SUMMARY:Clarendon Marathon and Half Marathon
DESCRIPTION:Marathon and Half Marathon\nClarendon Marathon and Half Marathon; Salisbury to Winchester: Running or Walking \nOverview: \nIf you are looking for a marathon which is off road\, picturesque and challenging then running the Clarendon is the ultimate. Our route takes you from Salisbury to Winchester along the ancient Clarendon Way with a few extra turns here and there to make up a full 26.2 miles. More than 90% is off road\, with the trail following country tracks and paths – many of which have not changed since being travelled by the ancient Kings and Queens of England. \nIn addition to the full marathon distance\, we also have a half marathon event and this year we are also introducing a mini run of just 5 miles. If you want to join us but are not able to run the full course\, please feel welcome to get a team of 4 together and run in a relay or enter the mini and run in with us for the last 5 miles. \nOur marathon event was first run in 1998. It was founded and organised by Paul Elderkin\, a keen runner and member of a local Hash House Harriers Club. In 2012\, Paul passed the management of the race over to the Rotary Clubs of Winchester and Salisbury. \nThe entry fee for 2017 is an inclusive one. All entrants will be given a free medal and a free tshirt when they cross the finish line. Use of the buses will also be included.\nEarly bird prices for bookings before 1 June are: \n£30 for the full marathon (26.2 miles). £35 after 1 June.\n£22 for the half marathon (13.1 miles). £25 after 1 June.\n£20 for the mini (5 miles). £20 after 1 June.\n£70 for a 4 person relay team. £80 after 1 June.\nOnline entries close on Tuesday 19 September. It will be possible for runners to book on the day but an additional late fee of £10 (donation to Rotary charities) will be requested. \nClarendon coffee mugs are available for £5 each. \nA massage after the run will cost £7. \nIf you wish to use the event as an opportunity to raise funds for your favourite charity\, all the money that you raise can be put directly to your charity (100%). \nYour early bookings are much appreciated as this helps us when we are forecasting how many tshirts and medals to order and lots of other things. Please book as early as possible. \nClick here to go to the registration page \nEvent Info \nThe Clarendon Way Marathon (Laverstock/Salisbury to Winchester) – starting at 10:30am (earlier start of 8:00hrs for walkers and 9:30hrs for very slow runners). Cost £30.00.\nThe Clarendon Way Half Marathon (Broughton to Winchester) – starting at 12:15pm (earlier start of 11.45am for walkers). Cost £22.00.\nThe Clarendon Way Relay x4 Marathon (Laverstok/Salisbury to Winchester) – starting at 10:30am. Cost £70.00.\nThe Clarendon Mini (last 5 miles only. Farley Mount Country Park to Winchester) – starting at 1.45pm. Cost £20.00.\nFull Marathon \nThe Full Marathon starts from Wyvern College\, Laverstock\, Salisbury (SP1 1RE). The run mainly follows the Clarendon Way setting off through the Clarendon Estate and then on through the villages of Pitton\, Winterslow and Broughton. Broughton is the midway point where the Half Marathon runners join the course. From here the route takes you through to Houghton and then across the River Test to Kings Somborne\, then on up to Farley Mount\, down through the woods and eventually on to the finish at Kings’ School\, Winchester (SO22 5PN). The route is mostly off-road\, is tough and challenging but possibly one of the most scenic races you’ll ever enter. \nRegistration is open from 7.30am. Runners should allow plenty of time to pick up their race numbers. \nThe full marathon starts at 10:30am. Marathon runners should aim to reach the half marathon start point in Broughton in less than 2hrs 45mins i.e. by 13:15pm. \nThere is also an option to make an early start at Wyvern School at 8:00am or 9:30am (instead of 10:30am) if you are planning to walk the route or jog very slowly (please let us know when you book if you require an early start). Participants can only take the early start time if they are very slow and anticipate arriving at Winchester after 3:00pm but no later than 4:00pm. Participants taking the 9:30 start should only do so if they are likely to need more than 5 hours to complete the course. There are no prizes applicable for early starters. If you are a fast runner please do not take the early start as the marshals and the various support teams will not be in place. \nBuses are available pre-race and post-race depending on your requirements however please note that there are no pre-race buses available for the early starters. Early starters will need to transport themselves to Laverstoke\, run the course to