Register early to get the early Bird price! \nDate: Sunday\, September 1\, 2019 \nStart Time: 7:30 am \nEntry Fee\n$60 – before Thursday June 13th\n$70 – between Friday June 14th – Thursday August 1st\n$80 – between Friday August 2nd – Thursday Aug 29th\n$90 – Race Day (Cash Only. No T-shirts to race day entries) \n*On-line entry ends Thursday\, August 29th at 5:00 pm. After on-line entry closes\, you may register IN PERSON at the Boathouse parking lot on Saturday\, August 31st from 4:30-6:00 p.m. or Sunday from 6:30 – 7:15 am. \nRefund Policy\n• Absolutely no parts of entry fees will be refunded\, transferred or credited.\n• It is prohibited to sell your race number or for someone to compete in your place. \nField\nLimited to first 300 competitors. \n  \nThe format : Run 2.2 miles\, Cycle for 12 miles and then run again for 2.2 miles.\n\nRUN 2.2 mi\nThe  run (2.2 mi.) starts on East Drive at 74th Street\, goes north to a turnaround point at 96th Street (on East Drive) and back along the same route to the transition area. Please do not get in line for check-in if you do not know your race number and have photo ID. \nPacket Pick-Up and Late Registration\nRegistration packet pick-up begins on Saturday\, August 31st from 4:30-6:00 p.m at the parking lot in front of the Central Park Boathouse (74th Street & East Drive). You must show photo ID to receive the packet. Only competitors may pick up their numbers in person with photo ID. You may not pick up a race packet for anyone else. \nPackets will be available on Sunday\, September 1st from 6:30 – 7:15 am at the Boathouse parking lot. New entries will be accepted! (Cash Only. No T-Shirt) \n\n\n\n \n\n\nRACE DAY\nUpon Arrival\n• Know your race/bib number and have your ID ready!\n• Before getting on line to receive your race packet\, place your bike on the bike rack that corresponds to your bib/race number.\n• Proceed to the check-in line that corresponds to your race number. Please do not bring your bike to the check in line. \nSchedule of Events\nPRE-RACE DAY – Saturday\, August 31st\n4:30 – 6:00 pm. Early check-in. Avoid waiting on line next morning. Preview entire course. \nRACE DAY- Sunday\, September 1st\n6:30 – 7:15 am: Check-in. No numbers issued or race packets saved after 7:15!\n7:20 am: Course orientation\, final race instructions\n7:30 am: Race Start (rain\, snow or shine).\n10:15 am: Course officially closes.  Refreshments and awards presentation begins. \nRace Numbers & Electronic Timing\n• Check the label affixed to the timing tag (on the front of your bib number) for correct information regarding your name\, age\, sex and category. Notify officials prior to the race of any mistakes.\n• You must wear the run number on your front\, and be clearly visible to race officials at ALL times.  Folding of race numbers is prohibited.\n• If you enter the transition area or cross the finish line and your number is not clearly visible on your FRONT\,  you will receive a 2-minute penalty.\n• The 2-sided vinyl (adhesive-backed) bike frame number must be attached to the front of the top tube of your bicycle and for security reasons and may not be removed until you leave the leave the transition area.\n• You may not use any chip other than the one that is assigned to you. Wearing any other chip could lead to errors in overall timing and your disqualification.\n• After you finish the event\, you must remove the chip and drop it in the collection bin at the end of the finish line chute.\n• If you lose your chip during the race or fail to turn it in after you cross the finish line\, you will be charged $100 for the lost chip. \nPOST RACE \nResults\nResults will be posted on www.NYTRI.org. \nRefreshments\nRefreshments are for competitors only. Please wear your race number when entering the buffet line. \nAwards Ceremony\n• Awards will be awarded to 1st\, 2nd\, 3rd overall and in 5-year groups; 18-80+ (men)\, 18-70+ (women).\n• Winners must be present at the post-race awards ceremony to receive their prize. No exceptions. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGENERAL RACE RULES\nSafety\nNYTRI has staged over 600 multi-sport events and is proud to claim the best safety record in the country. The following rules and regulations have been designed for your personal safety and enjoyment. Failure to comply with these rules will result in penalties and/or disqualification.\n• Competitors must be familiar with the Competitive Rules of USA Triathlon and must conduct themselves accordingly.\n• No entrants under 18 years of age.\n• It is the contestant’s responsibility to be familiar with and follow the race course.\n• Each contestant is individually responsible for maintenance and repair of their bike.\n• Race management has authority to change race course and format\, check-in and start times at any time. \nTransition Area\nIn order to protect your bike and equipment\, please make sure that only competitors are in the transition area. Family and friends should remain outside of the barriers at all times.\n• Bicycles must be properly placed on assigned racks corresponding to race number.\n• NO riding in the transition area or past the “DISMOUNT” signs.\n• Bikes and equipment may only be removed from the transition area by competitors. BOTH the run number and bike number must be shown to security personnel.\n• Due to heightened security\, all bags/backpacks are subject to be inspected by security personnel upon entering the transition area. \nGET TRANSITION MAP \nBike Rules\n•No recumbent bikes allowed. \nHelmets\n• Riding without a hard-shell helmet will result in immediate disqualification.\n• Penalties will be assessed for unsecured helmet chin straps leaving or entering the transition area.