DESCRIPTION:The event takes place on the magnificent closed road circuit surrounding the 2012 Olympic velodrome in the Velopark\, Stratford. \nThe purpose built circuit is 1mile in length. The first waves (TS1\,) will start at 12:30pm. \nThe event format of run-bike-run. \nTriStar 1 (9-10 years) 600m run (1 laps\, some inclines) / 3.2km bike (2laps some inclines) / 600m run (1 lap\, some inclines). \nTriStar 2 (11-12 years) 1.2 run (2 laps\, some inclines) / 4.8km bike (3 laps some inclines) / 600m run (1 lap\, some inclines). \nTriStar 3 (13-14 years) 1.6km run (1 lap some inclines) / 8.0km bike (5 laps some inclines) / 600m run (1 lap\, some inclines). \nYouth (15-16 years) 1.6km run (1 lap some inclines) / 8.0km bike (5 laps some inclines) / 600m run (1 lap\, some inclines). \nTriStar  (8 years) 400m run (some inclines) / 800m bike (2 laps flat) / 200m run (some inclines). \nThe event is chip timed with medals for all participants.. \nThe event is open to all ability levels and is both an ideal venue for your first duathlon. \nThere are changing and showering facilities as well as cafes on site. Providing the backdrop to the event is the London Aquatic Centre (used for the 2012 Olympic swimming events)\, the 2012 athletics Stadium and the ArcelorMittal Orbit and the vast Westfield shopping centre.

DESCRIPTION:All participants will receive: \n\nFinisher’s medal\nRunning T-shirt\nFinisher’s T-shirt\nFinisher’s Certificate which can be obtained online\nGoodie bag\n\nThe Age Categories: \n\nOpen Category – all male and female participants must be a minimum of 18 years as of 7 May 2017\, i.e. born before 7 May 1999.\nVeteran Category – all male and female participants must be a minimum of 40 years as of 7 May 2017\, i.e. born before 7 May 1977.\n\n  \nMarathon route \nAt the start\, keep calm and head out passing two roundabouts. Turn left at Jalan Tun Fuad Stephen. This is a coastal road trip that brings you towards the Bunga Raya roundabout. Make a right then left at Jesselton Point and head towards Suria Sabah. Run pass that and continue to head to Wawasan Plaza traffic lights. Turn left at Jalan Kemajuan and head up the flyover to Jalan Tuaran. Run pass Sunny Garden towards Likas\, and continue on for 5 kilometers until you reach KK’s new flyover. \nTurn right before the flyover and run along Jalan Tuaran Bypass towards Jalan Sepanggar traffic light. Continue on passing the BCCM Sepangar Church. Run ahead and enter Jalan PLKN Kem Tanaki on your left\, then make another left near Jalan Sulaman Sentral. Now turn right and enter Jalan UMS. Run along Jalan UMS and turn right to enter University Malaysia Sabah (UMS). At UMS\, run towards the big roundabout\, turn right\, go up the hill (yes\, you read correctly)\, and another right turn at the junction towards the UMS mosque. Run downhill briefly. Head straight then turn left at a major junction and run pass the UMS stadium (on left). Go up a hill then down\, make a left at the big roundabout and exit UMS. \nTurn right and run towards the scenic coastal road at Jalan Tun Fuad Stephen. You’re now on your way to the finish line back at the Likas Stadium. You deserve a pat on your back and more. Take a selfie and post it! Congratulations! \n  \nThe first marathon in Sabah was held in 1984 and it was called the Daily Express Sabah Marathon. The next marathon was held 23 years later in 2008 and it was called the Borneo International Marathon (BIM). BIM was organized by Championship Sport Events Sdn. Bhd.\, helmed by Mr. Andrew Voon as the Race Director as well as the person instrumental in organizing the Borneo International Marathon. The first BIM had three categories\, 10km\, 21km and 42km and was participated by a mere 529 runners. \nOn June 18 2011 the running community was deeply shocked and saddened by Andrew’s sudden demise. To continue with his legacy and the event\, his running group successfully registered a running club called the Kinabalu Running Club (KRC)\, which has undertaken the task of organizing the next Borneo International Marathons.