Winchester\, then take the post-race bus. \nThe first runners are expected to arrive at the finish line at Kings School in Winchester at approx 1:15pm. We hope that all the runners (and strollers and walkers) will complete the course by 4.00pm at the very latest. \nRelay marathon (x4)\nThe Relay Marathon follows the same course as the full marathon. It comprises a four-stage relay\, each leg being an average of 6.5 miles in length but they are not equal lengths. The first leg is approx 10.5km\, second leg is 10.4km\, third leg is longest at 12.3km and the fourth leg is the shortest at 9.0 km. The third leg is the most challenging as\, in addition to being longer in distance\, it also has a greater hill climb in height. The fourth leg is the easiest as it is the shortest and some of it is down hill. The relay marathon starts at 10.30am. \nTeams are usually mixed sex (usually 3 males and one female) but we are also encouraging all male and all female teams. There is a prize for the first mixed team\, first male team and first female team. \nRegistration is open from 8.00. Runners should allow plenty of time to pick up their race numbers and their team batton (wrist band). This is to be passed on to the next runner at each transition point. \nThe relay change over points are as follows (click for maps): \nStart from Wyvern College\, Salisbury – SP1 1RE \nThe first changeover is in Middle Winterslow at the Sports Ground at OS Grid ref SU 237 329\, (SP5 1RD).\nThe second changeover is at Broughton\, Rectory Lane OS Grid ref SU 308330\, (SO20 8AB) Please note\, this is not the start point for the half marathon. \nThe third changeover is at Farley Mount Country Park car park (closest car park to the monument) OS Grid ref SU 407 293\nThe finish is at the Kings’ School in Winchester. OS Grid ref SU 458 291\, (SO22 5PN). \nTo help reduce road traffic congestion in the Middle Winterslow area can we ask all support personel to please enter via the A30\, Firs Road\, The St\, The Plantation\, The Sports Ground. When leaving\, please do not exit by going further into Winterslow along Middleton. \nInstead please exit by reversing your journey back along The Plantation\, The St and then up to the A30. Once you are on the A30 you will be able to travel east and then take the B3084 down into Broughton. \n Half marathon\nThe Half Marathon starts at 12:15pm at the village hall in Broughton (SO20 8AX)\, and continues along the marathon course to finish at Kings’ School in Winchester. There is also an earlier start time for walkers only at 11.45am. \nRegistration opens at 11.00. Runners should allow plenty of time to pick up their race numbers. \nMini (the last 5 miles only)\nThe mini start location is on the main trail in the middle of Farley Mount Country Park (Grid Ref SU417294). Participants in the ‘Mini’ will have the opportunity to chear the early runners and then join the main pack an hour later. The first runners from the main event are expected to be passing through this location from 12:45pm. \nThe bus from Winchester carrying the mini runners will arrive at about 1.00pm and the mini runners will be able to watch some of the marathon runners going through. The mini will then set off at 1.45pm. \nSee bus time table section for more detailed infomation http://www.clarendon-marathon.co.uk/more-info \nKids Race (free)\nWe will hold a fun race for young children who are waiting with their parents at Kings School Winchester. This will be a very informal event\, it is free and you do not need to pre-book. We are planning to set the children off at approx 12.30 for a short race within the school grounds. All the participants will be finished in plenty of time to see the marathon runners who will be arriving from about 13:15 onwards. \nCut off times\nIf on the day you find you are running very slowly\, you may be directed by a marshal to leave the course and accept a lift to Winchester. We have a large number of marshals along the route and it is not fair to keep them out on the course for an extended period. To be allowed to stay in the race you must make it to the drinks stations by the required times. Please see these times listed below. Please note that if you are a slow runner you should consider taking one of the earlier starts to ensure you reach the drinks stations within the cut off time. \nDrink stations\nDrink stations are located at the following locations. In the past these have been good places for spectators to see the runners but due to the traffic congestion in the area we are now asking spectators not to drive around the course hoping to see their friends. SUMMARY:Gran Fondo Campagnolo Roma 2017
