SUMMARY:Squirrel Challenge 2025
DESCRIPTION:Event Summary:\n\n\n\n\nFriday\, January 24\, 2025\n\n\n\n9:00 AM  3:00 PM\n\n\n\nDaventry Country Park\, NN11 2JB Welton United Kingdom\n\n\n\n\nWhere is it?\n\n\n\nDaventry Country Park (NN11 2JB) is run and managed by West Northamptonshire Council. The What 3 Words location is here. \n\n\n\nParking costs between £2-8 depending on how long you stay. There is a cafe and toilet block on the route. \n\n\n\nThe County Park has a large car park\, cafe and children’s play area. It’s 20 minutes from M1 Junction 16. The closest train station is Long Buckby. \n\n\n\nWhat’s a 6-hour event?\n\n\n\nI’ve made a short video here to try to explain a little. \n\n\n\nIt is an event that enables all abilities of runner to run together (or hike/walk!). Ultimately you can run as many 5k laps as you wish in the time limit. You can run one lap in 20 minutes\, pick up your medal\, flapjack and beer and go home! Alternatively you can head out on your 15th lap at 14:55 and finish in 6:30 having covered over 50 miles! It’s completely up to you. \n\n\n\nThere is no pressure from us\, but we’ll also see if you want one more lap! The format is great for people looking to run further than they’ve ever done before\, do a long training run for future events or to enjoy a sociable event with your friends. \n\n\n\nCan I run with my dog?\n\n\n\nYes!! \n\n\n\nWe’ve had great success at events with canicross and we’re pleased to add this event too. You must keep your leads short and be considerate of the other runners. We’ll most likely start the canicross runners off with the main field depending on numbers. \n\n\n\nCourse description\n\n\n\nThe majority of the course is on relatively new crushed stone and so unless the weather has been awful it should be good running for the majority of the route (around 80% of the route). \n\n\n\nThe final route will be decided in the autumn due to new sections of country park being opened. The plan is to use these new sections. The course will be on pathways throughout\, however\, so although your trainers won’t be clean (it’s in January\, after all!)\, you won’t be thigh-high in the mud either! \n\n\n\nWhat does it cost?\n\n\n\nWe operate a tiered pricing approach. The earlier you enter\, the cheaper the event but never ever will you pay a booking fee! \n\n\n\nBefore 01/01/2025 £35 \n\n\n\nAfter 01/01/2025 £40 \n\n\n\nUnaffiliated entrants pay £2 extra. Why not join your local running club or sign up the Big Bear Brigade and save 10% off entries for ever! \n\n\n\nHow far is the race?\n\n\n\nYou decide! The 3.3-mile off-road loop means your race can be just over 5k or even over 80K and anywhere in between. You decide how many laps you’re going to do on the day within the 6-hour time limit. If you’re looking to cover a marathon distance you’ll need to complete 8 laps and a half marathon will be 4 laps. \n\n\n\n(NB. The course distance will be confirmed in the autumn along with the exact course as per the course description block) \n\n\n\nHas the event been run before?\n\n\n\nYes. We’ve run at Daventry Country Park many times in the past. You can view previous results and the course records here. \n\n\n\nI’m unsure what to expect at a 6 hour event?\n\n\n\nWe’ve made some videos to try and help newcomers understand Big Bear Events and 6 hour events a little more here. We’ve got lots of videos on our You Tube channel that might help you see what we’re all about!. \n\n\n\nI’ve heard you do nice medals. What will it look like?\n\n\n\nOnce it’s in our hands\, we’ll share the design with you! \n\n\n\nI’m not that fussed by a medal…\n\n\n\nIn that case our partnership with Earth Runs will be perfect! Rather than give you a medal you don’t really want (and to help reduce waste) we’ll give you a Big Bear Tree Token. Not only will a tree be planted for each token given out but the token is also full of wildflower seeds for you to grow at home! \n\n\n\nIs this event suitable for Rucking?\n\n\n\nDefinitely! Read all about how we do rucking here (or if you’ve no idea what rucking is find out here too!) \n\n\n\nIs there a gpx of the route?