The Oswestry 10k will take place on Sunday 15th\, October 2023\, and the event starts/finish in Church St and loop around the town. An undulating and challenging tight one-lap race starting and finishing in the Town Centre with fully closed roads. These tram stations have designated routecrossing points which allow safe access across the run route. Do not use the Pomona tram station\, as you cannot cross the run route. \n\n\n\nPark & Ride: There are over 100 park-and-ride locations in Greater Manchester. It’s easy to park up and hop on the tram for a hassle-free journey to the event. Madeira is an autonomous Portuguese island and the largest and most populous of the Madeira Archipelago (Porto Santo and the Desertas being the others). \n\n\n\nThe island is an oasis of green\, with incredible natural pools carved out of lava rocks\, gorgeous cliffs overlooking the North Atlantic Ocean and charming towns. It is located in a region known as Macaronesia\, just under 400 kilometres to the north of the Canary Islands and 520 kilometres west of the Kingdom of Morocco. \n\n\n\nTaking part in mid November\, the climate conditions for the race should be temperate\, with lows of around 9°C and highs of 21°C. \n\n\n\nUltra X 50 Madeira takes place on the second day (Sunday) of Ultra X 110 Madeira.

DESCRIPTION:OVERVIEW\n\n\n\n\nBicton College is a  stunning location for a duathlon\, with quiet local roads & trails and ample free parking. \nThe sprint duathlon\, a British Triathlon European qualifier for 2024\, starts with a 5k mixed terrain run. The bike is an anti-clockwise 22K loop on rolling roads. The final run is an accurately measured out & back 2.5K tarmac run on the first half of the 5k run course. If you’re competing in the qualifier\, you must register as a qualifier on the British Triathlon website. \nThe standard distance duathlon begins with a 10 km 2 lap run on tarmac & gravel paths. The bike leg is 43 km and is two laps of our sprint distance bike course on rolling roads. SUMMARY:Farnborough Winter Half Marathon & 5K
DESCRIPTION:Entry for the 2024 Farnborough Winter Half Marathon will open on March 1. There is a limit of 2500 entries in the event. \n\n\n\nEntries sold out in November 2022 for 2023\, so enter early to guarantee your place in the field. \n\n\n\nIn 2023\, the Farnborough Winter Half Marathon once again took place on its traditional date at the end of January. After a brief sojourn as a summer Half in 2021 we really enjoy returning to a winter event permanently again. For those who remember the icy chill conditions of the inaugural event in 2017 or the snow of 2018\, the weather in 2023 was just as cold! There were some phenomenal times\, at the front and all the way down the field: there were four runners (in 2022) under 65 minutes – all inside the old course record – and nearly 200 inside 90 minutes. This year’s race was no different with more extremely fast times across the board! \n\n\n\nFarnborough is generally the first major half marathon of the season so the weather will always be a roll of the dice in January\, but now we know just how fast the route is\, we expect it to be even more popular than usual. The 2024 race is confirmed as a qualifying race for the England Athletics Masters Programme\, giving Masters Athletes an opportunity to earn their England Age Group Masters vest. See here for more details. \n\n\n\nFor those of you not familiar with the route\, it is a fast\, largely flat\, traffic-free course\, starting and finishing at the historic Airship Hangar adjacent to Farnborough Airport. It is the same route as the previous three editions\, taking in a delightful semi-rural circuit which broadly circles Farnborough airport in an anti-clockwise direction. \n\n\n\nFrom its inception in 2017\, the event has been very popular with local runners and those from further afield looking for an early race to test their winter fitness. The main race is limited to 2500 runners and generally sells out early so don’t delay if you are thinking of running. Entries will be closed when we have reached our limit. DESCRIPTION:If you’re looking for a traffic-free 10K in a stunning setting\, then look no further than the Longleat 10K; starting in front of the magnificence of Longleat House\, the race takes in the estates’ private and traffic-free roads\, with only a short excursion of 400m on public highways as you pass the Bath Arms Public House before the final mile downhill to the finish. \n\n\n\nThe route is undulating to hilly\, with a significant climb tackled twice: once soon after the start and the second towards the end. Your reward for that second climb though is the final downhill run along Lodge Drive towards Longleat House and the finish. \n\n\n\nFor children and family or friends\, we welcome you to enter the Longleat 2-Mile Fun Run. DESCRIPTION:A unique\, team endurance swimming challenge for all abilities. Gather a team of between 1 to 8 swimmers and swim for an hour each\, for 24 hours! \n\n\n\nOVERVIEWYou swim as much as you want\, as fast as you want.\n\n\n\nThis event is unique in being a personal/team endurance swimming challenge rather than about speed or distance. It’s also for everyone over the age of 14\, regardless of your ability. It’s not a race\, no one is being timed or tracked. \n\n\n\nHIGHLIGHTS\n\n\n\nTHE GLASTONBURY OF SWIMMINGIt felt like a swimming festival\, like a Glastonbury with open water rather than bands. The community spirit really made it something special. \n\n\n\nUNIQUE AND PERSONALThe event itself is unique in being a personal/team endurance challenge rather than about speed or distance\, and although a few teams clearly wanted to be competitive\, the team was fantastic in promoting the inclusive\, not a race\, message. \n\n\n\nTHE ATMOSPHEREThe atmosphere was brilliant. The nighttime swims really are so special but also getting to swim together as a team was brilliant. The event staff maintained their energy throughout\, which helped when we were flagging. \n\n\n\nSUCH A JOYThe weekend was such a joy to be a part of – seeing all these people come together to do something uplifting and for such an amazing cause creates the best buzz. It’s so relaxed and easygoing\, everyone knows where to be and when\, and it all just runs smoothly. \n\n\n\nCHEER THE NIGHTI loved the camaraderie\, with people cheering on everyone\, even at 2 am. The people were all so lovely\, and it’s such an incredible community to be part of – watching everyone going in for that last hour made me emotional! \n\n\n\nTOP ORGANISATION10 minutes before the hour\, you can start the changeover. It was nice and smooth. The uniqueness is the 24-hour part. I think it’s amazing.