DESCRIPTION:Gran Fondo Campagnolo Roma Event\nThe Gran Fondo Campagnolo Roma has a length of 75 miles with an altitude of 6\,643 ft elevation. For well trained riders. Certainly challenging and suitable for those with well trained legs and lungs. For this reason\, to make it even more attractive to those who see the bike a means to compete (with others or themselves)\, the routes are varied and difficult. The route within Rome: Fori Imperiali\, Piazza Venezia\, Piazza Argentina\, Corso Rinascimento\, S. Andrea della Valle\, via Tomacelli\, Largo Goldoni\, Via del Corso\, Piazza del Popolo\, LungoTevere to Via di Porta San Sebastiano. Then\, once out of town in the direction of the Castles immortalized by centuries of stories\, poems\, songs and movies. Ancient villages\, evocative\, steeped in history and immersed in enchanted landscapes. \nLake Albano\, which the Pope’s summer residence oversees\, Rocca di Papa\, Rocca Priora\, Montecompatri are our four challenging timed climbs\, with hard\, dry features as they say in cycling words\, could “be very painful” the muscles already tested by a path not exactly flat\, especially in the city section with Roman cobblestones reminiscent of the legendary North European pavé. \nThe timed hill climbs:\nPanoramica (Lake Albano) 2.3 kilometers\, with an average gradient of 5.9% and a maximum of 8%. \nMurus (Rocca di Papa) 1.1 kilometers with an average gradient of 10.3% and a maximum of 16%. \nRocca Priora – Trofeo Corriere dello Sport 6 kilometres\, average gradient of 6.3% and maximum 13% \nRostrum (Montecompatri) 0.720 meters with a wall at an average gradient of 12% and maximum of 18%. \nRome is always near. You ride the hills\, touching 800 meters above sea level\, the fresh air\, the feeling of being on vacation but wanting to race\, that makes you want to crank it up. Head down\, with hills and slopes and then Pratoni del Vivaro\, a landscape straight out of Spaghetti Westerns\, the Roman countryside and finally the return to Rome … goodbye to the freshness of the Castelli\, hello the heat of the Eternal City. \nAn innovative gran fondo. Final classifications are awarded and for each category based on timing of the timed climbs with prizes in each category according to the times recorded in the four official hill climbs. \nAnd a wonderful new initiative called Campagnolo Campagnolo Climbing Championship\, for those who will go first in the four climbs of the Gran Fondo: Overview of the time trial\, the Murus\, Rocca Priora – Trofeo Corriere dello Sport and Rostrum who will have the honor of a special mesh. \nA ranking for men\, women of different categories in order to better represent all competitive\, rewarding the most competitive\, from the youngest to the oldest\, will consecrate the Campagnolo Climbing Champion. And also two links will award the winners in the overall calculation of the 4 climbs and after arrivals you will be able to celebrate the King of Rome and The Queen of Rome. All Campagnolo Climbing Champion will show off their jersies the next year and will be entitled to a place in the front row of the starting grid. SUMMARY:RG Open Water Swim Race
DESCRIPTION:Open Water Swim Race UK\nWith the popularity of open water swimming growing as a sport in it’s own right there is more and more of you wanting to test your swimming ability without having to worry about cycling and running afterwards. There are also many triathletes entering these open water swim races as preparation for their own triathlon and multisport events. \nOur TRAINING RACES offer the competitors an opportunity to gauge fitness\, practise mass swim starts\, swimming with others and to add a element of competition to your training in a relaxed and inexpensive environment. \nThe races will follow the same structure with the only things outside of your control being the British weather and the other competitors racing with you. \nThis allows you to monitor your progress over the races throughout the season over the same course and having the series will enable you to try new things and make sure that you get a great workout as well as preparing yourself for your major ‘A’ races during the summer. \nWe allow competitors to decide on your race distance on the morning of the race when you register and collect your swim hat. We have decided to offer this because over the past two year people have regularly changed their minds due to weather\, their fitness etc. This way you can literally choose the distance thats right for you when you arrive at the race. \nEntry Fees for the Open Water Swim Race:\n– Entries for the 3200m (6 laps) distance race is £12.00\n– Entries for the 2250m (4 laps) distance race is £12.00\n– Entries for the 1250m (2 laps) distance race is £12.00\n– Entries for the 750m (1 lap) distance