\n\n\n\nOnce the route is confirmed it will be here. \n\n\n\nThe route may be subject to last-minute changes\, and there will be plenty of markings up on race day\, so you do not need to have this – but I know some of you like to anyway! \n\n\n\nI really want to take part in the event but the day isn’t convenient for me! What can I do?\n\n\n\nWe’ve partnered with our friends at Skamper to offer On-demand events! It’s not quite the same as being there on the day but it’s the next best thing! Using the Skamper app you can be directed around the route on your chosen day. When you sign up we’ll send you the medal in the post that was given out on the day of the event. This way\, when you finish\, you’ll be able to claim the medal you’ve earned for the run straight away! Why not load your car boot with snacks and goodies\, get some mates to join you and have your own Big Bear event? \n\n\n\nI still have questions…\n\n\n\nThen why not join our Big Bear Events Facebook group and ask our ever-so-experienced runners in there or email us directly here? We want you to enter with the confidence you’ll have a great (if not tiring!) day so are happy to answer any question we’ve not covered off her

SUMMARY:Farnborough Winter Half Marathon
DESCRIPTION:In 2024\, the Farnborough Winter Half Marathon once again took place on its traditional date at the end of January\, but it has nowbeen moved to February 2025 this year. For those who remember the icy chill conditions of the inaugural event in 2017 or the snow of 2018\, in 2024 things seemed to calm down\, although not as icy it was certainly more windy. There were some phenomenal times\, at the front and all the way down the field: there were four runners (in 2022) under 65 minutes – all inside the old course record – and nearly 200 inside 90 minutes. This year’s race was no different with more extremely fast times across the board! \n\n\n\nFarnborough is generally the first major half marathon of the season so the weather will always be a roll of the dice in February\, but now we know just how fast the route is\, we expect it to be even more popular than usual. The 2025 race is confirmed as a qualifying race for the England Athletics Masters Programme\, giving Masters Athletes an opportunity to earn their England Age Group Masters vest. See here for more details. \n\n\n\nFor those of you not familar with the route\, it is a fast\, largely flat\, traffic-free course\, starting and finishing at the historic Airship Hangar adjacent to Farnborough Airport. It is the same route as the previous three editions\, taking in a delightful semi-rural circuit which broadly circles Farnborough airport in an anti-clockwise direction. \n\n\n\nFrom its inception in 2017 the event has been very popular with local runners and those from further afield looking for an early race to test their winter fitness. The main race is limited to 3000 runners and generally sells out early so don’t delay if you are thinking of running. Entries will be closed when we have reached our limit. Since it helps with our planning we incentivize you to enter early: \n\n\n\nPrices\n\n\n\nEarly Bird Next 1000 entries (or up to September 30\, 2024 at the latest). UKA Affiliated £33 Non Affiliated £35 \n\n\n\nStandard EntryUntil the event reaches its limit of 3000 entries. UKA Affiliated £38 Non Affiliated £40

DESCRIPTION:Event Summary:\n\n\n\n\nFriday\, March 7\, 2025\n\n\n\n7:00 PM  9:00 PM\n\n\n\nSalcey Forest\, NN7 2HX\n\n\n\n\nWhere is it?\n\n\n\nSalcey Forest is a Forestry Commission site with a cafe and toilets near Northampton. Use the post code NN7 2HX for Sat Navs. You do have to pay to park (£2 for the evening at the time of writing). That said\, be a hero and car share\, save money and the world! It is 18 minutes from Northampton and 9 minutes from Junction 15 of the M1. The closest train station is Northampton If you want to see what the venue is like watch the venue preview here. \n\n\n\nWon’t it be dark? We hope so! You need a head or chest to torch to run in this event. No torch no run. \n\n\n\nOur friends from Petzl will be with us so you can test out the best head torches around on the night. If you’ve got a cheap headtorch from Amazon\, you’ll be able to tell the difference immediately. We’ll have more to announce on this closer to the event. \n\n\n\nWho are Petzl?