DESCRIPTION:A unique\, team endurance swimming challenge for all abilities. Gather a team of between 1 to 8 swimmers and swim for an hour each\, for 24 hours! \n\n\n\nOVERVIEWYou swim as much as you want\, as fast as you want.\n\n\n\nThis event is unique in being a personal/team endurance swimming challenge rather than about speed or distance. It’s also for everyone over the age of 14\, regardless of your ability. It’s not a race\, no one is being timed or tracked. \n\n\n\nHIGHLIGHTS\n\n\n\nTHE GLASTONBURY OF SWIMMINGIt felt like a swimming festival\, like a Glastonbury with open water rather than bands. The community spirit really made it something special. \n\n\n\nUNIQUE AND PERSONALThe event itself is unique in being a personal/team endurance challenge rather than about speed or distance\, and although a few teams clearly wanted to be competitive\, the team was fantastic in promoting the inclusive\, not a race\, message. \n\n\n\nTHE ATMOSPHEREThe atmosphere was brilliant. The nighttime swims really are so special but also getting to swim together as a team was brilliant. The event staff maintained their energy throughout\, which helped when we were flagging. \n\n\n\nSUCH A JOYThe weekend was such a joy to be a part of – seeing all these people come together to do something uplifting and for such an amazing cause creates the best buzz. It’s so relaxed and easygoing\, everyone knows where to be and when\, and it all just runs smoothly. \n\n\n\nCHEER THE NIGHTI loved the camaraderie\, with people cheering on everyone\, even at 2 am. The people were all so lovely\, and it’s such an incredible community to be part of – watching everyone going in for that last hour made me emotional! \n\n\n\nTOP ORGANISATION10 minutes before the hour\, you can start the changeover. It was nice and smooth. The uniqueness is the 24-hour part. I think it’s amazing.

SUMMARY:Bell Rock Adventure Swim
DESCRIPTION:Open Water Swim Adventure Event organised by Pete Wilby Triathlon. \nThe BELL ROCK SWIM ADVENTURE is a fantastic season opener. A real rugged bit of coastline and a visit to the places you simply can’t get to without a boat. The beauty of this short 2km adventure is that you are in the water with some amazing sights. You will be swimming with seals and small fish and will likely see shrimps\, lobsters and shellfish along the bottom. \nThe route begins at Maidencombe beach (a pay and display carpark is at the top of the cliffs. There is a five-minute walk down the steps to the beach). You will meet the team on the beach where we will stow on the boat’s your small essentials such as flip flops a warm top and drinks. Before getting in we will provide a short safety briefing and route plan. \nThe swim heads out and around the rocky outcrops\, staying close to the shore and picking up a heading on Bell Rock (named for its shape). You will find a small channel around the back of the rock\, just wide enough to swim through. The route goes past Watcombe beach and then we get the chance to peer into Watcombe caves. The epic SWIM ADVENTURE finishes at Oddicombe beach\, which can be easily recognised for its Victorian style and venicular railway going up the cliff. \nAfter arriving at Oddicombe\, all swimmers will be offered a warm drink before we take the boats back to Maidencombe where the adventure began. \n

DESCRIPTION:The Bali Ocean Swim is another beautiful GSS swim that follows the ever-growing trend of excellent open water swims in exotic and exciting locations. \nA province of Indonesia\, Bali is also known as the Island of the Gods and for good reason. This island paradise is covered by lush jungle\, rolling hills\, volcanic mountains\, terraced rice patties\, beautiful beaches and some of the most beautiful snorkeling and diving in the world. It’s of little wonder why Bali quite consistently wins a variety of different travel awards. The race is specifically located in near Kuta\, the known as a surfing mecca for many tourists. \nThe race itself is hosted by the Bali Sports Foundation\, a charity that aims to improve the lives of children in Indonesia through the power of sport and play for development\, health and peace. Proceeds from the race go to providing funding for a water and swimming safety program for disabled children and youth in Bali. There’s a little something for everyone with a 1.2km\, 5km and 10k distance available. It would be a brilliant way for novices to transition from pool triathlons to Open water. \n𝙎𝙘𝙤𝙩𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙈𝙞𝙭𝙚𝙙 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙢 𝙍𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙮 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥𝙨\nOur Mixed Team Relay event\, aimed at ages 15+ will take place in and around Monikie Park in a safe and fun environment and is a fantastic spectator event for everyone to enjoy. The Team Relay takes place directly after the completion of the Tri Stars and Youth event and requires 4 team mates to take part . Each athlete completes a 300m open water swim\, 5km bike and 1.25km run before handing their chip over to their next team member. The final team member completes the event by crossing the finish line. The fastest team on the day wins! \nSWIM : The swim will take place from the beach in the north pond\, following a simple 300m course before exiting up the sluice and up the banking before running into T1. This will be a fast course with athletes entering the water continuously throughout the event as each of their team mates passes them their timing chip at the beach changeover. \nBike : The bike starts off at the main transition area before exiting via the south gate\, looping around the outer perimeter of the park in a counter clockwise direction before reentering the park via the south gate. The Team Relay event takes place on open roads however is heavily marshaled as this is a fast and furious event. Athletes only need to complete one single loop of the bike course \nRun : The last leg of the event takes place on the paths between the North and South ponds with the athletes running a fast out and back loop\, The first three of each team will return to the beach changeover zone and the last athlete of each team will finish by running through the finish arch \n𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙠𝙞𝙚 𝙏𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝘼𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙡𝙤𝙣\nOur Tristars events\, aimed at children aged 9-14 will take place in and around Monikie Park in a safe and fun environment. \nTristars 1 – Ages 9-10\nTristars 2 – Ages 11-12\nTristars 3 – Ages 13-14 \nSWIM : The swim will take place from the beach in the north pond\, following a safe sheltered course before returning to the beach and into T1 located nearby. This season is open to all teams in Phuket and the surrounding areas. The meets will be held at Thanyapura’s 50m Olympic pool\, which will be available from 6.45-7.50am during each session for warm ups. The season costs 400THB per swimmer. \n  \nDATE:\n– 30 November 2019\,\n– 8 February 2020\n– 30 May 2020 \n  \n1. SUMMARY:IRONMAN 70.3 Langkawi
DESCRIPTION:Langkawi Island\, the Jewel of Kedah\, is set to host the new IRONMAN 70.3 Langkawi in 2019.\nRace along the pristine coast of Langkawi – the paradise tropical island of Malaysia. \nThe Event Experience\nThe ocean swim starts from the picturesque white sandy beach of Pantai Kok with a triangle out and back course. A one-loop bike course heads out of Pantai Kok on to a clockwise loop from towards the rolling hills of Datai and the fringes of Kuah Town. Athletes will return from the bike into an unique indoor air conditioned transition at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Center (next to the airport) . The run course will be an amazing scenic run beside the Langkawi International Airport towards the finish line at the stunning Cenang beach. \n \n  \nIRONMAN 70.3 World Championship Qualifying Race\nThere are 60 qualifying slots to the 2020 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Taupo\, New Zealand. \nIn addition\, Women For Tri\, a program of the IRONMAN Foundation announced that IRONMAN 70.3 Langkawi will be receiving an additional 25 slots to the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship as well. \n\n\n\nAll athletes must be 18 years of age or older by 26 October 2019\n\n\n\n\nCategories \nIndividual Racing \nRelay Race \n  \nMore info and Registration : CLICK HERE\n  \nEmail:  malaysia@ironman.com \n