race is FREE! \nWe are allowing competitors to decide on your race distance on the morning of the race when you register and collect your swim hat and race number. We have decided to offer this because over in past years people have regularly changed their minds due to weather\, their fitness etc. \nThis way you can literally choose the distance that’s right for you when you arrive at the race. \nRace Info\nPlease take time to read through this information prior to your race: \nThe races will start from 8:00am so we ask that you arrive in plenty of time to change\, register and warm up prior to the race start. On arrival at the venue you will asked to park in specific areas by members of the RG Active marshals. \nYou will need to register your attendance with at the registration desk where you will be given the following things:\n– An coloured swim hat relevant to your race distance.\n– On your hand will be written a ‘Number’\, ‘Letter’ or both\, this will be how the race marshals are able to record your time at the finish line of the race. \nNote: At the registration desk you will also be able to purchase a selection of items including blueseventy goggles\, swim toys as well as sports lubricant\, energy products and hot or cold drinks. \nThe distances for all races have been measure by GPS equipment\, however due to tidal changes in the river Thames the exact distance of the races could vary by a few metres on the morning of the race like with all open water events. \nThere will be three race options/distances to choose from\, however EVERYONE will start in the same ‘Mass start’ at 08:00am. \nCompetitors racing the 750m (1 lap) course will exit the water via the matted ramp and follow the cones directly to the finish line where your time will be recorded by the RG Active time keepers. \nThose competitors competing in the longer distance races will NOT exit the lake and continue the loop in the upper part of the lake to complete their additional lap(s). At the end of their last swim lap they will exit the lake via the ramp\, turn sharp left and head directly to the finish line. \nWhen running through the finish line we ask that all competitors be respectful of the time keepers and help them to record your numbers accurately so the results will be correct when you receive them. \nPlease make sure the ‘number’ or ‘letter’ you have written on your hand is shown to the time keepers when you cross the finish line\, this signifies YOU and will be cross referenced with your time when the results are compiled after the race. \nNow all you have to do is Enter\, Participate and Enjoy!

Terms and conditions may be subject to change at short notice. \nIn any dispute the Race Director’s decision will be final and binding on all parties. \nJungle Marathon Ltd reserves the right to alter or modify any aspect of the Jungle Marathon race itinerary at short notice in response to unforeseen circumstances in order to ensure the safety and security of all participants. \nAge\nAll competitors must be at the age 18 years or over. \nEntries\nOpen to men and women\, individuals and teams. \nTeam Entries\nAll teams must have at least three members. \nTo qualify for a ranking all team members must complete the race or stage. \nIndividual team members will also receive individual overall rankings. Team times will be calculated as the average of the combined time of the team’s members. \nRace Stages\nThere will be either one marathon stage of 42km\, or 4 stages over 4 days (for +-127 km runners) or 6 stages over 7 days (+-242 km runners) varying in distance from approximately 16 km to 108 km (see Race Stages). \nEach stage will have a maximum time for completion. \nAny runner failing to arrive within the allocated stage time may be eliminated from the race. This decision is taken by the Race Director and depends on the reasons for not finishing in time\, the stage and the physical and psychological condition of the athlete. \nCheckpoints \nThese will be located every 5-10 km on regular stages\, i.e. on the long stage the checkpoints may be further apart. \nCompetitors must pass through all the checkpoints on each stage. \nAt each checkpoint water will be distributed and must be emptied into personal water bottles (or similar). \nIn no circumstances must any competitor leave the checkpoint with the plastic bottles provided by the race organisers. \nEach checkpoint will also provide the opportunity to seek medical assistance if needed. \nRunners in the marathon distance are entitled to send a drop bag to the checkpoints with snacks and energy drinks \nFailure to pass a checkpoint will result in elimination from the race or a significant time penalties. \nIt is imperative that all