DESCRIPTION:The inaugural Triathlon England Conference aim is to celebrate a fantastic 2019 for our sport and to provide our volunteers\, clubs\, officials\, athletes and event organisers with the appropriate tools and knowledge to play a key role in increasing the number of people participating in triathlon and achieving more. Such participants will be guided to the designated diversion points along the route. For their own safety and to avoid being caught in between live traffic\, participants must follow instructions\n\nRunning  \n\nRunners must wear their race numbers/bibs at the front of their adorned apparel at all times during the run.\nRunners must run on the designated path for the entire route. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.\nPlease take note that all Technical Officials / Marshalls / Volunteers are there to see to the safety and welfare of participants and to ensure that there will be no interruption of unauthorised vehicles / spectators entering the race site during the run course event commences.\n\nCycling  \n\nParticipants must ensure that their Bib Numbers are clearly visible on their adorned apparel at all times.\nCyclists are to keep to the left side of the road unless overtaking and are reminded to observe traffic rules at all times. Overtaking on the left of a cyclist is dangerous and should not be allowed.\nThe helmet must be worn before the cyclist remove his/her bicycle from the bicycle rack and has to stay on the cyclist’s head until he/she has placed his/her bicycle back securely at the allocated spot on the bicycle rack.\nAll participants will have to perform their own repairs if their bicycles should breakdown.\nDistances and durations indicated for all categories of rides are only approximate. The organiser reserves the right to amend such distances and durations should circumstances demand it.\nRoad Bikes\, TT bikes\, Sports Bikes\, Touring Bikes\, Hybrid Bikes\, Mini Velo Bikes\, Folding Bikes\, Mountain Bikes\, Bikes with Drop Handlebars and / or Disc Brakes are allowed.\n\nTeam Relay  \n\nTeam Relay is only open to 16 years old and above.\nThere is only one category for team relay. Participants can form a group of same gender or mixed.\nA maximum of 3 members is allowed for team relay.\nA team of 3 participants joined the event which each participant is responsible for one section\n\nWEATHER POLICY  \nThe Event will be held\, rain or shine\, unless the Organiser determines that conditions are too dangerous. This will be based on a prudent decision made three (3) days before the Event day or on the Event day by the Organiser and local law enforcement officials. If the Event is cancelled due to inclement weather\, there will be neither refunds nor transfers. Both run sections take place on hard compound tracks and feature steady climbs at the outset\, which obviously means you’ll be running downhill to the first transition and the finishing line. SUMMARY:Triathlon Camp Südafrika
DESCRIPTION:Combine training and adventure holiday at TriCamp South Africa. The camp is aimed at any ability type whether you are an amateur athlete\, ambitious recreational athletes or experts alike. \nThe training grounds which is around Stellenbosch Sports University is a ideal training place for triathletes. It has an Olympic 50m outdoor pool\, a 400m running track and a functional gym. \nThe TriCamp South Africa experience includes 13 nights in an apartment with a small kitchen equipped  to prepare breakfast. In the evening\, participants will be taken to restaurants around Stellenbosch to explore the local cuisine. \n \nThe training is divided into three training blocks. In addition to guided bike rides in small groups (maximum 6 participants per guide)\, there are swim training with individual tips for improving the personal crawler technique and running technique units. The sports program is rounded off by sports-specific athletic units (strength\, stretching\, fascia training). There will be 2 lectures on nutrition and training topics. Conversations in the restaurant and at the bar provides ample opportunities to exchange ideas with other participants and trainers about triathlon. \nApart from the training above\, you can choose to follow various program during breaks and or after the training. Among them are Cape Town by day and by night\, a hike to Table Mountain\, a trip to a game reserve\, a wine tasting on the wine farms around Stellenbosch or a tour to the Cape of Good Hope are just some of the tourist highlights that Cape Town has to offer. The city known as East London is a gateway to the popular Eastern Cape tourist routes\, the Sunshine Coast and Wild Coast.  