With a hog-roast\, wine at drinks stations\, and stunning views along the way\, this is so much more than just a race. Enjoy live music\, great food\, and a fantastic atmosphere in the Bacchus Wine Half Marathon and 10k! \nWhere and when\nLocation\nDenbies Wine Estate\, London Rd\, Dorking RH5 6AA\, UK\nStart times\nSun 11th Sep 2022\nHalf Marathon | 9:30 am\n10k | 10:45am\n2k Fun Run | 11:05am \nRoute information\nThis undulating\, multi-terrain course takes place within and around the stunning Denbies Wine Estate. All routes offer beautiful views over the Mole Valley\, Ranmore Common\, and the North Downs\, and runners are welcome to run as quickly as possible or take their time and enjoy the wine sampling stations on the route.\nThe drinks stations are what separates this event from all the others. But\, not just any old drinks stations\, the last two along the route serve wine and food and soft drinks. After the race\, enjoy the hog roast\, where the party carries on well into the evening.\nA completely traffic-free course\, all routes start and finish by the main building at Denbies\, and there’s only one crossing of a significant road directed by marshals. \nWhat’s included\n– Finisher’s T-Shirt (Half Marathon only)\n– Finisher’s Medal\n– Free race photos\n– Ticket to the post-race hog roast\n– Complimentary wine and snack stations\n– Prizes for best fancy dress \nEvent day logistics\n08:15 Registration opens\n09:30 First Half Marathon wave starts\n10:00 Second Half Marathon wave starts\n10:15 Third Half Marathon wave starts\n10:30 Final Half Marathon wave starts\n10:45 First 10k wave starts\n11:00 Second 10k wave starts\n11:05 2k fun run starts\nStart Times\nThere will be eight start waves. The first five will be for the half marathon\, starting at 9:30 am with 400 runners each. Subsequent waves will be set off in 15-minute intervals.\nThere will also be two 10k waves starting at 10:45 am.\nThere will only be one children’s wave\, starting at 11:05\nAll entrants must pre-select their waves on the checkout page.\nAge Requirements\nHalf Marathon: open to runners that are 18 years or over\n10k: Under 18’s may take part but will receive a specially marked number and will not be served alcohol\n2k fun run: this event is primarily aimed at children and will be free to enter (Parents can run with children).\nRegistration\nRegistration will be at the black tents in the race car park. All entrants must collect their race packs from this location. Make sure to arrive an hour before your intended start time.\nRace Numbers\nYour race number will have detachable tickets that can be exchanged for food and drink at the hog roast.\nWine stations\nThere will be plenty of wines on offer at the wine stations along the course. There will be red\, white\, and sparkling wines on offer\, all grown at the vineyard. It must be emphasised that the wine will be tasting samples\, and all entrants should only take one glass per station. There will also be soft drinks available for younger participants or runners who do not wish to drink alcohol.\nBag Drop\nA secure bag drop will be available in the Denbies main building\, accessed via the large marquee on the right of Denbies main building. The baggage area is operated at all times. There will be a tear-off bag tag at the bottom of your race number; make sure to attach it to your bag.\nT-Shirt\nHalf Marathon runners can redeem their free T-shirts at the finish after receiving their medal. However\, 10k runners will not receive a free T-shirt but can pre-order one and collect it with their race number. \nT-Shirt Size Guide\n(T-shirts are unisex sizing)\nXS – Chest = 45cm Length = 66cm\nS – Chest = 48cm Length = 68cm\nM – Chest = 51cm Length 70cm\nL – Chest = 54cm Length 72cm\nXL – Chest = 57cm Length 74cm\n2XL – Chest = 60cm Length = 76cm\n(Chest measurements are for one side of the t-shirt measured whilst lying flat).\nHeadphones\nIt is advised not to run with headphones on the route\, but runners can at their own risk.\nDogs\nYou may run with your dog\, but they must be kept on a leash at all times\, and it is done at your own risk. SUMMARY:ULTRA X 125 ENGLAND
DESCRIPTION:Ultra X 125 England takes place in the Peak District National Park\, an upland area characterised by vast green landscapes\, rounded hills\, plateaus\, valleys\, limestone gorges\, and gritstone escarpments. \nInhabited from the Mesolithic era\, the Peak District has a rich history of agriculture\, mining\, and quarrying\, and is now famous for its spectacular scenery\, spa towns\, caves\, and network of footpaths and cycling trails. With a huge variety of remote terrain\, challenging climbs\, and stunning upland scenery on offer\, the Peak District is one of the best trail running locations in the country. \nUltra X 50 England (50km single-stage race) takes place on the second day (Sunday) of Ultra X 125 England. Both races are held under full UK Athletics permit granted through the TRA. \n \nMEDAL RIBBONS\nAll finishers will receive a race medal. Different medal ribbons will be awarded based upon the finishing times outlined below. \nAs part of our Sustainability Policy\, the Green Ribbon will be awarded to the competitor that displays the highest commitment to reducing their environmental impact both in preparation for and during the race (as determined by the organisers).