competitors leave the checkpoint with their full water capacity. \nFinishing a Stage \nAt the finish line of each stage water will be available. \nAfter putting up your hammock and settling in you will be given the opportunity to seek medical attention if needed. \nE-mails to competitors will be distributed each evening. \nOn completion of a stage each competitor and team will be timed in and ranked. \nHot water will be available at all campsites for food preparation \nMandatory Equipment\nHammocks with mosquito nets and rainfly sheet\nPre-race food from arrival in Brazil\nFood supplies to last for 4 or 7 days racing (depending on distance entered). Some specific penalties are: \nAll missing items from the mandatory gear list will incur a 1 hour penalty per day. Having lost an item on the race course is not a valid excuse. \nReceiving an IV drip will incur a 2 hour penalty (per dose). \nAny willful attempt to take detours from the course route\, (there are no short cuts through this jungle) will be taken very seriously resulting in possible disqualification (not including being genuinely lost) \nDisqualification \nDisqualification will result in the competitor leaving the race with no ranking. Transportation to the finish line and accommodation will be at the runner’s expense. \nOverall and Stage Placing \nCompetitors will be ranked and times indicated in hours and minutes according to their individual overall and stage performances with additional awards given in the following categories; Individual: Male\, Female\, Team\, Veteran (60+)\, 127km.\, marathon winner\, \nHealth & Safety \nThe safety and health of all competitors\, support staff\, and volunteers is paramount. \nAnyone entering this environment must take precautions against malaria. \nEach runner should take every measure possible to protect themselves from dehydration and exhaustion. \nA medical team will be on hand at all times to provide minor and emergency medical treatment and support should the need arise. \nThe course route is well marked out along trails and paths through the jungle. \nShould anyone have the misfortune of getting lost a search and rescue team will be ready and equipped to locate and evacuate them. \nItinerary \n5th October \nBoarding the boats. The same transfer cut-off of October 10th applies. \nMany distances – one great day\nThe 2017 Leicester Marathon actually comprises of several running events. This means that everybody can get involved in this great annual event that takes you running into the heart of our great city and into the surrounding countryside. \nThe events are\nThe Leicester Marathon – distance 26.2 miles.\nThe Leicester Half Marathon – distance 13.1 miles.\nCummins Relay Challenge – full marathon and half marathon routes. \nThe Leicester Marathon – distance 26.2 miles\nThe marathon distance is regarded by many as the ultimate challenge. Every great city around the world has its own iconic marathon – including London\, Berlin\, Paris\, New York and Boston. Well the Leicester Marathon is in our view\, an equally great event. With is downhill start into the busy city centre (roads closed for the duration) and out into the beautiful surrounding countryside\, we know you will love the Leicester marathon experience. That’s why people come back year after year. \nThe Leicester Half Marathon – distance 13.1 miles\nThere is a big difference between a 10k and a full marathon. That’s probably why the half marathon distance has become such a popular distance for runners. In fact in Leicester\, the half marathon is a really popular event attracting a large number of runners – far more that the full marathon. For some\, the half marathon is a stepping stone to a longer distance or a training event to a future marathon. For many\, it is a distance that is enough of a challenge in itself and one that can be revisited and refined over the years. \nCummins Relay Challenge\nWe’re delighted that Cummins Solicitors are sponsoring this event for the fifth time. The relay race has become a huge part of the successful Leicester Marathon. \nThis year for the first time there are two relay challenges. \nChallenge 1: Your team of 4 run around the Half Marathon route\, completing approximately 3.25 miles each.\nChallenge 2: Your team of 4 run around the Full Marathon route\, completing approximately 6.5 miles each. \nWith the relay event\, it’s all about raising money for LOROS hospice which\, as many of you will know\, is an extremely important and worthy Leicestershire charity. Last year\, we had 60 teams enter. Between them\, they managed to raise over £10k for LOROS. \nLet’s raise even more for LOROS in 2017.