\n\n\n\nPetzl are the industry leader in high-quality head torches. We’re very lucky to be hosting some of their “Night Runner” events. We’ve got 1 at Cannock Chase Forest and 2 at Salcey Forest this winter. There is a reason the top ultra runners in the world use their head torches\, when you need the trail lit up they are simply the best. When trail running at night you want to make sure youyr head torch won’t let you down and your Petzl won’t. \n\n\n\nThey’ll be at the event with their demo kit for you to try on before\, during or after the event. Can I run with my dog? Yes!! \n\n\n\nWe had canicross at our series last year and it was a great success. We request that your dog be lit up (lights on it’s harness rather than wrapping the dog in Christmas lights!)\, you keep your leads short and be considerate of the other runners. We’ll start the canicross runners off a couple of minutes before the main field. Please read our general canicross rules here. \n\n\n\nWe’ll confirm the exact timings for this closer to the event but it is likely the canicross start time will be around 18:50. Please make sure you enter the Canicross race when you click on the enter button above. \n\n\n\nCourse description\n\n\n\nGround conditions will depend very much on the weather closer to the event. It is fundamentally on crushed stone however with tree detritus the ground can become a bit slippy and mucky. The route is fully marked and essentially a 2 lap course. Salcey Forest is fundamentally flat – but any sort of uphill on a 10k feels like a mountain! \n\n\n\nWhat does it cost?\n\n\n\nWe operate a tiered pricing approach. The earlier you enter\, the cheaper the event but never ever will you pay a booking fee! \n\n\n\nBefore 07/02/2025 £16 & After 07/02/2025 £21 \n\n\n\nUnaffiliated entrants pay £2 extra. Why not join your local running club or sign up the Big Bear Brigade and save 10% off entries forever! Enter all 3 parts of the series for only £43/£49 up until the first event at Cannock Chase Forest closes for entry. \n\n\n\nHow far is the race?\n\n\n\n10k! This might seem a bit pointless to mention given the name but this is different to a normal Big Bear Event. You’ll get the same love\, a medal and some goodies but you can’t run all night! \n\n\n\nI’ve heard you do cupless events?\n\n\n\nYes\, but not for this event. Unlike our other events we will have some biodegradable cups with water/electrolyte available on the course and we will have hot drinks available before and after too. If you have a foldable cup you can bring\, even better but we don’t insist on it for our short races. \n\n\n\nHas the event been run before?\n\n\n\nYes! We’ve won multiple Racecheck Gold Awards for these events and have over 150 reviews scoring us at 4.8 out of 5! Albeit under our previous name for these events. Different name\, same great event – you’ll love it!

SUMMARY:TrailFest - Salcey Forest
DESCRIPTION:What is TrailFest?\n\n\n\nIt’s a day of moving around wonderful woodland for all abilities\, speeds and experiences. Whether you’re an experienced ultra runner keen to get an early season 50 km in or a newbie trail runner looking to do their first 10K TrailFest is for you! \n\n\n\nWe’ve got 4 distances for you to choose from 10K\, half marathon\, marathon and 50 km. A distance to suit everyone! \n\n\n\nThe idea of the day is to bring everyone together and to experience the fun of trail running in a fantastic forest. Being around others doing what seems impossible can often make it seem a lot more possible\, too!! If you want to come and run your personal best or bimble about with your mates\, we’ve got the perfect distance for you. \n\n\n\nWe’ve got very generous cut-off times\, too\, to try and remove some of those barriers to new people trying out the sport. \n\n\n\nWhere is it?