DESCRIPTION:The event takes place on the magnificent closed road circuit surrounding the 2012 Olympic velodrome in the Velopark\, Stratford. \nThe purpose built circuit is 1mile in length. The first waves (TS1\,) will start at 12:30pm. \nThe event format of run-bike-run. \nTriStar 1 (9-10 years) 600m run (1 laps\, some inclines) / 3.2km bike (2laps some inclines) / 600m run (1 lap\, some inclines). \nTriStar 2 (11-12 years) 1.2 run (2 laps\, some inclines) / 4.8km bike (3 laps some inclines) / 600m run (1 lap\, some inclines). \nTriStar 3 (13-14 years) 1.6km run (1 lap some inclines) / 8.0km bike (5 laps some inclines) / 600m run (1 lap\, some inclines). \nYouth (15-16 years) 1.6km run (1 lap some inclines) / 8.0km bike (5 laps some inclines) / 600m run (1 lap\, some inclines). \nTriStar  (8 years) 400m run (some inclines) / 800m bike (2 laps flat) / 200m run (some inclines). \nThe event is chip timed with medals for all participants.. \nThe event is open to all ability levels and is both an ideal venue for your first duathlon. \nThere are changing and showering facilities as well as cafes on site. Providing the backdrop to the event is the London Aquatic Centre (used for the 2012 Olympic swimming events)\, the 2012 athletics Stadium and the ArcelorMittal Orbit and the vast Westfield shopping centre.

DESCRIPTION:Run 3miles  (4.82km) \, Bike 15miles (24.14km) \, Run 2miles (3.21km) \nEvent Overview\nThe event takes place on the magnificent closed road circuit surrounding the 2012 Olympic velodrome in the Velopark\, Stratford. \nThe purpose built circuit is 1mile in length. Depending upon entry number there could be two waves: Wave 1 registration from 09:30am\, Wave 2 registration from 13:00pm \nThe event format of run-bike-run\, starts with with a 3mile (3 lap) first run then a 15mile (15 lap) bike section before finishing with a 2mile (2 laps) final run. \nThe event is chip timed with medals for the places in 16-19years\, 20-39years\, 40-49years and 50+years age bands. Each particicpant will get a T-shirt as part of the entry fee. \nThe event is open to all ability levels and is both an ideal venue for your first duathlon whilst at the same time provides a challenge for the more experienced duathletes and triathletes. \nThere are changing and showering facilities as well as cafes on site. Providing the backdrop to the event is the London Aquatic Centre (used for the 2012 Olympic swimming events)\, the 2012 athletics Stadium and the ArcelorMittal Orbit and the vast Westfield shopping centre. \n

DESCRIPTION:Legon Sprint Series\nThe Legon Sprint Series is hosted and organized by the Ghana Triathlon Federation amd is set to take place on the 14th of May 2017. \nRegistration closes on May 7th 2017. \nThis event will feature the usual sprint format with both individual and popular relay options. The event is\nfree in a bid to encourage athletes\, wannabe athletes\, men\, women\, boys and girls (ages 16\nand above)\, swimmers\, cyclists\, runners\, professionals\, amateurs and beginners to join in on the fun. \nPlease do come along\, to race or to spectate. \nDetails \nEntries for the Individual and Relay events are now OPEN! Do sign up as soon as possible as places are limited and registration closes on the 7th of May at 11am. \nRelay teams can consist of two or three people. For a team of two\, one person will need to do two legs (swim/bike or bike/run or swim/run). Before signing up\, you will need the names and details of your team. \n• Distances: 600m swim\, 18.9km bike\, 5.6km run.\n• At the University of Ghana\, Legon\, starting adjacent the swimming pool (see next page)\n• Registration from 6-6:45am\, by the race start/pool (see next page)\n• Race briefing\, 6:30am\, by race start/pool (see next page)\n• First athlete starts at 7am prompt (staggered swim start) \nRegistration\, Transition\, Start and Finish: Individual and Relay \nThe event will all take place around the University of Ghana\, Legon\, Pool. Only athletes are allowed in the\ntransition area and will be allowed to setup from 6am-6:45am. There will be a Race briefing at 6:30am. \nRegistration will open from 6am to 6:45am. Transition will open from 6am-7am. \nIn your registration pack\, you will receive a swim cap\, race number with safety pins to secure to your clothes\nand your start time. You will need to return your swim cap and your race number at the end of the race to\nreceive your finishers t-shirt. \nOnce registered\, please prepare yourself to race. Within the transition area we expect you to have your bike and run gear (including your own bike and helmet) but not your swim gear (that should be on you and ready for the start). \nThe race begins by the pool. Participants exit along the mats to the transition area. Here\, you need to get on\nyour bike\, complete the bike course\, head back to transition and change into your run gear. After your second\nvisit to transition\, time to complete the run! At the end\, race down the finish line. \nFor relay participants\, there will be a section within transition that team members will have to stand in to\ncrossover\, once a swimmer comes out of the pool and into transition\, tap your cyclist so they can start their\nsection\, once a cyclist comes back into transition\, tap your runner and set them off on their way. \nPlease remember that this is a friendly event\, open to individuals of all abilities so for the more serious amongst you\, play nice!