\n• Helmets must be ANSI\, SNELL or USCF approved. \nLane Restrictions\n• Cyclists must stay out of recreation/joggers lane at ALL times. A four minute penalty will be assessed if you enter the restricted joggers lane during any part of the course. This is a safety measure and will be strictly enforced. Police will issue tickets to offenders. \nDrafting Rules\nRiding in a pack and drafting is a serious violation. A distance of three bike lengths from the bike in front of you must always be maintained. You may not be closer than this distance for any period exceeding 15 seconds. If you are\, you will be assessed a 2-minute penalty for each infraction. \nIf another competitor is drafting you\, yell at him to stop drafting. If you wish to file an official complaint regarding drafters\, you must record their race number. A competitor who has three drafting reports filed by other competitors will automatically receive a 2- minute penalty. \nCentral Park Alert\nThe course is only closed to cars (except for official vehicles) but NOT to pedestrians\, joggers\, cyclists\, skaters\, etc. While biking\, competitors must be aware and considerate of non-competitors who will also be sharing the Park roads with competitors. You do not have right of way or priority over other users of Central Park because you are competing in this event.\n• Contestants must follow instructions of race officials and public authorities and must obey all traffic laws.\n• Contestants must ride in designated lanes at all times.\n• Bikes are not allowed inside the Boathouse and must be left in the transition area. \nRace Violations & Penalties\nEach of the following actions will result in a 2-minute penalty:\n• Riding in/out of transition area.\n• Entering/exiting transition area under\, over\, or between barriers.\n• Bicycle not on assigned bike rack or racked incorrectly.\n• Race # not visible at ALL times while competing or in the transition area.\n• Unsecured helmet chin strap leaving or entering the transition area.\n• Drafting or “pack riding” violation.\n• Accepting outside assistance or being paced by non-competitor. \nDisqualification\nEach of the following actions will result in an immediate disqualification:\n• Unsportsmanlike conduct/verbal abuse of a volunteer or race official. SUMMARY:Woburn Abbey Triathlon
DESCRIPTION:One of the UK’s most loved triathlons\, famed for its iconic venue and unrivalled family experience. A weekend of sporting challenge\, family fun and charity fundraising\, the Woburn Abbey Triathlon has so far raised close to £2.5 million for its charity partners. \nEvent venue: Woburn Abbey\, Woburn Park\, Bedfordshire\, MK17 9WA \nJunior Triathlon \nAges 9 to 12 years – 100m Swim\, 3km Bike\, 1km Run \nAges 13 to 15 years – 300m Swim\, 6.8km Bike\, 2.5km Run \nAfter the success of this year’s Junior Triathlon\, tri for life hopes to inspire the next generation of triathletes and fundraisers to join us at Woburn Abbey. \nThe start for the Junior Triathlon will be in the large lake (unless otherwise informed)\, which is a short 20m walk from the transition. However\, we are unable to guarantee this and will update all participants nearer the event day following water treatment and testing. Parents can walk with children to the lake once they have exited transition. \nThe bike and run course are all on closed roads so there’s no worry about traffic. All participants are considered winners for taking part and will all receive a medal. \nScootathlon \n400m Scoot\, 400m Bike\, 150m Run \nThe scootathlon is a mini fun triathlon for children between the ages of 4 and 8 where they scoot\, bike and run. Boys will race with girls at the same time in various age categories. \nThe race begins in front of the Abbey with a 400m scoot (any scooter is suitable) then it’s into transition\, put down the scooter and pick up the bike and cycle the 400m lap. Then it’s back into transition for the last time\, leaving the bike next to the scooter and then out for the final 150m run to the finish gantry in front of the Abbey to collect your medal. \nScooting\, cycling and running will always be in an anti-clockwise direction and all three disciplines must be done wearing a helmet. The course is flat and takes place inside the Abbey grounds for the scoot\, bike and run. \nAbout the Organiser \nTri for Life was founded in 2007 as a registered charity with a simple ambition. Our aim was to provide a fantastic multisport event for participants and their families\, and raise money for charity. To date our vision has paid off\, with increasing demand for the Woburn Abbey Triathlon and\, most importantly\, contributing close to £2.5m for good causes up and down the country. \nThe Woburn Abbey Triathlon is a totally unique event\, set against the stunning backdrop of Woburn Abbey\, with people of all ages and abilities taking part and raising money for charity. We are immensely proud of what we have achieved so far with our fundraising. Any donation\, however big or small\, really has made a difference. Now in our 12th year\, our mission remains the same – to raise as much as possible for good causes. \ntri for life is the brain child of the late Harvey Selby who made it his mission to encourage others to get fit whilst raising money. He realised that although triathlons were one of the fastest growing sports\, an event didn’t exist that combined the triathlon challenge with fundraising. Tragically\, Harvey Selby was diagnosed with cancer in 2008\, and although he saw a video of the first event\, he was not well enough to attend. We will continue to fulfil Harvey’s legacy\, combining family fun\, health and fitness with supporting charities. \nOur partnership with Human Race\, the largest mass participation event organisers in the UK\, enables us to deliver a world class event. Their knowledge and expertise have helped us grow the Woburn Abbey Triathlon to become one of the top multi-sport events in the UK\, and a must-do in the triathlon calendar. \ntri for life is a registered charity (charity no. 1122677) and distributes all profits from its events to other charities.