\n\n\n\nSalcey Forest is a Forestry England site with a café and toilets near Northampton. Use the post code NN7 2HX for Sat Navs . It is here on What 3 Words. \n\n\n\nYou do have to pay to park (between £4-£8 at the time of writing). That said\, be a hero and car share\, save money and the world! \n\n\n\nThe number 33 bus stops inside Salcey Forest (just after 9am) and goes between Northampton and Milton Keynes (check for Sunday times) \n\n\n\nIt is 18 minutes from Northampton and 9 minutes from Junction 15 of the M1. The closest train station is Northampton. \n\n\n\nCan I run with my dog?\n\n\n\nNot at these events. As the event is run under a UK Athletics/ Trail Running Association license there are no dogs allowed at any of the events. \n\n\n\nCourse description\n\n\n\nThe different routes are all on the specific event pages; however\, they all use similar sections of the forest. \n\n\n\nThe majority of the routes are along well-maintained pathways. There isn’t a meter of asphalt (except 2 road crossings for the longer events!)\, and the pathways are mainly crushed stone or very well-trodden open forest floor. Obviously\, being in the middle of a forest\, the narrower ones are covered in tree detritus and can become a bit muddy and grimy\, especially when wet. There are a few sections across the grassland. If we are experiencing a wet winter\, expect these to be muddy or waterlogged. Potentially very muddy and very waterlogged! \n\n\n\nPlan to do this event in trail shoes\, if it’s suitable for road shoes we’ve had a dry winter! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat does it cost?\n\n\n\nWe operate a tiered pricing approach. The earlier you enter\, the cheaper the event but never ever will you pay a booking fee! \n\n\n\n10K \n\n\n\n\nBefore 06/03/2025 £20\n\n\n\nAfter 06/03/2025 £25\n\n\n\n\nHalf Marathon \n\n\n\n\nBefore 06/03/2025 £35\n\n\n\nAfter 06/03/2025 £40\n\n\n\n\nMarathon \n\n\n\n\nBefore 06/03/2025 £50\n\n\n\nAfter 06/03/2025 £55\n\n\n\n\n50K \n\n\n\n\nBefore 06/03/2025 £60\n\n\n\nAfter 06/03/2025 £70\n\n\n\n\nUnaffiliated entrants pay £2 extra. Why not join your local running club or sign up the Big Bear Brigade and save 10% off entries for ever! If you had been on our Very Important Bear mailing list\, you could have saved 20% before the event was launched! \n\n\n\nCan I run as many laps as I want?\n\n\n\nNot at this event. This may seem an odd question to answer but given the majority of our events are 6 hour lapped events it’s one I’m sure people will have! \n\n\n\nWhat are the timings for each event?\n\n\n\n50 km \n\n\n\n\nRegistration Open – 07:00\n\n\n\nEvent Start – 08:00\n\n\n\n\nMarathon \n\n\n\n\nRegistration Open – 07:00\n\n\n\nEvent Start – 08:30\n\n\n\n\nHalf Marathon \n\n\n\n\nRegistration Open – 08:00\n\n\n\nEvent Start – 09:00\n\n\n\n\n10 km \n\n\n\n\nRegistration Open – 08:00\n\n\n\nEvent Start – 09:00\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCan I have a crew or pacers?\n\n\n\nYes and no. You can have crew\, they’re really helpful for more extended events but you cannot have pacers. To be clear\, that means no-one can run with you or walk alongside you for any period of time except in the final 100m. \n\n\n\nWe actively encourage spectators and supporters\, but they must not move along the trail with you. They can pop up all over the course though – or just stay in the cafe all day”! \n\n\n\nThere is a large grass area near the HQ that can be used to put a gazebo up if your team\, club\, or supporters wish to. Just let us know beforehand if you plan to do this. \n\n\n\nAre there cut-offs?\n\n\n\nYes\, but they’re pretty generous! The cut-off for the event is 19:00. So for the 50 km event\, that means an 11-hour cut-off – 21min/mile pace. All other events have the same 19:00 cut-off – so that’s 10 hours to do the 10k! \n\n\n\nOur cut off’s aren’t mean to be punitive\, we just have to let volunteers and medics when they can go home! In the last 3 years\, only 1 person has been within 1 hour of an 11-hour cut-off on this course\, and they had about 30 minutes to spare. \n\n\n\nI’ve heard you do cupless events.