DESCRIPTION:Haldon Night Trail Race 2022\nOur popular night trail race returns to Haldon Forest for 2022. There’s a single loop 10K course and a shorter 5K course. New for 2022 is a fancy dress category\, and there’ll be prizes for the best fancy dress. And there’s a team competition too! \nFor the children\, we offer a fun one-lap 1K race (3-7 yrs) or a two-lap 2K race for slightly older children aged 8-11. Routes are clearly marked with reflective poles & arrows.\nFor all kids races we are happy for adults to run with them for no additional charge. Head torches or chest torches will be needed.\nThere is plenty of parking (chargeable) & there will be catering on site. \nWHAT YOU GET \n\nProfessional RFID chip timing\nFully marked & marshalled course\nFree event photos\nFancy dress competition\nTeam prize\nMedals for all finishers\nPrizes for overall & category winners\nProfessional First aid\nEvent caterers selling hot drinks & food\nPublic liability insurance\nWater & feed stations\nCustom race number\nToilets\nGreat race experience\n\nEVENT INFORMATION\nParking\nHaldon Forest\, Bullers Hill\, Kennford\, Exeter EX6 7XR.   Travelling by car on the A38\, turn off at the exit for Exeter Racecourse (there are no slip roads for this turning). Follow the signs for Haldon Forest Park. The nearest postcode for sat nav is EX6 7XR but look out for the roadside banners directing you to the car park. The most accurate way to find our car park is using What3Words what3words.com/chuck.kicks.ruffling. \nAwards and Medals\nAll entries will get a finishers medal plus special podium medals & prizes. For the 10K race we also do awards for Vet 40\, Vet 50 & Vet 60 \nFor the kids races there are three categories: Under 8\, Ages 8-9 and Ages 10-11. \nFAQS\nWe recommend trail shoes for all our night runs. You should also wear a hi-viz top or vest so you can be seen on any road sections or crossings. Bring warm clothing to change into afterwards. And of course\, you’ll need a suitable head or chest torch. \nFor our night runs\, you need a suitable headtorch. Chest-mounted torches are also acceptable.

DESCRIPTION:Dorney Lake Christmas Half Marathon\nSet at the spectacular\, flat\, and smooth-surfaced Dorney Lake near Windsor\, this Christmas Half Marathon event takes you around the perimeter of the iconic water. \nThe legendary Eton Dorney – as Dorney Lake was known during London 2012 – held 30 events throughout the Olympics\, with Team GB taking a total of 12 medals. Soak up the atmosphere and invoke their heroics to inspire you to a new PB! \nThe Dorney Lake course is nestled amongst 450 acres of glorious parkland – including an Arboretum and Nature Conservation area – whilst being just a few miles from Windsor and a short drive from Heathrow airport and West London. \nEvent merchandise is available for purchase during registration for delivery by the following weekend when ordered by Sunday. \nAll of our events are organised following government and governing body COVID-19 guidance. We recommend participants familiarise themselves with the information therein\, specifically sections­­ 5 (Cycling)\, 6 (Running) & 7 (Transition)\, for details on equipment and their expected conduct during the event. Entry includes day membership for non-BTF members\, which will be provided on the event day. \nBib Numbers \nBib numbers (and bike stickers where applicable) are available for collection at the event only\, participants should not expect to receive anything by mail. \nResults \nAll finishers will receive a medal on completing their event and\, subject to a competitive field of participants\, prizes may be available for the top three places overall – and the top place in each of the veteran categories (V40/V50/V60/V70) – for both females and males at each distance. Winners will be notified via email by the end of the following week once results are considered final. \nPacers \nPacers will not be offered at this event. \nMedical Cover \nSuitable medical cover is provided at our events in case of a medical emergency. \nBag Drop \nWhilst we recommend bringing as little as possible\, runners can leave essential belongings with us using the tear-off baggage strip on their bib. \nPhotography \nEvent images are expected to be available\, usually within 24 hours of the event. \nWater Stations \nWater will be available on the Run routes only. Duathlon participants must carry with them anything necessary to refuel and hydrate during the Bike leg. \nToilets \nToilets will be available around the start/finish area for use throughout the event. \nChanging Rooms/Showers \nThere are no dedicated changing rooms/showers. \nOther Information \nWheelchairs \nThis event is suitable for wheelchair users. Any participants wishing to compete with specialised equipment are asked to contact us before entering to ensure we can accommodate any additional requirements. \nBuggies\, Pushchairs and Strollers \nAs UK Athletics licensed events\, the pushing of persons in any device in the Run Categories is prohibited under the UKA Rules of Competition – including\, but not limited to – buggies\, pushchairs\, strollers (or similar) and wheelchairs. \nSpectators \nSpectators are permitted at this event. \nEarphones/Headphones \nNoise-cancelling earphones/headphones are prohibited and whilst we discourage the use of other earphones/headphones in running events\, participants choosing to use them should ensure they are set to a low enough volume that instructions from event officials can be clearly understood. \nThe use of earphones/headphones is prohibited throughout the Duathlon. \nDogs \nParticipants must not be accompanied by a personally owned or controlled dog during an event. Entries may be accepted from participants with medical assistance dogs\, subject to them being correctly registered and identifiable as such and subject to prior approval by the Event Director.

SUMMARY:Denbies Santa Run 2022
DESCRIPTION:It’s never too early to start thinking about Christmas and slipping into that red and white suit for a little festive fun and exercise at the Denbies Santa Run 2022. This will be the fifth time we’ve organised the event at Denbies and it’s been popular since day one. \nWe are already looking forward to the spectacle of hundreds of red-suited\, bearded Santas weaving in and out of the vines. If you are worried that you might not have the right outfit for the event\, worry not because we provide the suits as part of the entry fee. It’s one size to fit all\, although there is also a children’s size suitable for kids under 10. If you have your own suit\, you are welcome to wear it and you can certainly add embellishment to the ones we provide. \nThe event is very much a Christmas Fun Run. It isn’t timed and while there are medals and numbers there are no prizes for being first across the line. The numbers are there to identify yourself in the post-race photos because strangely it’s hard to pick out one Santa from another behind the white beards. Free digital downloads of your post-race photos are included in the entry fee. What is also included in the entry fee is a post-run cup of mulled wine and a mince pie (with soft drink options for children). \nThe run is two laps of a 2.5K route which broadly follows a circular route out and around Denbies main building taking in parts of the North Downs Way on a mixed track of concrete\, dirt trails and grass. If you are worried your children won’t manage the full 5K you can do one lap and still earn the medal\, mulled wine and mince pie. The route may be a bit muddy under foot as parts of it are on the North Downs Way through a wooded seciton but is suitable for running buggies/ strollers. \nVenue: Denbies Wine Estate\, Dorking \nStart time: 10:30 am \nEntries close: Thursday 8th December or when the race reaches capacity. \nEntry Fee: Adults £27 / Children under 15 £15 \nEntry fee includes: \n– Santa suit\n– Finishers Medal\n– Mulled Wine or soft drink\n– Mince Pie\n– Free Parking\n– Free race photos \n   \n
