DESCRIPTION:The 2021 Dartford Bridge Triathlon will take place on the 27th June.\nAs things stand as of now the 2021 race will now be run safely under covid19 rules. This means a competitor will start every 10 seconds. The race is now limited to 200 entries. Perfect for athletes of all stripes\, the swim takes you out into the Bay and the cycle along traffic-free roads before culminating with an epic run along the Bay Barrage. Come for the experience of a lifetime. \nCardiff Triathlon routes\n\n\n\nThe Cardiff Triathlon takes place in the city’s scenic bay and is one of the most hotly anticipated events of the year. \nEach swim section will take place in the Bay itself\, before a quick transition and out onto completely closed\, traffic-free roads. Finally\, the race will end with a stunning run along the Cardiff Bay Barrage. \nThere are five separate events: \nOlympic Triathlon: Swim 1500m\, Bike 37KM\, Run 9KM\nSprint Triathlon: Swim 750m\, Bike 18.5KM\, Run 4.7KM\nSuper Sprint Triathlon: Swim 400m\, Bike 9.3KM\, Run 2.5KM\nAge Group ITU Qualifier: Swim 750m\, Bike 20.5KM\, Run 5.2KM \nThis year’s event will also host the British Age Group Sprint Distance Triathlon Championships (Draft Legal) which doubles up as an Age Group ITU Qualifier. \nThis race allows elite athletes to qualify for the ITU Sprint Distance Triathlon World Championship’s in Bermuda\, 2022. DESCRIPTION:Event dates \nRace 1 : 27th June\, Horowhenua- 10 am\nRace 2 : 25th July\, Wellington – 10 am\nRace 3 : 21st Aug\, Kapiti\, in the dark – 6.30 pm \nThe Dirt Duathlon Series is run by the Big Bang Adventure Charitable Trust\nWe were established in November 2010 and are registered with the Charities Commission. Our registration number is: CC45878. \nOur trust is comprised of 4 trustees who wanted to share their enthusiasm for the outdoors and who recognised a need in the community for adventure-based activities. Our aim is to allow access to the outdoors in a relatively controlled and safe environment. \nTogether we have a combined experience of over 60 years in the outdoor industry\, from managing an outdoor company in Scotland\, to owning one in New Zealand. We have extensive event management experience and have worked the white waters of Venezuela\, Colorado\, New Zealand\, Scotland and lead multi-pitch rock climbing & ice climbing. We have participated in and instructed kayaking\, windsurfing\, sailing\, open boating\, SUP’s\, bugging\, abseiling\, bridge swinging\, mountain biking\, hiking\, canyoning\, cliff jumping\, team building activities and any other activity that keeps us away from the office! \nWe welcome you to join us in our next adventure in the Dirt Duathlon adventure racing series. \nCheers \nCarrie\, Marty\, Pete and Si \nCheck out our other event the Big Bang Adventure Race\, a 6-9 hr adventure race in November each year.