Pass the famous and near-perfect Beaumaris Castle\, then head up towards Llanfaes and complete a small loop before returning the way you came\, taking in the breathtaking views of Eryri\, to finish in Menai Bridge. This partially closed road course is a stunning showcase of some of North Wales’s most beautiful scenery. \n\n\n\n\n10K\n\n\n\n\nThe race starts by flowing downhill through Menai Bridge town centre and along the winding closed road that leads to Beaumaris\, where you find your turn-around point. The route is a closed-road out-and-back course flanked by breathtaking views of the Snowdonia National Park and the Menai Straits.

DESCRIPTION:Continuing the ‘PHOENIX Fridays’ – a series of Friday running events with flexible ‘rock up and run’ start times to suit you\, here’s our ‘Pyjama Friday’ – Thank Phoenix\, it’s Friday!. \n\n\n\nThese events are a little smaller than our weekend events\, and the entry fee is a little less than our standard themed entry\, but with no compromise on our legendary medals. We’ll have a selection of our usual big\, bold\, bright and epic bling for you to choose from at each of the PHOENIX Fridays\, and if there’s a specific medal you’ve been after for a while or one you missed out on from one of our previous events then just drop us an email\, and we’ll see if we can bring that one along for you. \n\n\n\nThe PHOENIX Fridays are a series of our timed events where you choose – from 5km to 10k\, half to marathon to ultra. You can complete as many\, or as few\, laps as you like of a 5.3km\, 3.28 mile\, out and back\, course along the beautiful river Thames. We welcome all abilities of runners – complete one lap\, and you’re both a finisher and a winner in our eyes or keep going and see how far you can get in the full time limit and everyone gets a fabulous bespoke finishers’ medal from our awesome selection. \n\n\n\nNot sure? Well\, the beauty of this format is that you don’t even need to decide in advance � simply come and run a lap and see how you feel on the day and keep on going if it feels right. \n\n\n\nPlaces will be strictly limited\, so don’t leave it too late to enter. \n\n\n\nMinimum distance is 3.28 miles or as far as you can go in 7 hours. Off the road trail\, the terrain is a riverside towpath. The overall course has no elevation gain/loss making this a flat and fast route. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe provide a physical running service and by entering our events\, you are purchasing an actual run\, either by attending our events or by running the event virtually yourself. All participants in our events\, both attended and virtual\, will receive a free giveaway medal/memento from your run.

DESCRIPTION:The Brynkinalt Running Festival brings together an active community of people taking part in sporting events for reasons ranging from fitness\, competition\, charity\, health\, fun\, or to simply finish. The participants vary of all ages and all abilities of trail runners. \n\n\n\nThe festival offers runners the chance to run 5k (approx) and 10k (approx) in the amazing surroundings of the Brynkinalt Estate. We will have music playing and a help desk for any last-minute questions. Please take note the parking area is on a private estate so please be respectful and stick to the runner’s area in front of the hall. \n\n\n\nRace Experience\n\n\n\nWe are keen to ensure that everyone\, regardless of their ability enjoys the day. We aim to have 1 water station halfway around the 10k route and by the start and finish area for all runners. Please can we encourage you to bring a suitable bottle to run with. At the finish line we will give you your medal and let you enjoy the festival in the stunning surroundings. We don’t advertise the route due to this being on private land\, we need to respect the landowners’ wishes.

SUMMARY:Moo-rathon\, Calf and Hen K at the Farm
DESCRIPTION:Our first outing to this beautiful venue in Hertfordshire. Come and join us at our exclusive venue at Hyde Hall Farm\, SG9 0RU \n\n\n\nAt our Moo-rathon\, Calf and Hen K\, you will join like-minded runners doing different distances. Options include 10k\, Half Marathon\, Full Marathon or Ultra Marathon. \n\n\n\nThere is a six-hour event cut-off\, (if you start at 9am\, and 4hour event cut off if you start at 11am) . The route starts in the base camp of Hyde Hall farm and encompasses the beautiful grounds around it. \n\n\n\nYou may be completing your first official 10k\, Half Marathon\, Full Marathon or even ultra-marathon\, or it may be your 100th or 1000th. The location is pretty self-contained\, making this an intimate event with us having exclusive use of the main area and plenty of open space. \n\n\n\nThere will be a water aid station located at the lap point\, so no stress of having to carry lots of food\, water or equipment. \n\n\n\nParking is also included and secure on-site. \n\n\n\nWe will have a parking attendant showing you how to park who will assist in directing you to the start point to collect your race number. \n\n\n\nUpon entry\, you will receive an email confirmation from your entry portal and Zig Zag Running. \n\n\n\nThere will be a Bespoke medal for the event\, which you will receive at the end of the race.
