SUMMARY:Brynkinalt Running Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Brynkinalt Running Festival brings together an active community of people taking part in sporting events for reasons ranging from fitness\, competition\, charity\, health\, fun\, or to simply finish. The participants vary of all ages and all abilities of trail runners. \n\n\n\nThe festival offers runners the chance to run 5k (approx) and 10k (approx) in the amazing surroundings of the Brynkinalt Estate. We offer canicross on the Saturday and standard running on Sunday. \n\n\n\nRACE HQ START / FINISH\n\n\n\nThis will in front of the stunning Brynkinalt Hall/Brynkinalt\, Wrexham LL14 5NS. *Please note Brynkinalt Estate is on Private land\, under no circumstances will you be able to run the route at any other time. \n\n\n\nRACE DAY SCHEDULE\n\n\n\n\nSaturday 16th March5k Canicross 8:30am10k Canicross 8:45am \nSunday 17th March \n5k 9am\n10k 9:15am\n\n\n\n\nPARKING\n\n\n\nBrynkinalt Estate\, Chirk\, Trevor Road\, LL14 5HA \n\n\n\n(please arrive from the centre of Chirk on Trevor Road and not the trade entrance at the back) \n\n\n\nEach race offers a challenging route for all trail runners. It takes in some breath-taking scenery overlooking the private estate that is normally closed to the public. \n\n\n\nOnce you have completed the run\, you will receive some awesome goodies! \n\n\n\nMinimum Ages\n\n\n\n\n5k (approx) Min age 12 years old\n\n\n\n10k (approx) Min age 16 years old\n\n\n\n\nRace Start / Finish\n\n\n\nThe Race start and finish will be a short walk to the parking area allowing to leave your valuables in your car. We will have music playing and a help desk for any last-minute questions. Please take note the parking area is on a private estate so please be respectful and stick to the runner’s area in front of the hall. \n\n\n\nRace Experience\n\n\n\nWe are keen to ensure that everyone\, regardless of their ability enjoys the day. We aim to have 1 water station halfway around the 10k route and by the start and finish area for all runners. Please can we encourage you to bring a suitable bottle to run with. At the finish line we will give you your medal and let you enjoy the festival in the stunning surroundings. We don’t advertise the route due to this being on private land\, we need to respect the landowners’ wishes.

SUMMARY:Burrator 10K and Kids Races | 10K
DESCRIPTION:Fast and flat route on fully closed roads that is almost all on tarmac. UK Athletics licensed\, run under England Athletics rules and results will appear on Power of 10. Start on the dam bridge itself. \n\n\n\nThe event will be run under UK athletics rules\, with results appearing on Power of 10. The race is on closed roads and starts right on the Dam bridge. \n\n\n\nThe stunning setting is also perfect for a PB. It starts about 1K southeast of the visitor centre and does one complete loop of the reservoir and then two-thirds of a second loop before finishing at exactly 10K about 400 metres north of HQ (the visitor centre). The start is now right on the Dam bridge. \n\n\n\nThere are just 90 metres of climbing on this course\, and a top runner in good conditions could break 30 minutes. However\, it’s also ideal for fun runners and beginners\, and many competitors notch up PBs here! \n\n\n\nThis event is part of Burrator 10K and Kids Races. \n\n\n\nRoute\n\n\n\n\n1.6 laps of the reservoir. Although it’s not completely flat many people run PBs here. SUMMARY:Reading Half Marathon – 14th April 2024
DESCRIPTION:The first ever Reading Half Marathon was organised and run in 1983 when the start and finish venue was Reading University at White Knights Park. There were 5\,000 runners and it was won by a 21-year-old local University student\, Mark Curzons in a time of 67.45. \n\n\n\nIn 2003 Sweatshop took over the organisation of the Reading Half Marathon. Sweatshop’s aim was to make the event all about the runner and ultimately create an experience that is worthy of this prestigious Half Marathon. Sweatshop made numerous changes to the course over the duration of their fifteenth-year organisational span which resulted in a fast route and an amazing finish in the magnificent Madejski Stadium. \n\n\n\n2018 marked a new chapter in the Reading Half Marathon as new organisers Goldline Events took to the helm that summer. With the aim of making the race even bigger and better\, we promised to not only continue the great work Sweatshop did but to enhance each and every runner’s experience. \n\n\n\nThe Reading Half Marathon not only takes in the highlights of the centre of Reading where you will experience huge crowd support but also still passes through the beautiful grounds of the University campus.
