SUMMARY:Fire Fighters 2UP Duathlon\,
DESCRIPTION:The EPIC Fire Fighters ‘2UP’ Duathlon is a unique event which takes place in conjunction with Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue. It’s known locally as the ‘start of season social race’ but there’s nothing particularly ‘social’ about the course! The format is simple\, you choose a friend or race partner and stick together throughout the run / bike / run. On the bike you are allowed to work as a pair\, by ‘drafting’ each other\, but not with other teams. The 4 miles trail run is a tough start and end to the race\, with a hilly 25 mile in between\, to make sure you finish with a grimace on your face. It’s a fantastic event\, an awesome atmosphere\, lots of team rivalries and smiles all round. Grab your partner and get entered! \nThe cost to enter the Fire Fighters Duathlon is £70 per team (£35pp) & included within your entry is a bespoke Firefighters Duathlon finishers medal & bespoke Firefighters Duathlon finishers T-shirt. \nThere is also a free kids race just before the main race so bring the family. \n[fusion_button link=”https://epicevents.co.uk/firefighters-duathlon/?fbclid=IwAR3tYuOUHYRbYaHNE1qyMdXERRGI8q–iM9Tn7ExOU3ponBU3aovplA8UQQ” text_transform=”” title=”” target=”_self” link_attributes=”” alignment=”” modal=”” hide_on_mobile=”small-visibility\,medium-visibility\,large-visibility” class=”” id=”” s2id_autogen16=”” s2id_autogen16_search=”” color=”default” button_gradient_top_color=”” button_gradient_bottom_color=”” button_gradient_top_color_hover=”” button_gradient_bottom_color_hover=”” accent_color=”” accent_hover_color=”” type=”” bevel_color=”” border_width=”” border_radius=”” border_color=”” border_hover_color=”” size=”” stretch=”default” icon=”” icon_position=”left” icon_divider=”no” s2id_autogen17=”” s2id_autogen17_search=”” animation_type=”” animation_direction=”left” animation_speed=”0.3″ s2id_autogen18=”” s2id_autogen18_search=”” animation_offset=””]Register Here[/fusion_button]

SUMMARY:Anglian Water Duathlons 2020
DESCRIPTION:The Anglian Water Duathlons offers the chance to shake off the winter and test your fitness at the start of the new season. Its picturesque setting in Cambridgeshire inspires first timers as well as those that have raced for national titles and Great Britain Age-Group qualification slots over the years. \nThis is a race for everyone and suited to all abilities\, whether you’re at the front\, middle or the back of the field we enjoy offering the big-race feel at this amazing venue. Whether you’re doing the sprint or the Standard distance\, you’ll race along the tracks around the lake and woodland and enjoy one of the most picturesque settings for a duathlon that you are ever likely to race on. Both run sections take place on hard compound tracks and feature steady climbs at the outset\, which obviously means you’ll be running downhill to the first transition and the finishing line. SUMMARY:Free Triathlon Training in Ipoh Malaysia
DESCRIPTION:Ipoh\, Perak\, Malaysia is going to have two great international athletes leading workshops and training camps for anyone interested in Triathlon. Swimming Cycling and Running. \n \nHi Everyone \nBelow is you’ll find the weekly training structure for our group and others that are bound to join. It will help develop us all for our goals moving forward even if your goal is just to be a healthier happier person J \nThese sessions start TOMORROW and I just want to run you through some key points on the plan. \nThe track session is a key session for the week and will develop your run technique and leg speed\, giving you tremendous pace awareness. The first session TOMORROW is an important session where I will test your aerobic capacity (or your run VO2 max)\, this can be done fairly accurately with a simple time trial and will provide paces which will really help each training phase. If you do own a pace watch PLEASE wear it to each session and I will provide you with your paces that we will be using after our simple test tomorrow. We meet at the polo ground run track (around the pond) at 7am sharp for a 1 hour session. \nSwim sessions are less than I would like at just two 1 hour sessions per week\, we should swim more than this and we eventually will\, but please attend these two sessions if possible and use the techniques learnt in your own sessions. Just pay your public entry fee at 8am to access the outside MBI pool\, PLEASE bring Fins\, Paddles\, Pull Buoy and kick board if you have them and if you do not PLEASE purchase them as you will not be able to participate in valuable drills without them! Head to the pool as quickly as possible so we can get in and secure a centre section of the pool in what is a public session. \nKelly’s Castle TT on Tuesday nights is both fun and a very valuable session we will meet at the Sri Maha Mariamman Hindu Temple next to Kellies Castle https://goo.gl/maps/8yAqnVkHmaE2 I have agreed parking here for all our participants\, but please kindly make a donation at the box inside the temple to show our appreciation for accepting us! These sessions WILL build speed and develop your threshold power through the season\, I can give you pointers on this\, but the fun bit is that all results will be entered onto a league table to provide end of year results which will result in prizes and awards for the most improved and fasted riders as well as some fun awards as well! The league table will be updated and published after each Tuesday evening session. \nAll other sessions are group runs or bike rides where there is no specific coaching but we will work as a team and improve together sharing experience and advice. \nYou may notice there is a Junior bike skills session which Dave Spence has kindly agreed to run\, this still needs final agreement but will be a great session for bike development and I have some good ideas I can share with Dave to make it both fun and beneficial which it’s bound to be!! \nInterim Sessions \n• Track session – Monday 7am (Polo ground or 200m track TBC) \n• Swim set – Tuesdays 8am (MBI public pool) \n• Kelly’s castle Cycling TT – Tuesdays 6pm (Sri Maha Mariamman Temple) \n• Run Easy – Wednesday 7am (Polo grounds park) \n• Bike group – Thursday 6.30am (Tambun McDonalds) \n• Swim set – Friday 8am (MBI public pool) \n• Long Bike ride – Saturday 7am (Public Bank Simpang Pulai) \n• Junior Bike skills – Saturday 5.30pm (location TBC) \n• Long Easy Run – Sunday 7am (Meeting point TBC) \n \n
