DESCRIPTION:Dirt Duathlon is a series like no other! We are made up of 3 mini adventure races (approx. 3 – 4 hrs. depending on how fast you are!) between June and August. You and your team can enter 1\, 2 or all three events. You train over winter. Why not race over winter too? \nIn teams of 2\, 3 4\, you can enter 1\, 2 or all three events on foot and bike\, experiencing the Big Bang Dirt Duathlon in the day or by night! \nRaces 1 and 2 will allow you to explore your adventure racing skills during daylight hours and progress in difficulty. Race 3 will test these skills to the max – in the dark! \nWe like to spread the love\, so the events are held between the Wellington\, Kapiti and Horowhenua regions. \n​\nWe know that’s how you like to roll to keep things easy. The day events will start at 10 am to have a lie-in. The night event will begin at 7 pm.

All routes offer beautiful views over the Mole Valley\, Ranmore Common\, and the North Downs\, and runners are welcome to run as quickly as possible or take their time and enjoy the wine sampling stations on the route.\nThe drinks stations are what separates this event from all the others. But\, not just any old drinks stations\, the last two along the route serve wine and food and soft drinks. SUMMARY:ULTRA X 125 ENGLAND
DESCRIPTION:Ultra X 125 England takes place in the Peak District National Park\, an upland area characterised by vast green landscapes\, rounded hills\, plateaus\, valleys\, limestone gorges\, and gritstone escarpments. \nInhabited from the Mesolithic era\, the Peak District has a rich history of agriculture\, mining\, and quarrying\, and is now famous for its spectacular scenery\, spa towns\, caves\, and network of footpaths and cycling trails. With a huge variety of remote terrain\, challenging climbs\, and stunning upland scenery on offer\, the Peak District is one of the best trail running locations in the country. \nUltra X 50 England (50km single-stage race) takes place on the second day (Sunday) of Ultra X 125 England. Both races are held under full UK Athletics permit granted through the TRA. \n \nMEDAL RIBBONS\nAll finishers will receive a race medal. Different medal ribbons will be awarded based upon the finishing times outlined below. \nAs part of our Sustainability Policy\, the Green Ribbon will be awarded to the competitor that displays the highest commitment to reducing their environmental impact both in preparation for and during the race (as determined by the organisers).

SUMMARY:The Original Grim Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Grim Challenge 2022\nThe GRIM is one of the original muddy/trail/obstacle races with a history that dates back to 2003. After a COVID absence in 2020\, it bounced back strongly in 2021 with more than 1000 runners taking part in the event. It returns in 2022 in much the same format: the route takes you over Army vehicle testing ground in Aldershot with two distance options\, a main race 8-miler and a lighter version over a shorter 4-mile course. \nAlthough the GRIM is a tough trail race in which you will certainly find yourself at times cold\, wet and dirty\, it is not an obstacle race\, it’s a running event. We don’t build any ramps\, walls or swings on the course. All the obstacles are natural\, formed by tanks driving over the route or by incessant rain in the weeks leading up to the event. Of course\, at this stage\, we can’t guarantee the rain but it’s never let us down before! In a few places\, you will be crawling under cargo nets or wading though waist-high water. The distance may not sound daunting but don’t take this lightly\, on a cold December morning\, the GRIM is a challenge and you will think it aptly named when you have run it. \nWe also have a new charity partner… Combat Stress. \nCombat Stress is the UK’s leading charity for veterans’ mental health. For over a century\, it has helped former servicemen and women with mental health problems such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)\, anxiety and depression. Today it provides specialist treatment and support for veterans from every service and conflict\, focusing on those with complex mental health issues. \nThe work it does is life-changing and often life-saving. We are delighted to be working and supporting the work Combat Stress at the GRIM Challenge. DESCRIPTION:Ultra X Mexico takes participants to the Sierra Madre mountains\, in the southwest of the state of Chihuahua. The spectacular mountain trails of the Copper Canyons found here are the home of the original ultra runners\, an indigenous tribe called the Tarahumara Indians\, famously featured in the book Born to Run. \n \nThe Tarahumara are otherwise known as the Ráramuri\, meaning “those who run fast”. Competitors will have a rare chance to find out the truth of this for themselves.

DESCRIPTION:Haldon Night Trail Race 2022\nOur popular night trail race returns to Haldon Forest for 2022. There’s a single loop 10K course and a shorter 5K course. New for 2022 is a fancy dress category\, and there’ll be prizes for the best fancy dress. And there’s a team competition too! \nFor the children\, we offer a fun one-lap 1K race (3-7 yrs) or a two-lap 2K race for slightly older children aged 8-11. Routes are clearly marked with reflective poles & arrows.\nFor all kids races we are happy for adults to run with them for no additional charge. For the 10K race we also do awards for Vet 40\, Vet 50 & Vet 60 \nFor the kids races there are three categories: Under 8\, Ages 8-9 and Ages 10-11. \nFAQS\nWe recommend trail shoes for all our night runs. You should also wear a hi-viz top or vest so you can be seen on any road sections or crossings. Bring warm clothing to change into afterwards.