Be sure to reserve your spots while you still can. \nAbout the organizers \nThe TRI-AMateur Group was started in 2009 by Coach Peter Lau in Putrajaya. It has recently been registered as a No-Profit Club under Majlis Sukan Negara\, and now comprises some 50 athletes\, who train every Saturday and Sunday and also on Public Holidays. It is open to all ages\, and the youngest are children as young as 8.  \nThe main objectives of the group are  \n1) Promoting the sport of triathlon to all ages in Malaysia\, and improving\nthe overall standard in the sport;\n2) Providing guidance to future Elite triathletes; and\n3) Promoting a healthy lifestyle to one and all. \nThe group comprises mainly Malaysians\, but welcomes foreigners residing in Malaysia. It has been enjoying reasonable success in 2013 and 2014\, its athletes decorating most podiums in not only Malaysian but also South East Asian triathlons\, duathlons and aquathlons. DESCRIPTION:Long Course Weekend at Jervis Bay \nJervis Bay will play host to first Long Course Weekend outside of Wales\, the home of the LCW. This unique event lasts three days in October the perfect way to start your season of racing. This fun inclusive format is ideal for clubs\, training groups and families to come along and enjoy the benefits of training and racing together. \nTo kick-off the weekend on Friday evening\, the Long Course athletes have The Jervis Bay Swim Classic to complete – a 3.8km open water swim that takes place at Jervis Bay. The Jervis Bay Swim Classic also has a 1.9km swim\, 1.5km swim and 750\, swim all to correspond with triathlons most popular distances. \nOn Saturday the attention turns to The Ride the River Cycle Classic\, and 180km of undulating countryside that also incorporates 90km\, 40km and 20km events – distances to attract athletes of all abilities. \nTo finish the weekend\, the athletes will complete The Huksisson Run Festival- a 42.2km marathon taking in the beautiful coastline of Jervis Bay and Huskisson. There is also a 21.1km run\, 10km run and a 5km run which allows everyone to be involved. \nMore than 1000 competitors are expected to attend the LCW with approximately 200 athletes attempting to receive the Long Course Weekend medal\, which entails completing all three of the longest distances. Successful LCW athletes will be awarded with the LCW medal and polo shirt at the finish line presentation on Sunday after the marathon. \nPlease note – photographic identification will be required at registration. DESCRIPTION:Swiss City Marathon-Half Marathon-Duo Marathon\nThe SwissCityMarathon – Lucerne is the Marathon in Switzerland and takes place always on the last Sunday in October. The route leads from the Museum of Transport along Lake Lucerne\, around the Horw peninsula\, through the football stadium of FC Lucerne\, back in the city of Lucerne\, through the KKL Lucerne and the old town back to the finish in the Museum of Transport. The next SwissCityMarathon – Lucerne will take place on October 29\, 2017. \nClosing time\nClosing time is 12.15pm for Halfmarathon and 3.00 pm for Marathon and 10k. Runners who do not cross the finish line within the time limit will not be classified. Marathon runners who pass the turning point after 12.00 am have to end the race. The end of the official competition is determined by the broom wagon which is on the move in such a way that he arrives the finish line with the set time limit. Runners who are overtaken by the broom wagon\, have to hand over the bip to the correspondent staff and are no longer part of the official competition. \nTiming\nChips are used for time measurement. The race number must be visibly worn and unfolded on the front. \nIntermediate time\nKilometer 12.5 (Horw)\nKilometer 21.0975 (Halfmarathon)\nKilometer 34 (Horw) \nVictory ceremonies\nHalfmarathon – 11.00h\nMarathon-12.30h\nDuoMarathon – 13.15h\n10k – 14.15h \nThe ceremony is only for the overall winners. \nSecurity Instructions\nInstructions given by the race course personnel must be followed. DESCRIPTION:Mold Sprint Triathlon\nNow in its fourth year the Mold Sprint Triathlon is now a firm part of the early season calendar and is a great test of that hard earned winter fitness.  \nIdeal for both the novice and seasoned triathlete alike with its super friendly atmosphere and stunning location. From the pool based swim\, the bike course takes in the infamous climb of the Rainbow and heads off into the hills.  \nAfter the Rainbow the route runs up to Graianrhyd and then takes in the 3.5 mile descent of Coed Talon before heading back to Mold. Competitors then head out on the 2x 2.5km closed road run before finishing alongside all the action outside the pool and transition.  \nAs ever the event is fully chipped timed with full transition breakdown and fully racked. \nThe Youth/Junior Sprint Tri is a points counting event in the Triathlon England North West series. Cadence Tri offer a substantial discount to TENW series competitors.  \nOnce discounted youth/junior entries are only £20.00.