\n\n\n\nThat’s right! Read all about how we do cupless events here \n\n\n\nIs there a mandatory kit?\n\n\n\nThis is different for different distances and strictly enforced for each piece of mandatory kit missing 1 hour will be added to your finish time. For 10k entrants\, there is no mandatory kit\, although a cup/bottle for water is strongly recommended. There are NO CUPS at this event. If you don’t carry a cup you cannot drink water! Half marathon entrants a cup/bottle capable of holding 200ml minimum is mandatory. Marathon & 50k entrants must have water carry capacity for 500ml minimum\, foil blanket\, waterproof jacket (with taped seams) and a charged mobile phone. These are mandatory minimum’s if you want to carry more or extra kit then please do so\, this is to make you safe not to make you run to your best ability. \n\n\n\nWhat if I need to withdraw?\n\n\n\nIt happens. Injuries\, life events… forgetting you’ve booked it! You can see our specific withdrawal policy for the TrailFest events here. They are a little different to our other events but still much better than most other events companies. I think they are fairer than most\, and as such\, they will be adhered to. \n\n\n\nHas the event been run before?\n\n\n\nYes! We’ve run at Salcey Forest many times in the past at TrailFest ran with great success last year for the first time too. You can read the reviews here \n\n\n\nI’m unsure what to expect at TrailFest?\n\n\n\nIt’s a great day of trail running in the forest. The format means it’s great for clubs and groups to support people doing varying distances\, and the generous cut-offs mean it’s great for those looking to increase their distances. Whatever your experience or ability we’ll do everything we can to support you for the day. \n\n\n\nWe’ve tried to make as much video content as possible so you can see what our events are like. Have a look at our YouTube channel. The key is that these events are for everyone. There is no such thing as too slow! \n\n\n\nWhat do I get when I finish?\n\n\n\nAll finishers will get one of the above medals. In addition\, finishers of the marathon and 50k distance will get a flapjack and a choice of Big Bear drink\, too. \n\n\n\nIs there a gpx of the route?\n\n\n\nThe routes can be found at the bottom of the page\, you can click on them to download the gpx. To be clear\, the course will be heavily marked on the day\, so the gpx files should only be necessary as a backup. \n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Run The Grim Reaper 2025
DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to announce that The Grim Reaper is back at the stunning Grimsthorpe Castle Estate in South Lincolnshire on May 24 & 25\, 2025. Runners have the option of four solo distances – 10\, 40\, 70 & 100 miles – plus 40-mile and 100-mile team relay options. There will be two 10-mile races\, one in the morning and a night version. \n\n\n\nExpect a mix of estate roads\, limestone tracks and grass trails. Trail shoes are recommended\, especially in damp/wet conditions. \n\n\n\nThe new direction for the Grim Reaper\n\n\n\nThe Grim Reaper was relaunched in 2023 by Steve Cole & Laura Bailey\, runners local to the Grimsthorpe Estate who compete in races of distances from 10km up to 100 miles. Their plan was to create an event that catered for runners of all abilities in a stunning location with a friendly\, supportive vibe. It’s fair to say that the 260+ runners in 2023 feel they achieved that goal\, judging by the 4.8* (out of 5) rating on Letsdothis.com. \n\n\n\nLocated at the beautiful Grimsthorpe Castle\n\n\n\nThe route is a 10-mile loop that covers beautiful grass trails through ancient woodland\, limestone tracks\, quiet estate roads and a stretch along a disused Victorian railway line. It also skirts around the picturesque estate lake before reaching the start/finish point in front of the castle itself. \n\n\n\nWe class this as an ‘undulating’ trail course with no major hills to contend with\, making it ideal for those new to ultra-running\, looking to take the next step to a