SUMMARY:Challenge Taiwan Full
DESCRIPTION:The swim course is set for Flowing Lake in TaiTung.\nThe two-lap swim is in a man-made reservoir with easy views for spectators to watch from the shore. The course starts from a pontoon in an anti-clockwise direction with a total of two turn buoys. The average water depth for most of the course is 2.5m. The swim course is in crystal clear water from a natural spring and mild temperatures. \nThe following rules will apply to the swim:\nWetsuit: to be confirmed at race briefing.\nEvent swim cap: compulsory and is provided at registration check-in. \nTransition 1 (T1)\nExiting the swim course at Flowing Lake\, you will need to collect your T1 (swim to bike) bag and proceed to either the men’s or women’s changing tents. Once you have changed into your cycling gear\, please place all of your swim gear in your T1 bag and leave at the collection point. One of the Volunteers will collect your T1 bag which will be placed at your bike. Bikes will be pre-racked (by you) the day before the race in numerical order. Your helmet must be clipped on before unracking your bike\, and you must proceed on foot to exit T1 and head out onto the bike course. \n  \n\nBIKE – 180km​\n\n \n\nThe 180km bike is set on an undulating two-lap course which heads north between the soaring Carp Mountains and spectacular Pacific Ocean coastline.\nThe course heads out of town over ZhongHua bridge and hits the coast shortly after XiaoYeLiu. After which it continues along Taiwan’s beautiful east coast rolling through Doulan and turning around BaWonWon to head back to TaiTung city to then turnaround for a second lap. \nAid Stations\nAid stations on the bike will be approximately 20km apart. These will have bike bottles with sports drink or water in them. Energy bars\, salty snacks and bananas will also be available from specific aid stations. \nDrafting\nIf you are caught drafting you will be penalized and/or disqualified. Please attend the Race Briefing for clarification on our drafting rules. \nTransition 2 (T2)\nOnce you come to the end of the bike\, you must dismount before you enter T2 and walk your bike to your numbered rack. You must once again collect your T2 bag (bike to run) and proceed back to the men’s or women’s change tents to prepare for the run. Once again\, put all of your cycling gear in your T2 bag and leave it at the collection point where our staff will collect it and place it at your bike after the race. \n\n\nRUN – 42.2km​\n\nThe run combines the cultural heart of Taitung city with the beautiful Pipa Lake Park\, the surrounding tranquil rice fields and orchards and vibrant ocean promenade.\nAid Stations\nAid stations will be positioned approximately every 2.5km on the run. DESCRIPTION:Renamed as the Kendal ‘Castle’ triathlon\, this event will take you round Kendal Castle. This is a great first sprint distance triathlon. \nYou’ll start with a 400m swim in the pool and then transition to your bike for an out and back route which has a timed out neutral zone. Finally\, a 5km off-road run using the route of the old canal for a short distance then onto woodland trails and the grassy slopes up to the Castle ruins before returning to the centre for congratulations and of course your well earned medal. \nIn whole the event is a 400m swim\, 18km road bike and 5km run. SUMMARY:Horwich Pool Triathlon
DESCRIPTION:Horwich Triathlon is known as ‘The Race To The Pike’. It’s one of the oldest triathlon events in the North West\, dating back over 25 years. It starts with a 500m pool swim and then a 40k undulating cycle ride\, but we save the best bit until the end. The 8.6k run climbs all the way to the summit of Rivington Pike\, before descending back to the finish at Horwich Leisure Centre. We have all ability levels taking part\, but it’s not for the faint hearted. It’s a tough challenge\, but that’s what makes the event so popular and whilst the run is brutal\, it’s what makes is iconic. \nThis event is also the EPIC Club Championships\, your club can score points by having more competitors in the event and finishing higher up the ranks. SUMMARY:Horwich Pool Triathlon
DESCRIPTION:Horwich Triathlon is known as ‘The Race To The Pike’. It’s one of the oldest triathlon events in the North West\, dating back over 25 years. It starts with a 500m pool swim and then a 40k undulating cycle ride\, but we save the best bit until the end. The 8.6k run climbs all the way to the summit of Rivington Pike\, before descending back to the finish at Horwich Leisure Centre. We have all ability levels taking part\, but it’s not for the faint hearted. It’s a tough challenge\, but that’s what makes the event so popular and whilst the run is brutal\, it’s what makes is iconic. \nThis event is also the EPIC Club Championships\, your club can score points by having more competitors in the event and finishing higher up the ranks. On May 28\, 2017 Tim Don posted the incredible 7:40:23 finishing time and broke the World record. Many athletes did also break their personal records turning the race into one of the fastest in the world. \nCalled “the place to be” and “a mixture of St. Tropez and Ibiza without the attitude” by the New York Times\, Florianopolis\, Brazil on the Island of Santa Catarina boasts world-class entertainment\, beaches and restaurants. The sun-soaked stretches of coastline in “Floripa\,” as locals affectionately call it\, make up forty-two beaches in total. Athletes lining up for the event will find themselves in a sanctuary for sports\, natural life and tourism from around the globe. \nThe 2.4-mile mass swim start is located at Jurere Internacional Beach – in front of La Serena Restaurant. SUMMARY:Tallington Lakes Triathlon 2020
DESCRIPTION:Race while enjoying the beautiful rural beauty in the East Midlands. \nChoose from a SuperSprint\, Sprint or Olympic distance not forgetting the addition of Tallington Lakes Aquathlon & Aquabike  – race over the Sprint and Olympic distances with just a swim & run OR a swim & bike. \nThe swim is set in one of the beautiful\, clean\, spring fed lakes (Wet suits are optional). Swim to either the first\, second or third boye. The new bike entry / exit out of the venue now completely avoids the busy entrance of the Water Park and now brings you out from the side of the park onto Kings Street. The SuperSprint and the Sprint have a 1 lap course. The Olympic follows the Sprint course over 2 laps. The SuperSprint remains fairly flat\, whilst the Sprint and the Olympic have a little more elevation\, yet still takes in some beautiful scenery. Staying within the private park\, the run follows the road running past the sailing centre with lakeside views.
