SUMMARY:Free Triathlon Training in Ipoh Malaysia
DESCRIPTION:Ipoh\, Perak\, Malaysia is going to have two great international athletes leading workshops and training camps for anyone interested in Triathlon.  Swimming Cycling and Running. \n  \nHi Everyone \nBelow is you’ll find the weekly training structure for our group and others that are bound to join. It will help develop us all for our goals moving forward even if your goal is just to be a healthier happier person J \nThese sessions start TOMORROW and I just want to run you through some key points on the plan. \nThe track session is a key session for the week and will develop your run technique and leg speed\, giving you tremendous pace awareness. The first session TOMORROW is an important session where I will test your aerobic capacity (or your run VO2 max)\, this can be done fairly accurately with a simple time trial and will provide paces which will really help each training phase. If you do own a pace watch PLEASE wear it to each session and I will provide you with your paces that we will be using after our simple test tomorrow. We meet at the polo ground run track (around the pond) at 7am sharp for a 1 hour session. \nSwim sessions are less than I would like at just two 1 hour sessions per week\, we should swim more than this and we eventually will\, but please attend these two sessions if possible and use the techniques learnt in your own sessions. Just pay your public entry fee at 8am to access the outside MBI pool\, PLEASE bring Fins\, Paddles\, Pull Buoy and kick board if you have them and if you do not PLEASE purchase them as you will not be able to participate in valuable drills without them! Head to the pool as quickly as possible so we can get in and secure a centre section of the pool in what is a public session. \nKelly’s Castle TT on Tuesday nights is both fun and a very valuable session we will meet at the Sri Maha Mariamman Hindu Temple next to Kellies Castle https://goo.gl/maps/8yAqnVkHmaE2 I have agreed parking here for all our participants\, but please kindly make a donation at the box inside the temple to show our appreciation for accepting us! These sessions WILL build speed and develop your threshold power through the season\, I can give you pointers on this\, but the fun bit is that all results will be entered onto a league table to provide end of year results which will result in prizes and awards for the most improved and fasted riders as well as some fun awards as well! The league table will be updated and published after each Tuesday evening session. \nAll other sessions are group runs or bike rides where there is no specific coaching but we will work as a team and improve together sharing experience and advice. \nYou may notice there is a Junior bike skills session which Dave Spence has kindly agreed to run\, this still needs final agreement but will be a great session for bike development and I have some good ideas I can share with Dave to make it both fun and beneficial which it’s bound to be!! \nInterim Sessions \n• Track session – Monday 7am (Polo ground or 200m track TBC) \n• Swim set – Tuesdays 8am (MBI public pool) \n• Kelly’s castle Cycling TT – Tuesdays 6pm (Sri Maha Mariamman Temple) \n• Run Easy – Wednesday 7am (Polo grounds park) \n• Bike group – Thursday 6.30am (Tambun McDonalds) \n• Swim set – Friday 8am (MBI public pool) \n• Long Bike ride – Saturday 7am (Public Bank Simpang Pulai) \n• Junior Bike skills – Saturday 5.30pm (location TBC) \n• Long Easy Run – Sunday 7am (Meeting point TBC) \n \n

SUMMARY:ULTRA X JORDAN - Ultra Marathon October 2021
DESCRIPTION:Ultra X Jordan (previously the Wadi Rum Ultra) takes place in the land of Lawrence of Arabia. The mystical desert course takes competitors past historic sites\, into dramatic wadis and over magnificent sand dunes. \nWadi Rum’s nickname is “The Valley of the Moon” and participants will quickly see why. Its landscape\, characterised by unique towering rock formations\, is truly mind-blowing\, as is the challenge. As locations go\, this place is unrivalled in its beauty. \nWe are dreaming of the desert! \nDid you know that Ultra X Jordan was our first event? From 2016 to 2018 it was called the Wadi Rum Ultra. In 2017\, Sam and Jamie (the co-founders) met\, Sam was running and Jamie was the Race Director! The two got on and the rest is history! \nHere is why we think you should be joining us this October: \n1) The Course \nOur race course\, which changes slightly each year will take participants on a grand tour of Wadi Rum’s protected region. You’ll pass through canyons\, dried up riverbeds and occasionally over big sand dunes. \n2) The History \nThe desert is steeped in history. Wadi Rum may be best known for its connection with British Army officer T. E. Lawrence aka Lawrence of Arabia\, who passed through several times during the Arab Revolt of 1917–18. \nIf Wadi Rum isn’t enough for you\, the opportunity to visit the Lost City of Petra on the Saturday after the race certainly will be. \nPetra will take your breath away. The area is thought to have been inhabited from as early as 7000 BC and was once a major regional trading hub used by the Nabataean people. For the film buffs among you\, it’s fame was amplified in Indiana Jones\, The Last Crusade \n  \n\n\n\n\nMEDAL RIBBONS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll finishers will receive a race medal. Different medal ribbons will be awarded based upon the finishing times outlined below. \nAs part of our Sustainability Policy\, the Green Ribbon will be awarded to the competitor that displays the highest commitment to reducing their environmental impact both in preparation for and during the race (as determined by the organisers). \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBLACK RIBBON\n\nUnder 27 hours \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWHITE RIBBON\n\nUnder 30 hours \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBLUE RIBBON\n\nOver 30 hours \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nINCLUDED:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n1. SUMMARY:Adventure Championships 2023 Sprint Triathlon
DESCRIPTION:From the quarries of Llanberis to the spectacular Newborough Forest with a few little hills in between\, this series is something you won’t forget in a hurry! North Wales is the only place in the UK where towering mountains meet crystal clear waters on sandy beaches and freshwater lakes. The distance may be shorter\, but the experience is everything and more. \n\n\n\nSLATEMAN SPRINTWhat a start! The first part of the Adventure Championships\, The Slateman Triathlon\, is the most iconic adventure triathlon in Wales. Starting in Llanberis\, the heart of Snowdonia’s industrial heritage\, this is an unparalleled race which combines stunning scenery with epic challenges. 220 Tri Magazine has listed the Slateman run course as one of the best in the world! \n\n\n\nSNOWMAN SPRINT \n\n\n\nThe second instalment of the Adventure Championships\, the Snowman Triathlon\, is not only the toughest event of the Adventure Championships but also known as the toughest event in the UK. \n\n\n\nThe Snowman encompasses all that the adventure playground of North Wales offers and is infamous for a reason; when you think you’re done\, there is a different challenge you’re not expecting. Exciting\, adrenaline-fuelled and a truly epic and unforgettable experience. \n\n\n\nSANDMAN SPRINTThe final part of the Adventure Championships and a fitting close – the Sandman has been described as the most beautiful triathlon in the race calendar. \n\n\n\nThe race starts and ends in one of Anglesey’s most treasured spots\, the incredible Newborough Forest\, an exclusive 700-ha area of woodland adjacent to the world-famous Llanddwyn Beach. \n\n\n\nOne of the few Triathlons on the calendar with a beach start and sea swim\, your supporters can build sandcastles and eat ice cream whilst you race!