DESCRIPTION:Run 3miles  (4.82km) \, Bike 15miles (24.14km) \, Run 2miles (3.21km) \nEvent Overview\nThe event takes place on the magnificent closed road circuit surrounding the 2012 Olympic velodrome in the Velopark\, Stratford. \nThe purpose built circuit is 1mile in length. Depending upon entry number there could be two waves: Wave 1 registration from 09:30am\, Wave 2 registration from 13:00pm \nThe event format of run-bike-run\, starts with with a 3mile (3 lap) first run then a 15mile (15 lap) bike section before finishing with a 2mile (2 laps) final run. \nThe event is chip timed with medals for the places in 16-19years\, 20-39years\, 40-49years and 50+years age bands. Each particicpant will get a T-shirt as part of the entry fee. \nThe event is open to all ability levels and is both an ideal venue for your first duathlon whilst at the same time provides a challenge for the more experienced duathletes and triathletes. \nThere are changing and showering facilities as well as cafes on site. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the annual Island Charity Swim\, held on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland. \nEvent briefing will be held on Tuesday\, 2nd of May at Alexandra Headland Surf Lifesaving Club at 6pm. \nThe Island Charity Swim is a test of endurance for the participants and a major fundraiser for the amazing and inspirational children at the Nambour and Currimundi Special schools. \nIt is a unique challenge\, not only for a very worthy cause but its completion guarantees your inclusion in swimming folklore\, an exclusive club reserved for those who meet the sponsorship requirements and complete the course. \nThe swim is 11km from Mudjimba Beach around Mudjimba Island (Old Woman Island) to Mooloolaba Beach. \nPlease note this is an open ocean event with a course that that takes swimmers approximately two kilometres off shore. \nElite swimmers in flat favourable conditions have finished the course in two hours\, however it can take up to four hours to complete. DESCRIPTION:Legon Sprint Series\nThe Legon Sprint Series is hosted and organized by the Ghana Triathlon Federation amd is set to take place on the 14th of May 2017. \nRegistration closes on May 7th 2017. \nThis event will feature the usual sprint format with both individual and popular relay options. The event is\nfree in a bid to encourage athletes\, wannabe athletes\, men\, women\, boys and girls (ages 16\nand above)\, swimmers\, cyclists\, runners\, professionals\, amateurs and beginners to join in on the fun. \nPlease do come along\, to race or to spectate. \nDetails \nEntries for the Individual and Relay events are now OPEN! Do sign up as soon as possible as places are limited and registration closes on the 7th of May at 11am. \nRelay teams can consist of two or three people. For a team of two\, one person will need to do two legs (swim/bike or bike/run or swim/run). Before signing up\, you will need the names and details of your team. \n• Distances: 600m swim\, 18.9km bike\, 5.6km run.\n• At the University of Ghana\, Legon\, starting adjacent the swimming pool (see next page)\n• Registration from 6-6:45am\, by the race start/pool (see next page)\n• Race briefing\, 6:30am\, by race start/pool (see next page)\n• First athlete starts at 7am prompt (staggered swim start) \nRegistration\, Transition\, Start and Finish: Individual and Relay \nThe event will all take place around the University of Ghana\, Legon\, Pool. Only athletes are allowed in the\ntransition area and will be allowed to setup from 6am-6:45am. There will be a Race briefing at 6:30am. \nRegistration will open from 6am to 6:45am. Transition will open from 6am-7am. \nIn your registration pack\, you will receive a swim cap\, race number with safety pins to secure to your clothes\nand your start time. You will need to return your swim cap and your race number at the end of the race to\nreceive your finishers t-shirt. \nOnce registered\, please prepare yourself to race. Within the transition area we expect you to have your bike and run gear (including your own bike and helmet) but not your swim gear (that should be on you and ready for the start). \nThe race begins by the pool. Participants exit along the mats to the transition area. Here\, you need to get on\nyour bike\, complete the bike course\, head back to transition and change into your run gear. After your second\nvisit to transition\, time to complete the run! At the end\, race down the finish line. \nFor relay participants\, there will be a section within transition that team members will have to stand in to\ncrossover\, once a swimmer comes out of the pool and into transition\, tap your cyclist so they can start their\nsection\, once a cyclist comes back into transition\, tap your runner and set them off on their way. \nPlease remember that this is a friendly event\, open to individuals of all abilities so for the more serious amongst you\, play nice!