As one of the longest running middle distance races in the country\, the IRONMAN 70.3 South Africa is the official African TriClub Championship and a “badge of honour” race for any true IRONMAN 70.3 athlete. \nThis race offers 65 qualifying slots for the 2020 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Taupō\, New Zealand\, comprising of 40 age group slots plus 25 qualifying slots for the Women for Tri initiative. \n \nThe one-loop 1.9 km (1.2 mile) swim course will begin with an ocean swim in East London’s Orient Beach. Protected by the breakwaters of East London’s harbor\, athletes can expect generally calm and warm waters. The one-loop 90 km (56 mile) bike course with rolling hills will be a challenge. Road closures will allow athletes to safely navigate the course while enjoying the inherent beauty of the landscape. The two-loop 21.1 km (13.1 mile) run course is a flat run with spectacular ocean views. SUMMARY:Challenge Wanaka Aquabike
DESCRIPTION:The Aquabike race is back for 2020. Challenge yourself with a 3km swim and 120km bike. \n  \n\n\nSwim Leg – 3km\nView map \nThe swim course is set for Roy’s Bay in Lake Wanaka \nThe two-lap swim is in the sheltered part of Roy’s Bay in Lake Wanaka within easy view of spectators watching from the shore. The course has a beach start swimming in an anti-clockwise direction with a total of three turn buoys. \nLake Wanaka is the warmest lake in the Southern Lakes and is a popular choice for a large range of water sports each summer. The swim course is in crystal clear water so clean you can drink it. \n\n\n\n\nBike Leg – 120km \nView map \nThe 120km bike is over one lap and takes in two of the alpine lakes in the Southern Lakes region\, with an out and back leg to make up the distance. \nThe course heads out of town winding round the edge of Lake Wanaka towards Mt Aspiring National Park\, reaching the Hospital Flat turnaround point at 17km and heading back to the township. After passing through the main race area and crowds of spectators the course turns left alongside the lake and then up Aubrey Road into Albert Town. Turning left out of Albert Town you’ll then be taken on an undulating ride to Lake Hawea. After a ride along the Hawea lakefront the course heads to Hawea Flat followed by a short climb to the terraces and then a steep descent to the Clutha River.  Before reaching the Red Bridge\, a sharp left hand turn takes you out towards Tarras for 15km where a U-turn takes you back to the Red Bridge. After crossing the Red Bridge you will turn right at Luggate. Competitors will climb to Wanaka Airport and then left onto Mt Barker Road\, winding through beautiful countryside\, onto Riverbank Road and right at Orchard Road for the final 5km downhill and back to transition where you will rack your bike and run 100 metres to the finish. \n\n\n\n\nAid Stations\nAid stations on the bike course will be approximately 20km apart. These will have bike bottles with PURE electrolyte drink or water in them. Peak Fuel bars\, PURE Gels and bananas will also be available from aid stations at all times\, along with hydration from PURE. Coke is available on the final two aid stations. Please make sure you train on these products prior to the race so you know how they work for you – everyone is different. \n\n\n\n\nDrafting\nIf you are caught drafting you will be penalised and/or disqualified as per the Triathlon NZ regulations. SUMMARY:Fire Fighters 2UP Duathlon\,
DESCRIPTION:The EPIC Fire Fighters ‘2UP’ Duathlon is a unique event which takes place in conjunction with Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue. It’s known locally as the ‘start of season social race’ but there’s nothing particularly ‘social’ about the course! The format is simple\, you choose a friend or race partner and stick together throughout the run / bike / run. On the bike you are allowed to work as a pair\, by ‘drafting’ each other\, but not with other teams. The 4 miles trail run is a tough start and end to the race\, with a hilly 25 mile in between\, to make sure you finish with a grimace on your face. It’s a fantastic event\, an awesome atmosphere\, lots of team rivalries and smiles all round.
