\, etc) is deemed invalid.\n– Any online registration that is not followed with online payment will become invalid registration. Therefore\, please ensure to pay online when you register online.\n– No refund will be made for wrongful or multiple registration.\n– Substitution and changing of categories is NOT allowed\, so please select the category you’re eligible to sign up according to the age qualification. Otherwise you will have to re-register.\n– Postal entries are not accepted.\n– The decision of the Competition Committee is final when accepting entries.