longer distance or aiming for a PB. The course will be fully marked. \n\n\n\nRoute / Aid Stations\n\n\n\nThe 10-mile loop around the stunning Grimsthorpe Castle Estate includes a mix of grass trails through ancient woodland\, quiet estate roads\, limestone tracks and even a disused Victorian railway line. You also skirt around the beautiful Grimsthorpe lake before reaching the start/finish point in front of the Castle itself. \n\n\n\nMedics\n\n\n\nThere will be fully qualified medics onsite throughout the event. \n\n\n\nAid Stations\n\n\n\nIf you are running one of the ultra-distances\, you are expected to be self-sufficient and manage your own supplies. You are encouraged to bring your own tent/shelter\, which can be left close to the start/finish point. There will be an Aid Station at mile 5 stocked with limited snacks & water. There will also be a toilet located at the aid station. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\nFood DrinkThere will be hot food and hot/cold drinks available to purchase throughout the event (from 6am on Saturday until 10am on Sunday).\n\n\n\nCourse MarkedYes.\n\n\n\nTerrainExpect a mix of estate roads\, limestone tracks and grass trail. Anyone found breaking this rule will be disqualified. \n\n\n\nRules\n\n\n\nCut-Off Time\n\n\n\nThe 70 and 100-mile races have a strict cut off time of 28-hours. The 40-mile race has a strict cut off time of 27 hours. \n\n\n\nMandatory Kit List: 40\, 70 & 100 Mile solo races only\n\n\n\nA kit check will be carried out upon registration. \n\n\n\n\nFully charged mobile phone\, including the numbers for the Race Medic and Race Directors. However\, you can defer your place to 2025 up to 4-weeks prior to the race (April 27). After this our race day costs\, which are based on numbers\, have been incurred. \n\n\n\nIf you would like to transfer your place to another runner\, please email hello@bogdogrunning.co.uk with the runner’s name\, address\, date of birth\, gender and any medical information. Transfers after May 3 will incur a £5 admin fee. \n\n\n\nQualification Standard\n\n\n\nWhilst there is no official qualification standard\, we suggest the following: \n\n\n\n40-mile runners: Comfortable running 15 to 20-mile distances regularly. \n\n\n\n70-mile runners: Comfortable running marathon to 50km distances regularly. There is a very generous cut-off limit so those walking still have a good chance of finishing. \n\n\n\n100-mile runners: Have completed at least a 50-mile distance within a year of the event\, with a finish time of at least 13-hours. \n\n\n\nEntries\n\n\n\nYou cannot change the distance you have selected upon entry. If you enter the 100-mile race and decide to drop out at mile 70\, you are classed as a DNF. Likewise\, if you enter the 70-mile race\, finish this distance and feel good enough to attempt the 100\, you cannot upgrade to this distance. \n\n\n\nRules\n\n\n\n\nRunners must follow the marked course at all times. Any runner found cutting the course will be instantly disqualified.\n\n\n\nYour bib numbers must be on the front of your shirt/shorts and visible at all times.\n\n\n\nRunners may not stash food/supplies on the course.\n\n\n\nLittering will mean instant disqualification.\n\n\n\nRunners are responsible for the actions of their pacers!\n\n\n\nPacers are permitted from mile 50 only and must be on foot.\n\n\n\nOnly one pacer at any one time.\n\n\n\nRunners must carry mandatory kit equipment at ALL times.\n\n\n\nYou must comply with all instructions given at the race briefing.\n\n\n\nIf you are unable to finish the race you MUST inform the race directors.\n\n\n\nWalking poles are permitted\n\n\n\nRunners/walkers in the 10-mile solo races only can have a dog with them. However\, this is not a canicross event\, therefore they must start at the back of the field and be comfortable not to ‘race’. Dogs MUST be kept on a lead as there is Livestock on the Estate.\n\n\n\n\nPricing\n\n\n\n\n10-mile Day: £32\n\n\n\n10-mile Night: £32\n\n\n\n40-miles: £85\n\n\n\n40-miles\, teams of 4 max: £125\n\n\n\n70-miles: £130\n\n\n\n100-miles: £150\n\n\n\n100-miles\, teams of max 5: £285\n\n\n\n\nAll finishers receive a medal. Trophies will be awarded to first\, second and third in all male & female solo races. SUMMARY:Summer 10K