\nThis year we want to smash that £10k and with a huge amount of interest so far\, once again we are confident that with your help we can get there!\nWe’d love you to enter a team because every penny of your entry fee\, and any money you raise in sponsorship\, goes to LOROS. To boot\, you get to have a great team event\, some fun (honest!) and (hopefully) to get fit in the process – what could be more of an incentive? \nYour team of four will start and finish at Victoria Park\, where you’ll be able to enjoy well-earned hospitality after the event – laid on especially for our relay teams. \nThe entry fee is £100 per team. Your support of this fantastic\, local charity will be greatly appreciated. \nDon’t want to run?\nNot everybody can run or wants to run! But you can still get involved in one of Leicester’s great annual sporting events.\nVolunteer – there are lots of places around the course where you can volunteer. You can help guide runners along the course; give out running numbers at the start or assist people as they finish. \nSpectate – cheer along our runners around the course. \nJoin us in making the 2017 Leicester Marathon the greatest event yet. \nMarathon Pricing\nLeicester Marathon 2017 Results

SUMMARY:The Abingdon Marathon 2017
DESCRIPTION:Abingdon Marathon 2017\n  \nPhoto: Oxford Mail \nhttp://www.oxfordmail.co.uk/news/13877062.Jessica_Bruce_from_Risinghurst_hopes_to_be_crowned_new_world_record_holder_after_running_Abingdon_Marathon_with_a_pram/ \n  \nThe Abingdon Marathon was first held in 1982 and 2017 will mark the race’s 36th year since its inception. This will be the 35th running of the race – unfortunately the 2007 event had to be abandoned. \nThe marathon entry has grown over the years but has an entry limit of again 1\,200 this year. We expect this number to be reached by the beginning of April\, well before the closing date\, so make sure you enter early to avoid disappointment. \n \nThe 2017 Abingdon Marathon will again incorporate a number of championship events: Oxfordshire County Marathon Championships\, Berkshire County Marathon Championships\, Middlesex County Marathon Championships and Army AA Marathon Championships. In addition\, the event also hosts the Twin Towns competition. We always extend a big welcome to our friends from overseas\, especially from Argentan\, France\, Abingdon’s twin town. \nThe Abingdon Marathon course passes through the centre of the Milton Park business estate. \nThe race is organised by a committee of volunteers from clubs across Oxfordshire. The organisation of a marathon is a considerable job\, and this year the Committee is grateful to the support from Abingdon AC\, Alchester AC\, Headington Road Runners\, White Horse Harriers AC and Witney Road Runners. Without this support and the assistance of a number of other local clubs and voluntary organisations the race would not take place. \nThe event is a BARR graded Gold event. In addition to putting on a first class event for the competitors\, the organisers aim to support a number of local charities and the main beneficiaries over recent years have included Against Breast Cancer\, SeeSaw\, The Archway Foundation and Abingdon Lions Club. \nWhether you are taking part as a runner\, supporting your family or friends as they run the race\, or just enjoying the spectacle and the enthusiasm of the day we hope it will be a day to remember. \nMarathon Route\nThe route is predominantly flat\, allowing the chance for good race times. It is a two lap course running through the town\, through several villages and following part of the River Thames. A recent poll by Runners World readers the rated the Abingdon Marathon as their favourite race in the country for achieving a PB. The race starts and finishes at the Tilsley Park athletics track. \nMarathon Entry\n* Unaffiliated Runners : £42\n* UK Athletics Affiliated Runners : £40\n* Registration Deadline : 22 September \nThe race categories for this event are as follows: \nMen\nSenior Men (aged 18–39 )\nVeteran 40 Men (aged 40–49)\nVeteran 50 Men (aged 50–59)\nVeteran 60 Men (aged 60–69)\nVeteran 70+ Men (aged 70 upwards) \nWomen\nSenior Women (aged 18–34)\nVeteran 35 Women (aged 35–44)\nVeteran 45 Women (aged 45–54)\nVeteran 55 Women (aged 55–64)\nVeteran 65+ Women (aged 65 upwards)

SUMMARY:Berenloop Terschelling Marathon & Half Marathon