SUMMARY:South Downs Trail Marathon
DESCRIPTION:Trail Marathon Events In London\nIn what seems just a few short years\, although actually it is now 11\, the South Downs Marathon and Marathon Relay have become classics on the Trail Running calander – which is not surprising when you look at the fantastic scenery on the route. \nIn 2012 we launched a half marathon as well\, giving a wide range of options and turning the day into a festival of running – and with spectators and participants staying all day and enjoying picnics on the grass at the finish under Butser Hill this really does feel like a festival. \nMarathon  \nStarting at Slindon College at 9.30am the full marathon runners follow a route up onto the South Downs through woodland reaching the South Downs Way at 5.5 miles\, then running west back to the finish at Queen Elizabeth Country Park. The free buses to take marathon runners to the start will depart from QE Park with the full marathon runners between 7 and 7.45am. \nDrink stations: 5.5\, 7.5\, 13\, 17\, 20\, 23 Miles. Gels at 13\, 20 Miles \nMarathon Relay \nThe Relay starts at Slindon College at 09.00am. There are 4 legs and teams should comprise of 4 runners. Incomplete teams can run but will not count for prizes. Teams are responsible for getting team members to the start of each leg. \nApprox distance of each leg: 7.2\, 5\, 7\, 6 Miles. \nHalf Marathon \nStarting at Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Petersfield the half marathon follows a route through the Country Park then across fields to the Village of Chalton before picking up the Sussex Border Path\, bringing you to the South Downs Way. The route then joins the Full Marathon route running west for 4 miles on the South Downs Way back through QE Park to the finish. \nFamily 5km Trail Fun Run \nTaking in the first part of the Half Marathon route through Queen Elizabeth Country Park the route turns back after a sharp hill at around 1.75 miles and drops down through the trees and back to the start area. DESCRIPTION:Safaricom Marathon 2017\nThe 17th annual Safaricom Marathon and Half Marathon takes place at the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy\, Kenya on Saturday\, June 24th\, 2017. \nTusk’s Safaricom Marathon and Half Marathon allow participants from all over the globe to compete in an internationally acclaimed event whilst running through one of Africa’s most breathtaking wildlife conservancies.  \nAlthough regarded as one of the toughest marathons in the world\, runners of all abilities take part — from walkers and amateurs to professionals like Paul Tergat\, the Kenyan former world record holder.  \nAs a result\, the event has grown to become one of the country’s major sporting events and is regarded by Runner’s World as one of the world’s top ten “must do” marathons. \nDistance\nThere are three race categories; The Full Marathon\, Half Marathon and Children’s 5km Race. The course is set on dirt roads that take the runners on a 13 mile route through the conservancy — across savannah plains\, along river banks and through acacia woodland. Half Marathon runners complete one loop of the course\, Full Marathon runners\, two. \nAge Limit\nYou must be 18 or older to enter the Full or Half Marathon. There are two age categories for the Children’s 5km Race – 10 to 13 and 14 to 17 (inclusive). \nBib & Chip Timing\nEach runner will be given their bib upon arrival at Lewa. Your bib number and color determines whether you are a full or half marathon runner as well as whether you are male or female. \nPlease ensure your number is fixed to your FRONT of your shirt with the four safety pins provided. Please complete the medical/contact information on the back of your running number\, as this will help the organisers in the event of an emergency. \nYour bib is fitted with a chip timing device which will record your race time when you cross the mat at the finish line. Your chip is programmed to your running number and entry information. \nPlease be sure not to damage the chip when you fasten your running number to your shirt. \nWildlife Safety\nThe race is run on a game reserve and animals will be seen during the race. When running stay on the designated course and only use the official toilets if required. The course will be patrolled at all times and there will be armed rangers located around the course. A helicopter and Supercub light aircraft monitor the movements of the large species during the race. \nMedical Support\nWater stations and first aid points are situated every 2.5km around the course. Each water station is equipped with basic first aid to help with minor medical complaints such as blisters. There will be a member of the red cross based at each water station.