SUMMARY:Oswestry 10K Run
DESCRIPTION:The Oswestry 10k brings together an active community of people participating in sporting events for reasons ranging from fitness\, competition\, charity\, health\, fun\, or simply finishing. \n\n\n\nThe participants vary from nervous first-timers of all ages to competitive runners. The Oswestry 10k will take place on Sunday 15th\, October 2023\, and the event starts/finish in Church St and loop around the town. The event HQ & start/finish are a short walk from several car parks in the town centre. \n\n\n\nPerfect for all 10K runners and those seeking a fast time. An undulating and challenging tight one-lap race starting and finishing in the Town Centre with fully closed roads. The Route is mainly on town roads with an excellent scenic section towards the end. \n\n\n\nOnce you complete the run\, you will receive your finishers medal! \n\n\n\nRACE HQ START / FINISH: Smithfield Street\, Oswestry\, Shropshire\, SY11 2EG\n\n\n\nThe event HQ & start/finish are a short walk from several car parks in the town centre. \n\n\n\nRACE DAY SCHEDULE\n\n\n\n\nArrive in Oswestry: 8 am\n\n\n\nWarm Up: 8:45 am\n\n\n\nRace Start: 9 am\n\n\n\n\nPARKING\n\n\n\nBailey Head car park SY11 1PZ or Salop Rd Central Car Park SY11 2NR. We advise local residents to park on the outskirts of town and walk in. \n\n\n\nRace Start / Finish\n\n\n\nThe Race Start / Finish will be full of music and flags. Race HQ will have a help desk for any last-minute issues. The race village is just a short walk from the local park\, car parks\, retail shops\, cafes and eateries. \n\n\n\nRace Experience\n\n\n\nWe are keen to ensure everyone enjoys the day regardless of their ability. Our great race cut-off time will allow everyone to return to Church Street before we open the public roads. SUMMARY:Manchester Half Marathon
DESCRIPTION:The Manchester Half Marathon is a 13.1-mile challenge that takes place every October\, starting and finishing by Old Trafford\, and is easily the biggest in the region with over 15\,000 runners. It’s an event that aims to truly represent all the wonderful people of Manchester and celebrate our achievements. \n\n\n\nSince its launch in 2016\, it has received rave reviews from participants\, thanks to its professional delivery\, flat route and amazing support from crowds around the course. \n\n\n\nThe 2023 Manchester Half will take place on Sunday\, 15th October\, as Manchester’s favourite half marathon places are extremely popular. Early entries are now open – be sure to sign up quickly to avoid disappointment. \n\n\n\nYour Manchester Half Marathon race day checklist\, is below. Please plan and prepare well to get the most out of your event day experience. \n\n\n\nEVENT DAY CHECKLIST MANCHESTER HALF EVENT GUIDE\n\n\n\n\nREAD -This race event guide before the race. It contains essential information.\n\n\n\nARRIVE IN PLENTY OF TIME -Your arrival time will be sent to you in advance. Where possible\, we strongly advise using Metrolink to travel to the event. Old Trafford Metrolink stop is the closest to bag drop\, but others are available. Plan your journey here.\n\n\n\nBRING your pre-booked parking ticket or Metrolink pass.\n\n\n\nYOUR RACE KIT- Check out our event merch available to buy here.\n\n\n\nRACE NUMBERS- Bring your race number and make sure the emergency information is filled in on the back.\n\n\n\nBAG DROP- If using the bag drop\, please put your kit in a small backpack or gym bag with easily accessible handles. Where possible\, to avoid queues\, we suggest you leave it with friends or family.\n\n\n\nRACE PINS -Please use safety pins or an alternative way of attaching your number\, such as race pins. Please be aware these will not be available on-site.\n\n\n\nSPARE KIT -Warm top or even a bin bag to discard at the race start if it’s cold or wet. There are a number of cost-effective ticket options for both runners and spectators. The Event Village\, Toilets\, Start Line\, and Finish Line are a short walk from the following recommended tram stops: Old Trafford (1 min walk)\, Trafford Bar (10 min walk)\, Wharfside & Exchange Quay (both approx a 15 min walk). These tram stations have designated routecrossing points which allow safe access across the run route. Do not use the Pomona tram station\, as you cannot cross the run route. \n\n\n\nPark & Ride: There are over 100 park-and-ride locations in Greater Manchester. It’s easy to park up and hop on the tram for a hassle-free journey to the event. For further information on parking\, please visit Transport for Greater Manchester. \n\n\n\nRAIL SERVICES: If you travel to the event from outside Manchester by rail\, we recommend using Manchester Piccadilly or Manchester Victoria Stations. Both stations have Metrolink connections\, so you can quickly hop on a tram to continue yourjourney. \n\n\n\nDISABLED PARKING: We offer a limited amount of disabled parking for our participants that require it. It must be booked in advance\, with a deadline of Friday 3rd October.
