DESCRIPTION:What: \nThis is a team event. A team consists of three people only. You must enter your team into one of two disciplines. These are; \n– On Foot (running/walking)\n– Cycling \nYour team cannot mix disciplines (ie if you enter your team ‘On Foot’\, none of your team can cycle and vice versa). \nYou and your team must then see how many kilometers you can clock up between dawn and dusk. For the purposes of making this inclusive to all those around the world\, the start and finish times are set at 06:00 (6am) and 18:00 (6pm)\, wherever you are taking on the challenge. You have 12 hours to go as far as you can. Your total distance will be the sum of the distance covered by all three of your team members. \nExample: \nStefan\, Mary and Jan cover 22km\, 45km and 92km on foot. Their total distance and the one submitted to Ultra X will be 159km. \nWhen: \n #Dawn2Dusk will take place on Saturday 13th March 2021. \nAs this is a truly global challenge we want to ensure that as many people around the planet can take part. The challenge is from dawn to dusk! DESCRIPTION:The 2021 Dartford Bridge Triathlon will take place on the 27th June.\nAs things stand as of now the 2021 race will now be run safely under covid19 rules. This means a competitor will start every 10 seconds. The race is now limited to 200 entries. Due to covid19 and we have had to reduce the size of the race the entry fee will be going up on January the 1st. \nThis will be our first price increase in 12 years. Our registration number is: CC45878. \nOur trust is comprised of 4 trustees who wanted to share their enthusiasm for the outdoors and who recognised a need in the community for adventure-based activities. Our aim is to allow access to the outdoors in a relatively controlled and safe environment. \nTogether we have a combined experience of over 60 years in the outdoor industry\, from managing an outdoor company in Scotland\, to owning one in New Zealand. We have extensive event management experience and have worked the white waters of Venezuela\, Colorado\, New Zealand\, Scotland and lead multi-pitch rock climbing & ice climbing. DESCRIPTION:A challenging Swim\, Cycle and Run weekend at Alderford Lake in the heart of the UK\n\n\n\nDate:\n24-26th September 2021\n\n\nVenue:\nAlderford Lake\, Whitchurch\, SY13 3JQ\n\n\nSwim:\nLake: (Freshwater lake with no currents and no weed)\n\n\nStarts From:\nFriday Swim – from 3pm. Saturday Cycle from 8am. Sunday Run from 8am.\n\n\nDistances:\nFull – 2.4 mile swim – 112 mile cycle – 26.2 mile run \nHalf – 1.2 mile swim – 56 mile cycle – 13.1 mile run \nQuarter – 0.6 mile swim – 28 mile cycle – 6.5 mile run\n\n\nMinimum Age:\nQuarter 16 years \nHalf 18 years \nFull 18 years\n\n\n\n  \nThe Event \nYou can take part in one\, two\, or all three disciplines so as always\, there is something for everyone and the opportunity to take home one\, two or three of the jigsaw medals! \nFRIDAY afternoon is the starting event with the UK ULTIMATE SWIM. Choose from either a 2.4 mile\, 1.2 mile\, or 0.6 mile swim challenge in the fabulous spring-fed\, freshwater lake. \nSATURDAY sees the UK ULTIMATE CYCLE SPORTIVE around the picturesque Shropshire countryside. You can choose the Ultimate 112 miles\, the Half 56 miles\, or the Quarter at 28 miles. \nSUNDAY is the UK ULTIMATE RUN around Alderford and out onto closed country roads. You can go full marathon in the Ultimate 26.2 miles\, Half marathon 13.1 miles\, or the Quarter distance of 6.5 miles. \nThis is a weekend-long swim\, cycle\, and run challenge for all abilities\, from novice to first time\, as well as being a race for the more serious athlete and age group triathlete with prizes and trophies on offer for completing all three disciplines. \nEvery competitor will receive an individual medal for each of the swim\, cycle\, run discipines and those taking on the full ULTIMATE WEEKEND CHALLENGE will receive a commemorative T-shirt. \nThere will be on-site camping (limited spaces)\, free parking\, cafe\, catering\, lake swimming\, paddle boarding\, kids play area\, climbing wall\, and waterpark making it a great weekend for all the family and one not to be missed! \n \n

SUMMARY:Outlaw X 2021
