SUMMARY:Siberian Ice Half Marathon
DESCRIPTION:27th Siberian Ice Half Marathon\nThe Siberian Ice Half Marathon is an annual large-scale long-distance winter running competition in Russia. This running competition has a status of the coldest mass running event in the world. \nThe marathon will be held on the 7th of January 2018 at the Cathedral Square.  \nThe organizers offer participants three individual courses: 3\, 5 km (for running fans without any age limit)\, 7 km (for more experienced runners aged of 14 and older)\, 21.1 km (for trained runners aged of 16 and older). \nAbout\nSiberian Ice Marathon is an official competition that is included in the calendar of the Ministry of Youth\, Physical culture and Sport of Omsk region. \nSiberian Ice Marathon is the only major long-distance race arranged in Russia in winter. The event is held in extreme weather conditions of Siberian winter and has unofficial status of the coldest race in the world. \nSiberian Ice Marathon is a member of the Association of International Marathons and Road Races (AIMS). Competitions are international calendar AIMS. \nDistinctive peculiarities of the Ice Marathon\nIt is unique:  in Russia there are no analogues of such a major and mass winter long-distance race\nIt is popular: more than 1000 fans of running from 15 regions of Russia and foreign countries take part in the half marathon\nIt is extreme: the race is held in conditions of low temperatures (-39 oС in 2001)\nIt is holiday: a carnival of Christmas costumes\, a show of winter swimmers and traditional extreme fun decorate the program \n \nRunners pack collection\nDate     5 and 6 January 2018 (Friday and Saturday)\nTime    11 am to 7 pm\nVenue  The Library n.a.
