There is also a five-lap Half Marathon course and our classic 1609m (one mile) sprint event open to serious and novice runners.

Come to soak in the atmosphere of the Slateman 10 weekend or for the epic surroundings at the Quarryman 5km Trail Run! \nLocation\nLlanberis\, Caernarfon LL55\, UK\nStart times\n5k: 5:15 pm \nRoute information\nThe Quarryman 5k runs in conjunction with the Slateman weekend\, which hosts triathlon\, duathlon\, and swim events. Therefore\, this is a perfect opportunity for those supporting the above races who wish to get in on the action with a smaller race.\nFrom the get-go\, this Race takes runners on some challenging climbs. Starting with the infamous ‘zigzags’\, runners are taken up a slate mountain to incredible views.\nFrom here\, the route tackles forest trails to the top of the main climb at Vivian Quarry\, where the picturesque views will help you forget your tired legs. Make inland connections via the Conwy Valley Line\, which runs through the Snowdonia National Park to Betws-y-Coed and Blaenau Ffestiniog. Services from the Midlands through Shrewsbury and Machynlleth link up with the Cambrian Line.\nThe closest station to Llanberis is in Bangor\, which is just under 10 miles away. A taxi from here will cost approximately £20\, or the number 85 bus will take you from the station and cost between £3-£5. It is possible to cycle.\nThe Bangor to Llanberis bus timetable can be viewed here.\nBy Car\nThere’s easy access from the North West along the M65 and A55. DESCRIPTION:Dirt Duathlon is a series like no other! We are made up of 3 mini adventure races (approx. 3 – 4 hrs. depending on how fast you are!) between June and August. You and your team can enter 1\, 2 or all three events. You train over winter. Why not race over winter too? \nIn teams of 2\, 3 4\, you can enter 1\, 2 or all three events on foot and bike\, experiencing the Big Bang Dirt Duathlon in the day or by night! \nRaces 1 and 2 will allow you to explore your adventure racing skills during daylight hours and progress in difficulty. Race 3 will test these skills to the max – in the dark! \nWe like to spread the love\, so the events are held between the Wellington\, Kapiti and Horowhenua regions. \n​\nWe know that’s how you like to roll to keep things easy. The day events will start at 10 am to have a lie-in. The night event will begin at 7 pm.

This will include all your necessary race numbers and your timing chip. \nAge Requirements\nCompetitors must be at least 17 years old to participate in the Olympic Triathlon and at least 15 to take part in the Super Sprint\, Sprint\, and Age Group Qualifier. \nCompulsory Kit\nYou must bring a wetsuit to the event\, and based on the water temperature; the wetsuit may be forbidden\, optional or mandatory. The water temperature will be measured on race day and communicated with everyone participating.\nForbidden above 22°C\nOptional between 22°C and 14°C\nMandatory below 14°C\nYou must bring your own bike and helmet; E-bikes and power-assisted bikes are not allowed\, but any other bike is\, including mountain bikes. \nCut-off Times\nOlympic: Swim cut-off: 50 minutes\, bike course must be clear by 10:00.\nSprint: Swim cut-off: 30 minutes\, bike course must be clear by 10:00.\nSuper Sprint: Swim cut-off: 20 minutes\, bike course must be clear by 10:00.\nWorld Triathlon Age Group Qualifier: Swim cut-off: 30 minutes\, bike course must be clear by 12:50. \nTransition\nTransition opens early on the morning of the event and closes no later than 45 minutes before the first wave starts.\nThe transition will only be open for racking on the day of the event. It is not possible to leave your bike overnight. You may not enter transition for any reason after the allocated time. \nBTF Membership\nIf you are not a member of the British Triathlon Federation\, your entry will include the cost of a day membership for £6.\nWorld Triathlon Age Group Qualifier\nYou will need to have a valid membership by 17:00\, three working days before.