It will be the first edition for trail running event been held in this area. With a few attractive destinations such as Gunung Angsi and nearby Ulu Bendul Camp\, the route will also traverse through Bukit Putus Old Route. The start and finish venue will be at the Kg Jkin Resort & Extreme Park. This can be a suitable recreation activity like ATV\,MTB\, jungle trekking & camping.\nBPTC2019 is separated into three distance categories\, 21km\, 12km and 6km. This event will consist of ATV Recreation\, Palm oil farm\,camp site and fruit farm and Mount Angsi. Nature trail at Kg Jkin Extreme Park\, which is consist Bukit Putus Trail (Hutan Dara) and Bukit Putus Old Road along the route from Kg Jkin Extreme Park to entrance Mount Angsi and settlements with elevation gain of 800m (+-) respectively. Surely this will be a fast trail race that will get your heart pumping.\nThe 6km category is catered for newbie to beginners who just started trail running or who just want to add some spice in their weekend activity. 6km runners will run in 95% off road trail. Pass thru ATV trail\, Bukit Putus trail\, Palm oil and Fruits Farm. \nThe 12km category catered for beginners to season runners who want to go the distance but not ready for long distance. The 12km is 90% off road trail with extended route until Bukit Putus Old Route (tarmac) and uturn at entrance Mount Angsi to finishing line at Kg Jkin Extreme Park.\nThe 21km category is the main category for season runner who want an adventure. Very suitable for first time ultra-runner (with proper training). 21km runners will experience 95% off road trail. From starting line at Kg Jkin EXtreme Park\, ATV trail\,Palm Oil Farm\, Fruits Farm Trail. One time river crossing\, with a nice view especially at Fruits Farm (Starfresh view of Mount Angsi) and Peak of Mount Angsi trail surely will add to the memories.

SUMMARY:4 Peak Mountain Challenge
DESCRIPTION:The Thule 4Peaks Mountain Challenge is a rugged 24 kilometres (15 mi) mountain skyline route for trail runners\, held every September since 2002 in the Witteberge 32 kilometres (20 mi) NNE of Ficksburg in South Africa’s Free State province near the Lesotho border.. \nA record field of 210 mountain runners tackled the route in 2010. The large number of entrants necessitated a start of 3 batches at 15 min intervals. Ryan Sandes\, the 2010 men’s winner\, set a new record time of 2h 41m 58s. Fit athletes complete the course in about 6hrs with the backmarkers finishing in about 9hrs. \nThis race exists to enlighten all those who think the Free State is that flat part on the N1 on your way to Cape Town.  Come and challenge yourself in with the unique and extreme 4Peaks mountain race.  The race’s home is in the picturesque Moolmanshoek Private Game Reserve.  This unique circle race runs along the tops of the Witteberg Mountain range that makes an unforgettable horse shoe that encloses the Moolmanshoek valley. \nThe race is hosted by the Nel family at Moolmanshoek.  Most athletes make the race a weekend affair with family and friends and added value like a breathtakingly beautiful mountain bike ride the day after the race.  Apart from these two races there are several hikes\, bird hides\, lots of game that can be viewed on horseback\, or from a horse cart or from a 4×4 game viewing vehicle \nThe route rates as extremely demanding\, but is made bearable by spectacular mountain scenery.