DESCRIPTION:Launched as a celebration of 10 years of Outlaw\, Outlaw X takes competitors in and around the stunning grounds of Thoresby Park. So whether this is your first or fiftieth triathlon\, the atmosphere and picturesque views are something not to be missed\, so come and have fun and break records at the Outlaw X 2021. \nRoute description\nSwim \nStart the event right with a swim in the unspoilt\, private lake within Thoresby Park grounds. Swimmers will start in a waved format with a deep water start as they swim 1.2 miles in a single loop. \nBike \nThe single-loop bike ride takes entrants through stunning Nottinghamshire countryside\, including Walesby Forest and Clumber Park. The highest point of the course comes at mile 51\, with approximately 2000ft of climbing. The rest of the route is host to a few climbs followed by plenty of long\, fast sections. \nRun \nFinally\, it’s onto the run section of the event\, with 2 loops of the off-road course. Undulating in a few sections but with plenty of stunning views of Thoresby Hall\, the course meanders into some private woodlands before heading to the finish line for that photo finish. \nLogistics and schedule\nSaturday \n10:00 – 16:00 Registration opens \nSunday \n07:10 Outlaw X starts \nAll timings are subject to change. \nRace Packs \nRace packs will be posted to entrants before the event. If your race pack does not arrive by the Wednesday before the event\, please contact the event organiser. \nKit List \nWetsuits are compulsory for the event. Sleeveless wetsuits are accepted\, but one must be worn\, or entrants will not be permitted to participate. \nCompetitors can wear standard running or racing shoes. \nCut-off Times \nThere are cut-off times for each section of the event\, which are as follows: \nSwim – 1 hour 10 mins after your wave start\nBike – 5 hours 20 mins after your wave start\nRun – 9 hours after your wave start\nRunners falling too far behind will be asked to stop\, and all entrants must be ahead of the cut-off time at all times during the race. \nElite Entry \nYou need to have evidence of being capable of sub 5 hours if you’re a woman or sub 4:30 if you’re male. \nIf the event isn’t sold out\, you can enter via the event entry system and select ‘elite wave’ during the process. The organisers will review the names in this entry list to ensure that athletes meet the minimum criteria. However\, if the event is sold out\, don’t hesitate to contact the organisers via info@osbevents.com\, and they will do their best to accommodate you if there is space. \nPlease note\, athletes entered in the Elite wave are not eligible for Age Group prizes. \nDrafting \nEntrants are asked not to ride dangerously or draft to ensure all those at the event. If entrants are drafting dangerously\, they will be disqualified or penalised. \nSpectators \nSpectators are more than welcome to support their friends and family at the event. SUMMARY:ULTRA X JORDAN - Ultra Marathon October 2021
DESCRIPTION:Ultra X Jordan (previously the Wadi Rum Ultra) takes place in the land of Lawrence of Arabia. The mystical desert course takes competitors past historic sites\, into dramatic wadis and over magnificent sand dunes. \nWadi Rum’s nickname is “The Valley of the Moon” and participants will quickly see why. Its landscape\, characterised by unique towering rock formations\, is truly mind-blowing\, as is the challenge. As locations go\, this place is unrivalled in its beauty. \nWe are dreaming of the desert! \nDid you know that Ultra X Jordan was our first event? From 2016 to 2018 it was called the Wadi Rum Ultra. In 2017\, Sam and Jamie (the co-founders) met\, Sam was running and Jamie was the Race Director! The two got on and the rest is history! \nHere is why we think you should be joining us this October: \n1) The Course \nOur race course\, which changes slightly each year will take participants on a grand tour of Wadi Rum’s protected region. You’ll pass through canyons\, dried up riverbeds and occasionally over big sand dunes. \n2) The History \nThe desert is steeped in history. Wadi Rum may be best known for its connection with British Army officer T. E. Lawrence aka Lawrence of Arabia\, who passed through several times during the Arab Revolt of 1917–18. \nIf Wadi Rum isn’t enough for you\, the opportunity to visit the Lost City of Petra on the Saturday after the race certainly will be. \nPetra will take your breath away. The area is thought to have been inhabited from as early as 7000 BC and was once a major regional trading hub used by the Nabataean people. For the film buffs among you\, it’s fame was amplified in Indiana Jones\, The Last Crusade \n  \n\n\n\n\nMEDAL RIBBONS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll finishers will receive a race medal.