DESCRIPTION:Spetsathlon 2018\nWelcome to Spetsathlon 2018\, a rich and diverse sporting event featuring a number of happenings and sports activities for runners and other athletes\, in a beautiful route along the periphery of the island. \nParticipating in Spetsathlon 2018 is a great opportunity to enjoy a unique running course of natural beauty\, a route by the sea and through the pine trees\, passing by historical landmarks. Let alone that the weather in Spetses is ideal for a running eve. \nWhat is Spetsathlon\nTriathlon: running\, swimming\, cycling \nRaces\nTriathlon: sprint & endurance running\, swimming\, cycling\n1. Triathlon race\, 2 courses:\nSpetses Triathlon Sprint (750m swim\, 25km bike and 5km run)\nSpetses Triathlon Endurance (1500m swim\, 50km bike and 10km run)\n2. The Bike Race (25 km) – Spetses Island Round \nThe participation includes the following benefits\n– Participation certificate\n– Commemorative medal for participation\n– Commemorative T-shirt\n– Race bag\n– Pasta Party \nHealth coverage\nIn any case all runners participate solely at their own risk. The organisers have no responsibility for whatever happens to the runners related to health issues or owing to lack of a preventive medical check. It is highly recommended that the participants undergo a thorough medical examination before entering the race. The organisers will not ask for medical certificates from any athlete (male and female)\, since they all participate at their own exclusive risk and responsibility (parents or guardians have liability for their children). We will also provide offers for special health check-up for all runners\, and members of their families.  \nAid Stations\nAlong the running route\, there will be stations to support the runners. At the start and finish stations and at the runners’ support stations bottled water and sports drinks will be available to all attendees.  \nAwards\nThe first three winners of the general classification Men and Women will be awarded a medal and a diploma. To all the runners who finish the race a commemorative medal and a diploma of participation will be given.\nThe age categories for men and women\, in both triathlon and bike race\, will be the following: 19-29 / 30-39 / 40-49 / 50-59 / 60-69 / 70 + \nQualification criteria\nTriathlon Race athletes must\n– Be over 18 years of age\n– Submit a medical report by a GP or Cardiologist (issued 6 months before the event at the very most)\n– Wear a helmet during the cycling race.\n– Wear a cap during the swimming race.\n*Participation will not be allowed if the documents requested are not submitted! \nElectronic Timing\nAll participants will be timed by a timing company using an electronic timing system. For this reason\, the runners must wear the timing chip they will receive from the registration centre along with the participation number. Attention: Your time will not be registered and will not be included in the results if you do not have the timing chip attached to your shoe and if you fail to pass over the timing mats. \nRoutes\nEven though the streets of Spetses are of good quality for the first two to three kilometres after the start line\, there are some problematic spots when cycling through the old part of the city. SUMMARY:The Lough Cutra Castle Triathlon
DESCRIPTION:The Lough Cutra Castle Triathlon\nThis first race of the season sets the scene for a competitive and fun series\, hosted within the beautiful grounds and surrounding area of stunning South Galway. What’s more\, the race coincides with a Bank Holiday in the UK and it is also the first weekend of the UK school half term\, making it an ideal break for sporty families. \nAll of the races at Lough Cutra Castle kick-off by launching into an open-water swim in the lake\, transitioning into a bike route which circumnavigates Lough Cutra itself. The half iron gauntlet cycle takes in the beautiful Burren national park. The event offers not only a chance to race but a festival atmosphere with live music\, dancing\, children’s entertainment\, retailers and food. \nAbout Lough Cutra Castle\nThe countryside surrounding Lough Cutra Castle contains evidence of a history dating back to the Irish-Celtic mythology of the Tuatha Dé Danaan. \nOld churches\, cells and monasteries are prolific in the area\, with some of the islands on the lake containing the remnants of stone altars. \nThe history of the actual estate can be traced back as far as 866 A.D. when the ruined church of Beagh was sacked by the Danes and war raged through the district for nearly 1\,000 years. \nThe Castle itself was built during the Gothic revival period and is idyllically situated overlooking the Estate’s 1\,000 acre lake (the largest privately owned lake in Europe)\, home to the open-water swim of the Lough Cutra Castle Triathlon.