DESCRIPTION:Where is it?\n\n\n\n\nCoombe Abbey Park\, Coventry is run and managed by Coventry City Council. The What 3 Words location is here.\n\n\n\n\nParking costs up £3 for 1-2 hours. There is a toilet block next to the HQ on site. Coombe Abbey Park (CV3 2AB) is on the outskirts of Coventry and 6 minutes from Junction 2 of the M6. The closest train station is Coventry. \n\n\n\nIf you want to see what the venue is like watch the venue preview here. \n\n\n\nCan I run with my dog?\n\n\n\n\nNo\, it’s likely to be too warm\, even later in the day to be running with dogs.\n\n\n\n\nCourse description\n\n\n\nYou’ll be running through woodland\, meadow and over grass fields. Depending on the weather leading up to the event this could mean muddy\, not so muddy or rock hard! There will be exposed trees roots\, uneven surfaces and a few gates to navigate but the running will always have a view. \n\n\n\nThe route is undulating but not hilly. A truly great venue and route! \n\n\n\nWhat does it cost?\n\n\n\nWe operate a tiered pricing approach. The earlier you enter\, the cheaper the event but never ever will you pay a booking fee! \n\n\n\n\nBefore 11/06/2025 £16\n\n\n\nAfter 11/06/2025 £21\n\n\n\n\nUnaffiliated entrants pay £2 extra. Why not join your local running club or sign up the Big Bear Brigade and save 10% off entries for ever! Unlike our other events we will have some biodegradable cups with water/electrolyte available on the course. If you have a foldable/collapsible cup you can bring\, even better but we don’t insist on it for our short races. \n\n\n\nHas the event been run before?\n\n\n\nYes! We have won a Racecheck Gold Award for this event in 2024 and have won Gold awards in previous years. It has over 150 reviews scoring it at 4.8 out of 5! You’ll love it! \n\n\n\nI’m not that fussed by a medal..\n\n\n\nIn that case our partnership with Earth Runs will be perfect! Rather than give you a medal you don’t really want (and to help reduce waste) we’ll give you a Big Bear Tree Token. Not only will a tree be planted for each token given out but the token is also full of wildflower seeds for you to grow at home! \n\n\n\nIs there a cut-off?\n\n\n\nEffectively 2 hours. This is how long the medics are booked for. The hope is that cut-off shouldn’t exclude anyone from entering. Please do contact us if that is the case. We do have to be conscious of the sunset too!

SUMMARY:The Bridge Children's Triathlon
DESCRIPTION:The 7th Bridge Children’s Triathlon will take place on the 13th July 2025. Entries are now open for the 2025 Dartford Bridge Children’s Triathlon. Every year we learn a bit more and we try and improve our events.\nNew swim course for this year’s children’s race. No lap’s just one loop for each race. 50m\, 150m\, 200\, 300\, this will make the swim easier for the children. \nDue to time restrictions we are limited to only 50 in each age race wave. Boys and girls may be racing in the same wave. The children’s race is a stand alone race now. It was to hard to run it after the adult race. We need to have reopened the road by 10am so all waves will need to start on time. \nWe will be fencing off all areas this year for safety reasons. We will also be moving the Transition area down to the trees to give us more room. The Finish will also be moved 20m again to give us more room (see site plan) \nRegistration will only open at 5.30am for the children’s race. All children must be at the start area 15 minutes before their wave is due to start. Start times will be sent out the week before the race date by e-mail. They will also be posted on the web site \nIf you have any questions please feel free to ask before the day of the race. Estimated start time for each age group. We’ll also send you information on exactly which train ticket/s to purchase\, so that we’re able to travel together. After the hike\, we’ll reimburse everyone at least £10 against the cost of their journey.