\nA helicopter is on standby to collect any runner who needs urgent medical attention and to take them to the AMREF tent at the finish. Should anyone require further medical treatment\, fully equipped planes are on standby evacuation to Nairobi. \nThere is a Recovery Tent located at the finish for basic medical treatment (and massage) which is available for all runners. The recovery tent is manned by doctors\, medics and physiotherapists \nThere will be a Red Cross ambulance situated in the finish area as well as three ambulances around the course. \nAn annual subscription to AMREF Maisha Bronze scheme is included automatically in your registration fee. This subscription allows up to two air evacuations within Kenya annually in case of a medical emergency. Please note this is NOT medical insurance and will only cover the cost of evacuation by air ambulance. All runners are required to have full medical insurance. The event will not be liable for any medical costs beyond air evacuation. \nWater Stations\nThere will be frequent water stations on your race route (every 2.5km). An isotonic drink\, as well as oranges and bananas will be provided at every water station for full and half marathon runners as well as at the finish.\nThere will be misting stations situated at water stations 4\, 5 and 9. \nTime Limit\nIn the interests of safety\, we impose a time limit for those attempting the full marathon.  Based on an expected finishing time of seven hours\, we do not allow anyone to start the second lap unless they have completed the first 20km in under 3hrs 20mins.  We also reserve the right to pull runners off of the course on the second lap at the Race Referee’s discretion. \nPrizes\nUpon completion of the race\, each runner is presented with a medal and goody bag. Prizes for race and age group categories are awarded at a prize giving ceremony at 12.30pm. \nEntrance Fee\nThe entry fee for the Full and Half Marathon is $250. Your place will only be reserved once full entry fee payment has been received. \nIn addition\, there is a minimum fundraising requirement of $1\,500 per person due before race day. \nThe entry fee for the Kids 5km Race is $150. \nThere is no fundraising requirement for children\, although we encourage everyone to do what they can to raise funds and awareness for the cause.

Collection of T-Shirt & Wristband \n– Collection of event T-Shirts and Wristband at the Bargain Corner 1 Utama Shopping Centre (New Wing) held on 1st July\, 2017 (Saturday) 11:00am to 5:00pm. \n– Kindly bring your registration receipt as proof of registration – printed copy or soft-copy on mobile phone also acceptable. \n– Strictly NO collection held on the event day itself\, you can ask your friend to collect on behalf by passing him/her your registration receipt. \n– Please bring along your own recycle bag for group collection. Go Green! \n– There shall be no size exchange allowed during the collection day. The organisers will try to fulfill the T-shirt sizing indicated by participants on the entry form. Starting Point \n– The starting point will be at Central Park Bandar Utama\, Dataran Bandar Utama. \n– All runners must be at the starting line at 7:00am\, with flag-off at 7:30am. \n4. Route \n– Please refer to the route online. \n– Please follow the directions given by officials along the route at all times. \n– Due to traffic conditions\, there will be a time limit for all participants. A sweeper vehicle may be utilized to pick up all remaining runners who the organisers feel may not complete the event within the stipulated time. \n– If any participant does not wish to enter the sweeper vehicle when instructed\, then he/she is deemed to be no longer a part of the event and their safety will not be the responsibility of the organisers. They will not be qualified for medal and eCertificate. \n5. Finishing Point \n– The finishing point will also be at Central Park Bandar Utama\, Dataran Bandar Utama. \n– Upon completion\, participants are required to show their wristband in exchange for medal at their respective counters. \n– Only finishers who complete within the stipulated time shall be provided with finisher medal. \n– Finisher medals are required to redeem on the event day itself\, failure to collect on the same day shall be consider as forfeited. \n– Please do not crowd the finishing area and make your way to the drink / rest areas as soon as possible. \n6. Time Limit \n– The time limit is 1.5 hour. \n7. Withdrawal \n– Any participant who wishes to withdraw during the event is required to hand in their wristband to any official along the route. \n8. Medical Advice \n– As a precaution\, all participants are advised to undergo a check-up one month prior to the date of the event. \n– Medical assistance where possible\, organisers shall attempt to have medical teams along the route. However\, participants are requested to take care of their own safety before\, during and after the event. \n– In the event that participant requires medical assistance\, please seek the help of the nearest official. \n9.