DESCRIPTION:Berenloop Terschelling Marathon\nThe Berenloop has over the years become one of the largest athletics events in Northern Netherlands. This is not only due to the beautiful trail\, which runs through the beautiful and varied nature of Terschelling\, but also because of the fantastic atmosphere that is on the island during the Berenloop weekend. \nAlmost everyone at Terschelling is involved in the Berenloop: as a participant\, as a volunteer or as a spectator\, you notice that. Perhaps this is the reason\, despite the challenging course\, again excellent times are happening every year. \nIn 2017\, the Beer Race is on its 21st edition. The first edition took place on October 26\, 1997\, as a sporting end of the theme year ‘400 years Willem Barentsz’. Willem Barentsz\, famous seafarer and from Terschelling\, tried to sail to Asia in 1596 via the north. \nIt became a monster ride with a lot of hardships and a forced wintering between the icebergs on Nova Zembla. By hunting for bears\, the crew had enough food to survive winter\, and thus the marathon came to her name: the Berenloop. \nArrangements\nParticipating in the Berenloop is ideally suited for a longer stay at Terschelling. For information about the many accommodation and arrangements\, please contact the Terschelling Tourist Office . \nBoats\nBook your boat on time for both the return journey and http://www.rederijdoeksen.nl . This also applies when you only go back and forth on Saturday 4 or Sunday 5 November. During the Berenloopweekend the regular timetable will be extended with a number of additional boats. \nBus transport\nIn addition to the regular schedule\, several extra buses are available during the Berenloopweekend. More information about the bus services on the island: http://www.bus-terschelling.nl After the Berenloop\, there are free shuttle buses from the finish to the swimming pool and to Hotel Schylge. \nCategories\nAt 21 and 42 kilometers\, the age ranges are: \nAge categories:\nMen: Seniors-M40-M50-M60\nWomen: Seniors-V35-V45-V55 \nTimetables\nDuring and around the Berenloop weekend there are several extra boats. More information can be found at http://www.rederijdoeksen.nl. \nOwn drinks\nYou can dispatch your own drinks by 11.40 am in the first aid kit immediately after the start / finish (for the whole marathon). These are then transported to the various care centers. On the way you will find your own drinks at the end of each care post. \nOwn risk and responsibility\nEach participant is at your own risk and for your own responsibility. The organization accepts no liability whatsoever for the participants. Insurance is a matter of the participants themselves. In case of unexpected cancellation\, no refund of the entry fee will be made. On the Bears Race\, the General Terms and Conditions of the SET (Terschelling Foundation Events) apply. \nCyclists and supporters\nIn view of the hassle of the trail\, we ask you to make the least use of guidance by a cyclist. Obviously\, accompanying cyclists should never interfere with other runners or ride a bike. They must also adhere strictly to the clues of police\, contestants\, traffic controllers and other volunteers. If they do not\, the organization is obliged to remove the course and there is a chance that no cyclists will be allowed next year. \nCertain sections of the trail\, such as the beach\, are not accessible to accompanying cyclists. This also applies to the last part of the trail in the village (from De Stilen nursing home). \nNOTE: At the 2-kilometer point cyclists and runners cross each other. This is solved by zipping. Take a good look at the signs and follow the directions of the traffic controllers! The runners have priority at all times. \nSupporters are not allowed to walk the final piece over the finish. The red runner is only for the finishers! \nFinish\nFor all distances\, the finish is under the brandaris. At 17.40 the finish will be closed. \nReminder\nAll finishers on the whole and the half marathon will receive a medal and a functional Saucony running shirt afterwards. Participants in Small Berenloop receive an appropriate reminder afterwards. \nDogs\nIt is not allowed to go with a dog to the berry or small berth. \nTools\nThe Berenloop is\, like the Little Bear Run\, a running event. It is therefore not allowed to participate in tools such as handbikes\, running cars / baby joggers\, steps\, autopeds etc. \nInformation\nSee under “Competition Secretariat” \nSubscription\nThe registration for the Berenloop\, Youth run and Kleintje Berenloop is open. The limits have now been reached for the 5\, 10 and 21\,1 km. \nYouth run\nPrior to the Berenloop there is a youth run for the youth from 6 to 15 years. Participation costs are 6 euros. It starts on Sunday morning from 09:45 am under the brandaris. For more information see youth race. \nClothing delivery\nYou can spend your valuable items and clothes at the Nature and Landscape Center (Natuurmuseum) on the Burgemeester Reedekerstraat 11. Kleintje Berenloop has no longer served as a ‘warm-up’ for the Berenloop on Sunday\, but is a cozy and low-threshold competition for the shorter work of 5 and 10 km.
